Had it been I continued with my bet that Arsenal will score 2-0 against Southampton in first half I would have enough money by now. Nice game from arsenal. Chelsea vs Leeds still draw , the game is becoming so tense .

It was a thrilling encounter between Manchester City and Wolverhampton wanderers. Though Wolverhampton lost and that was greatly due to the sort of opponent they are facing who are at a critical point, very determined to keep being top of the table and look towards bagging points with the possibility of giving the 2nd and 3rd spot teams some gaps. Hence, there was no chance City was going to loose or share points with wolves but wolves proved themselves defensively and avoided more goals.

Being and staying consistent is not such an easy task. Ever since Chelsea came by that West Ham 3-2 Chelsea lose, its no doubt that some boots would be a bit shaking in the team and a growing tension but, I'm sure Chelsea won't go down easy given the fact that, they've still got a chance at the league.

Well surprisingly Leeds got the first goal and that has out pressure onto Chelsea and also Leeds are holding Chelsea quite well than the opponents they had in previous games. Still I think Chelsea will have change in tactics and find the lead soon enough in second half. Leeds are just barely holding them till now. Chelsea have lot of of good capable players so I think Chelsea still got this.

In another game Aston Villa vs Liverpool, Aston Villa are doing quite well holding Liverpool attacks. This is the game I am bit unsure about and is going on interesting as well. Liverpool maybe the favourite but I am not ruling out surprise either in this game.

I think it's too early to predict considering the season isn't over yet. Brentford has so far been a pretty competitive team in every match even though so far they have only been able to collect 17 points from 15 matches. Brentford can make it difficult for top teams on several occasions because he has a strong vision when playing. I'm just curious about Arsenal, Manchester United and also Tottenham this season because I think one of these three teams will qualify for the Champions League next season by ending the season at least in the top 4. That’s the problem with City this season. What they need is a real no. 9 out there. I said this in another thread, City looks stale and toothless. Come this January or the summer they should acquire a striker. I pretty much think they’ll go for the big names this summer with Kane and Haaland on top of the list. Maybe even Mbappe?

But the stale part is mostly because after they press and get the ball, they usually play it from the back. Unlike LFC, it’s go to the front right away asap before the opponent starts coming back to formation.

In this case, I appreciate the Wolves' game a little because even though they were heavily pressured and even with 10 players they couldn't help but endure the whole game but they were able to make City difficult in this match.
Luckily City can still win this match even though there is only one goal, and even then it is scored through a penalty

City had some good chances to score in the second half but missed. I think Wolves goalkeeper J. Sa played pretty well today because he made some great saves on a couple of occasions. Finally I can say that overall City did deserve 3 points today even though they only managed with 1 goal. Now Manchester City is still quite safe at the top of the standings with 38 points from 16 matches.

Some other match are going on where Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are playing their respective games and I think all three teams above will win today. It's still 0-0 now, but I'm sure the goals will come soon especially for Liverpool.

It really ended by the same score. But Manchester City could have even scored 5 or 6 goals at least when we take the statistics of the match into account. Wolves should be thankful for not facing a heavier loss in Etihad. A win is a win in the end and Manchester City have guaranteed their position for this week also. Maybe one of their biggest competitors lose points and it would be for the benefit of them.
