Hopefully there will be no surprises and Liverpool will tour. Surprise results can often be seen in the federation cup. Liverpool will be able to win the Shewsbury game even if they don't come out with the main squad. Chelsea didn't leave it to chance yesterday, they won 5-1. Manchester City won 4-1. Let's see how the matches will turn out today.

Manchester City want to secure a big point gap with the rest of the teams before the next round of the Champions League. They already have a big gap with the others but they have still four matches before the Sporting match in the Champions League. And two of them might be tough for them. One of these matches is against Chelsea in a week. Chelsea are one of the most powerful teams now. Even though the match is in Etihad, Chelsea still have the potential to surprise City. And the other match is against Southampton. In Etihad, Southampton obtained one point by a 0-0 result. City will need to play really carefully not to do the same mistake.
This will be an interesting spectacle of the match between Manchester City vs Chelsea. Of course Chelsea want to win and reduce the difference in points even though it is difficult. And Manchester City will not give up so easily, City are at the top of their game. If Manchester City win this game, I think it will be easier for them to lock up the title before the League ends.

I think City will get the CL trophy within the next 2 seasons if not this season.
As the team looks very well composed and everyone knows what their role is in the team. Pep also does a good job of rotating the squad so every player is happy with the playtime they are getting. And Pep is one of those coaches who knows how to bring out the best in each player. Overall I think with the money Pep is getting, City should be winning a major trophy or two within the next 2 seasons.

The opportunity for City to win CL this year is good enough if they can maximize what they have now. They have great players, great coach as well as great teamwork. They are also having great chance to win EPL this year so City's fan must be hoping them to win both trophies or at least the EPL trophy this year where the chance is quite big because most other competitor is not playing well.
For the Premier League trophy I'm sure Manchester City will win it. But for the Champions League I'm not sure, because other teams have played as well as Manchester City. I think Real Madrid and Bayern Munich would probably be strong candidates for that.

Yes they have good chance to win the champions league but they have work towards it very well, more effort in their performance because their other strong teams too like Liverpool that are good that things can just change all of a sudden. Things like this are unexpected sometimes.

Eh Palace down a goal. They're not playing with their best team but surprised to see Clyney still on the bench after conceding. This team looks pretty awesome with their regular three (and Zaha of course) but without them, they look almost as if they do belong a division down.

Guess they think mid-table survival's better than FA Cup distractions.
FA Cup isn't interesting for most clubs, they tend to play with substitutes and test them there. Crystal Palace won the game with 2 goals to 0. Newcastle lost its game. Chelsea is leading with 4 goals in the half time although I see them playing with top players.
There will be games between West Ham - Leeds and ManU - Aston Villa that might eliminate a serious threat for the title Roll Eyes

Most clubs in the so-called Big Four or Big Six, I guess, maybe not, at least not in these early rounds. But the trophy's still got a lot of prestige and in my mind, a big chance for the lower sides to get some confidence, get some medals, get some prize money, and don't forget, the winner gets a spot in Europa League too. That's worth a hell lot of money for any team outside the normal league qualification places.

Palace won after fighting back a goal down by the way. Newcastle the biggest shock, Trippier will be having a nightmare or two haha. Amazing games coming up, and we have TWO non-league teams who made it through!

It is true that Guardiola is doing a great job. Then the players are also great and they are having good results. But we should not forget one of the factors that  is contributing to their success, which is stability or peace of mind.
The coach is not under duress to perform or get sacked. The players are not getting threats or criticism from the fans, just as Pogba and Co are getting from Manchester United fans.
So, when the whole system is stable, the results would be positive.
Guardiola as lucky coach I think because with Manchester City support with much money and easy for him to get any player he wants, I think if he back to Barcelona trough financial crisis he will faced difficulty how to make one club could get trophy. Depend with how much money support by Manchester City Guardiola keep as failed coach because never giving champion league trophy for last two club from Bayern Munich and now he has been several years with Manchester City but every always failed give champion league trophy, although support with much money and billion value transfer player but never success get this trophy.

You guys talk as if Manchester City are just doing well because  they have great players, you don't praise pep for his work, comparing city squad with Liverpool and Chelsea and Manchester United is not much different in term of quality.Vincent company, yaya toure, David Silva and kun Aguero have all left but you won't notice it because of the constant thinking of pep.

I totally agree with you on that. This is not only the success of the players. The Pep Guardiola factor shouldn't be forgotten. Maybe Manchester City have very great players thanks to being a very rich club. But they owe this success to Guardiola's nearly perfect game plan. It is very important for a team to have the right system for the players. Otherwise, none would change even if you have the best lineup in the world. This is the truth of football.

