Was a bit biased with my predictions yesterday.
Wanted Brentford to secure a win against Chelsea, although I clearly saw this is tuchels first, he'll sure give he's all in the Fa Cup.
Chelsea did well, secured the win comfortably.
Nigez Saul and  Kepa got me last night, they did great in their various positions.
Kepa keeping a clean sheet in the process, goals from an own goal and Jorginho's penalty.
Chelsea needed that win, they grind for it till the end because if they had lost that game it we disabilize there spirit and they will lose confidence, because they have been having bad results lately, Thomas Tuchel will be proud of nigez Saul for such a performance, am happy for him also(Saul) he has been criticized lately too much so is nice seeing him play better.kudoz to kepa too

I honestly believe that the game was one of the most fun matches I have seen for a long time. I have to say Liverpool didn't have their best roster out there, and Vardy showed once again why he should be considered one of the best scorers in the league, most people do not really consider him as a transfer target but him in a team like City would be insane to consider, but for some reason Kane is always seen a lot more desirable.

In any case it was a great game to watch, I had so much fun watching it, I am not fan of either team so I could easily say no matter who won, it was a great game to watch for me anyway and Liverpool ended up winning, a little bit more dramatic, a bit more later but still the result I expected.

As a Liverpool fan, I think its safe to say that was the best match I've watched and enjoyed very well since that match at old Trafford where Liverpool thrashed man Utd 5-0. Both Leicester and Liverpool played passionately like it was a champions league final. I'm happy Liverpool did a comeback and eventually go on to win the clash. That's what makes English football better than other leagues. Unmatched entertainment.
Leicester and Brendan Rodgers will be feeling very sad the way the game ended, they have the opportunity to go to the semi final on their hands but the were not descipline enough to end the game with a victory, I thought that cup would have been an encouragement for Leicester this season because they are having a poor season.even just reaching the semis would have been good for them.

West Ham won only one game in the last five matches with 2 draw and 2 defeats in addition to this one. Seeing the next games, I think West Ham won't have hard times against Southampton

They might not have a hard time against Southampton but I doubt that they will win the game. Southampton hasnt win a single game from the last 6 games so there is a good chance that Southampton will try to win this one or atleast try to get another draw. 3 Draws from the last 5 games record for Southampton so I wont be surprised if this ends up with another draw

I honestly want to see how Moyes handle this one though. He needs to keep on winning if he wants to get to the top 4 spot but its not going to be an easy task with quite a number of players getting injured and Coufal red carded from the last game

I admit that West Ham's performance this season has been extraordinary by beating several strong teams, and now West Ham can be
in 5th position with the quality of the players who are mostly mediocre which is a very good thing. But in the last 5 games West Ham's
form has decreased and  inconsistent, this makes me doubt West Ham can beat Southampton. Moreover, Southampton has so far draw 8 times
in 17 matches, so it is not surprising that Southampton has draw again. I agree with your prediction, the possibility of the West Ham vs Southampton
match is likely to end in a draw. Even the previous meeting between Southampton and West Ham ended in a draw, so it's very possible that
the next West Ham vs Southampton match will end in a draw again. Moreover, the quality of the players that Southampton and West Ham have are not
much different, but what makes the difference is the fighting spirit of West Ham players is slightly better than Southampton.

After putting a big character in the Liverpool game last night, Leicester are going to have an away game against Manchester City in the Premier League three days later. But this time, even much more difficult game is waiting for them. Manchester City are just an unbelievable team in especially their home games. They have their games under control like all the time. And a similar thing is likely to happen here also. I think that Manchester City will be the winner by at least two goals.
Leicester city has shocked Manchester city last season when everyone thought Manchester city was untouchable, I think in that game I can't predict who would win, because I believe it's an open game, Manchester city are good in attack but apart from Diaz they are very average in defense and Leicester has the speed to turn defence into fast attack, so it could be a game where Manchester city has the possession but Leicester take the win.

Open game you said ?
Judging from the game last night alone, it clear show's that they can score goals but failing to defend.
True they got everyone perplexed after the 2--5 win against Manchester City.
Manchester City has score 3plus goals in most of them home games, so I see no doubts if they do so during the weekend.

It's true as you say, because apart from having quality players who are quite capable, of course the strategy that Klopp has applied in every match has often changed the direction and also the results of Liverpool's matches so far, I think Klopp knows very well what to do when Liverpool are behind goals from opponents and what I admire most about Klopp is that he is very good at seeing the placement of players in his formation if there are other players who are injured, not infrequently during this time he plots players in other positions that are not actually the players original positions but it turns out that the placement is quite successful in replacing the position left by other players.
Kloop deserves to be with Liverpool, I hope he continues to be added to his contract there. Well the trophy is not grand, but the reputation of the trophy winner will be a reference for the winning club. We will continue to see fierce competition, heat up and also the most super optimal performances from these 4 big clubs. On the other hand, Man City continues to lead and are difficult to catch, the problem is that they know that the difference in points is a reference to continue to be at the top of the table. So they also don't leave many gaps when playing with weak good opponents, especially with top clubs. under Pep Guardiola was impressive.

