^^ I think that Conte is not the one to be blamed for this loss. It's just that he's trying his best with the squad he's been given and I don't think he can do anything more over here.
Chelsea are overall a better well-rounded team than Spurs both on paper and on the field. They have got quality players and players who can single-handedly win the matches. That own goal was unfortunate but it is what it is. In order to get better results, Spurs have to buy better players.

Actually tottenham played pretty badly in that match, and we can looks like the totteham hotspur game is far from the quality of a big team, I don't know what the real reason is tottenham playing so bad but it's clear that their game is not like used to be, and even I see if 2 the goals created by the chelsea players actually started from the mistakes of the tottenham players, and also the lack of coordination of the tottenham players made it so easy for the chelsea players to create lot chances that were quite dangerous.
With a 2-0 win it will certainly be easier for chelsea in the second leg later and I think now chelse have stepped one foot into the English league cup final.

Yep, I agree with ones saying that Tottenham was below par. They are not having a really good season so far, I always felt Chelsea was under complete control of the game and that they intentionally slowed the game down after securing a 2-0 lead.

Still - Conte is a good manager that has to be given some time to push his ideas through. England is a highly competitive environment where he cannot change much throughout the season, I will judge him after he does a full preseason with his team.

Despite not being in a very bad classification (compared to the opponents they have in front of them), I don't think Tottenham is having a great season.

I've seen much better times for them. So I wasn't too surprised by the result. Chelsea, despite not being playing very well, is better than Tottenham.

And if the second half is indicated, then I don't think that Tottenham played well in that half too. They were just lucky that Chelsea let them have some goal chances. I don't understand how you say Tottenham played well? Did you watch the match? Tottenham played very badly. Basically, they only resisted Chelsea's attacks. However, they could not resist the attack well. Tottenham made only 5 shots in full 90 minutes, of which only 2 were on target shots. Moreover, Tottenham's ball possession was 36%. We do not consider the Tottenham team to be a weak team. Of course we expected more from them.
Chelsea have played well and they deserve this win. I think they will win the second leg as well.

Conte is trying with this Tottenham team. You should not be expecting a prompt growth or an instantaneous performance from this Conte side. This spurs side have improved, enough for some spurs contingent to think they had a decent shout in that Chelsea game but in reality they're still fairly average and need new players, creative ones. We all know that Conte is yet to be given some funds to get his kind of players. He should face criticism when the transfer window is over and he does not perform. I think he might likely reverse to his 3-5-2 formation, the one he used in Inter Milan. The 3-5-2 offers more creativity than the 3-4-3 formation. The 3-man midfield has organisation and the shape to create more chances and play amongst themselves so they can link up easily with the strikers.

I thought that Tottenham also would play strongly and put up a great fight here. But especially the first half was under the dominance of Chelsea. Tottenham is a ordionary team. The main players in the team are Kane and Son. Conte is now the team coach. If Tottenham's management wants to make the team stronger, Conte must be paid to have the players he wants.
The team will not improve unless Tottenham's midfield is strengthened. At the same time the defense needs to be strengthened a bit. Must come to pick new players. Forward. Kane, Son and Moura are enough. The team needs an attacking midfielder. If there are not enough talented players in the team, it is foolish to expect good performance from them.