It wouldn't be good for Manchester United supporters to rely on Cristiano Ronaldo mostly from now on. And the game plan of the team shouldn't be like this too. Because he is not in the old days anymore. He isn't performing at the same level even though he seems to score still. The most important thing that Manchester United need to do is to build a solid team play. This is Rangnick's responsibility mostly. If he manages to build this, then we will be able to start observing a high-performing Manchester United.
To be honest, I do not understand how Rangnick became the manager of Manchester United. In my understanding, this is not a top coach and he is definitely no better for Solskjaer. It seems as if the owners of the club want save money where it is absolutely impossible to do so. At some point it might seem that things are going better in Manchester, but this is not so. I will say that nothing has changed in the club, and the team still needs a real high-level coach.

Yeah, Manchester United are still much better now comparing to the Solskjaer's time. Because they were showing an awful performance back then. Rangnick's game plan is better but this is still not good enough for the team considering their recent performance. If he builds the rightest game plan for Manchester United, they can maintain this for a long time and achieve bigger successes too. But on the other hand, Rangnick is their interim manager as he's going to leave the club this summer. After that, Manchester United will need to take the right steps after bringing a new manager.
The possibility to replace him this January is impossible, Rangnick will continue to train until finishes. we all know since Ronaldo come, MU seems always had problems with a strategy which are not suitable for what Ronaldo wants. What MU does now is how to make calm him because football is not only 1 person but for the team. Ronaldo has to accept whatever a coach decides such as being a substitution or putting him in another position.

Leicester showed character beating Watford 4:1 after they went down early enough, I think Leicester has the team but they keep failing to cement a good spot in English football, I think they would go far in the FA cup and hopefully they can win it, it was an exciting FA cup today no much suprise for me, Chelsea bran through chester field by 5: 1 been a while Tuchel's men scored that much a good FA cup round for all the English premier league teams let's see what they do tomorrow again.

FA Cup is having some predictable results, but tomorrow's matches will be the games that will surprise, for example liverpool will probably lose because they don't have their best players, tottenham will probably win because they will play for real, while Manchester united may lose because he won't play with all his best players, knowing the new Manchester coach he will put other players and not his main players
Liverpool is defensively a strong team. Despite not having their best players, they should still be able to beat Shrewsbury. While Tottenham will surely win against Morecambe. Although, the results might come out differently, because this teams will probably won't want to lost and will put up a strong fight. Liverpool and Tottenham have to play carefully. However, Manchester United Vs Aston villa will be a tough game. IMO, I think it will end draw.

Fa Cup games so much today, I get tired looking at the fixture.
I'll be down for the likes of Leicester City, Brentford, and Chelsea to win their games.
Chelsea should do so in the first half having a great time against Manchester City few days ahead.
Manchester City scoring four goals last night playing from away.
All the teams you mentioned above won it by 4-1 4-1 and 5-1 for chelsea.

damn must be nice odds for the handicap like -2.5 for all of them in multi.
chelsea have a tight schedule as none of the fixtures got postponed like others , pretty upset with FA who doing this to chelsea even we have asked them to cancel some match with chelsea players got covid few days ago.
the next two games for chelsea are against tottenham in a 2nd leg of league cup this wednesday and a very important match against manchester city 3 days after that.

It's weird that City never became a "tournament" team, I honestly expect them to have the 7 titles in a season record that has never been done before but they lost community shield this season, so I wondered one thing, is it the community shield they lost to Leicester this year that is the important one, or is it next seasons that goes into calculating?

So, let's assume that City wins the league, they win FA cup, and they win champions league, and they win caraboa cup etc etc, would that mean the super cups needs to be the ones at the start of the season or by early next season to be considered 7 cups in a year?

In any case, City already lost it this year, even if it is just because of caraboa cup, because they are out of that. With this much success in EPL and nothing else, it is starting to look a bit weird for them, like we know they are great, we see it in the league every season, how come they have hard time winning anything else?

I have to completely agree with you on that, you hear people saying that City only play well cause they have quality players, but it's not all about having the players, you'll also have to manage them, and that's something pep is doing very well, for example they have been without a striker for a very long time and they are still scoring more goals that most of the teams in the world, the tactics pep brings to the game is second to none, and City's brilliance is not just down to the players, but also the ingenuity of the manager, and I think that City would actually have a couple of problems themselves when pep leaves the club.

Man City is always one step ahead of the other big clubs. The first step and has a very high-quality player performance. Of all the matches that Man City has gone through, they remain the club most idolized to win trophies. The most awaited candidate to show how much the team's management from the coach will determine which direction Manchester City will take.

I really love to watch West Ham's dedicated game in this season. They started stumbling a few weeks ago and got bad results as a result of it. But they still stood up and they are on a win streak right now by two games. And they are gonna play their missing game against Norwich a few days later. Norwich shouldn't be a big deal for them. They are the worst team in the league literally. West Ham can maintain this run.