I agree with you absolutely. Jurgen Klopp is the best thing that has happened to this team. His game plan is like a perfect match for Liverpool and we have seen this many times so far. They won the Champions League also and didn't content themselves with only the Premier League title. And they are still a consistent team I think. They are doing a great job in the Premier League and the Champions League both. We will see how it will end this time.

Yea... Jürgen Klopp is a genius in what he does, he adapt to difficult situation and make it an advantage to his side, he plays and arrange his formation to the strength of his attacking players, right now he plays long balls to Salah to use his individual quality to win him match.and his plan B is to work with his full backs to cross the ball steady to the penalty box.if Salah is not available he works with Sadio Mane strength by allowing Robertson to be overlapping and supporting mane in attack why Arnold stay back and help balance the defence.even when Origi is given chance the system change.

I also think that Manchester City will win, but the odds for City to win are very small, only 1.18. By the way, in the Tottenham - Crystal Peles match, the odds for Tottenham's victory are 1.72, which take into account how well Tottenham is now playing well and that it will be a home match for them. I also think that Arsenal will beat Norwich, but the odds for the arsenal are only 1.4, which is not enough for a single bet.

The Carebo Cup and FA Cup were once competitions for Academy players and a few first-team players, but now big teams continue to enter their best players, ensuring that smaller teams have no chance of winning the trophy; for the past ten years, the top four teams have won the trophy, with no underdogs.

I see a final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Obviously! The game has changed, with the chances of winning prestigious trophies (and I ain't saying the Carabao and FA Cup aren't prestigious trophies) narrowed down to a few top teams witch is highly competitive amongst those few. In order for the other teams not to go trophy less, reserving your top players is a no option. You can imagine Klopp yesterday, haven't made even a single sub in the first half, made over 4 subs in the space of 4 minutes. Though the Tottenham vs Chelsea fixture would be a tough one, I still see them in the finals to face off Liverpool.

Leicester City did messed up Last night, Jamie Vardy should have scored an hat-trick in the first half of the game.
Had a beautiful game in the first half, played better than Liverpool, too bad they could not hold up the goals.
The young lads fielded couldn't withstand Leicester City during the first half, good decision making from Jurgen Klopp.
Bringing Diego Jota was the best thing that happened last night.... good comeback from.the red's.
I agree that Leicester should have been able to finish this after getting ahead by 3-1. But I assume that they overcame by languor and let Liverpool equalize the score somehow and find a new hope. But I still can't say that Leicester messed up big. Because they really did their best to qualify for the semi finals in the EFL Cup. They really were aiming to at least win a title in this season. But Liverpool didn't let them move on.

Leicester played very well. I have no regrets that they have been defeated. Liverpool are a very strong and experienced team. Everyone assumed that they would win. But if Leicester had played defensively in the second half, they would have won the match. It was Leicester's strategic mistake. They thought they could score more goals in the second half. As a result, they lost the match.

As I expected, initially Liverpool didn't play 100% of the main players but after losing 1-3 at half time. Entering the second half Klopp replaced 3 players at once, Liverpool were still lucky to score a goal in the last minute of the match in normal time. At least in a tournament like this I only consider the composition of the players being played, because it's not a top priority so it's very possible for top teams to rule out a tournament like this by only playing second-tier players.
Jurgen Klopp did not set a big target in the Carling Cup and qualifying for the semi-finals is just a bonus, it can be seen from the composition of the players that almost 80% are filled with young players who don't get a chance in the Premier League, only playing two senior players Jordan Henderson and Firmino as players But fortunately Liverpool were able to win on penalties. But in the semi-final Arsenal were against Liverpool and I think Klopp is sticking with his experiments with second-tier players in the Carling Cup.

I honestly think Leicester played really well. Yeah they should have taken some chances but still they scored 3 goals early and put the pressure on Liverpool throughout the game unfortunately they were in loose in the end but overall I would say a well fought EFL quarterfinal from Leicester. Doesn't matters if they lost but they really played it well.

Do we have a dedicated thread for the cups or do we write in these ones? I see a lot of discussion regarding yesterday's games so I'll join here as well.

I felt Liverpool's team was really weak - there was no reason to start Koumetio instead of Konate. Konate needs games and Koumetio simply isn't anywhere near acceptable standard. Pair him with Bradley and Leicester was cruising - they could have scored 5 goals in the 1st half.

I loved the reaction after half-time though. Instant 3 substitutions, we dominated the game in a fantastic atmosphere and Minamino's goal was well deserved. I'm glad Kelleher managed to save 2 penalties as well - he should have reacted way better for their 1st and 3rd goals.

Arsenal in the semi, good 2 games coming.
Arsenal hosting Liverpool in the semifinals will be a very strong and interesting tie. On paper, Liverpool should win, but if this today Liverpool squad is what will be used, I don’t think Liverpool will have a chance. Arsenal will win in this team at the Emirates. Leicester city were caught off guard. They were not clinical defensively to withstand the unnecessary pressure from the Liverpool young starters. Liverpool a might look very invincible right now but Arsenal just need to play with lot of confident and intensity. In 2019, Arsenal won the community shield against Liverpool. So they shouldn't be scare of liverpool although it's going to be the tough game, but Arsenal have the chance to win Liverpool this time.
