Indeed it's a good day for Arsenal FC. They are the only 'Top' team with convincing win today. Although, Chelsea's win isn't bad either but not convincing cause they were lucky with that. The game was heading for a draw. Arsenal winning Southampton not by a goal or 2 or even solicited penalty but by 3 good goals is a good one. I hope they can be consistent for most part of the season. That seems to be the major problem of the Arsenal team - One game hot, 3 games cold.
It was a wonderful day for Arsenal as they succeeded in defeating Southampton by 3-0 home. They were already the favourite side of this game and they did what was expected from them. They showed a dominant performance especially in the second half and deserved this win a lot. Southampton are really bad in this season and they should find a way somehow to pull themselves together.

Aston Villa is an ordinary weak team with a small streak of success, I think there is no doubt that Liverpool will win tonight. In my opinion, despite the fact that the odds of Liverpool's victory are very small, this match is well suited for multi-bets, since Liverpool's victory in a home match is almost guaranteed:
1.26 - 6.60 - 11.00

Even if I agree with you that Liverpool will get the win today, nothing is certain in football and especially in EPL. So personally, I won't risk to the slightest for any result with odds 1.26. The only thing that I might bet on from this game, would be both to score at ~1.87 or the corners of Reds +7.5 at 1.75. Tongue

You were damn right about the corners, but you were wrong about the BTTS. I don't even know how to evaluate the final result - on the one hand, it is quite logical given Liverpool's advantage, but in the last 10 minutes Aston Villa attacked recklessly and could well have made the score a draw, so this victory turned out to be very shaky.

It's sad that Manchester United has gotten this low. Norwich City shouldn't cause a Manchester United on paper but in recent times, the red side of Manchester have been shoulder of themselves. Winning team like Norwich isn't suppose to make them sweat like they did. Relying on Ronaldo's penalty to see the game off.
This was quite a difficult game for Manchester United but Ronaldo got fouled and won a penalty which he took and was a well take one as well. And in most games Ronaldo has scored these guys have won... And with Less than 12 minutes to go can these guys hold this lead against Norwich city who keep putting pressure on united.

Very close one for all of the top three today, but Chelsea took it to the limit. They are struggling a bit recently when it comes to scoring and taking the games home safely. I haven't seen the situation whether it was a penalty for Chelsea in overtime or not, but it was definitely an important penalty. There is now a 9 points gap between third and fourth place.

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
United has enough roster talent to challenge anyone, they have the team to beat all the other smaller clubs and dominate them if they can, and they have the roster to fight against the likes of LFC or City as well. Sure it is not easy to do that, but I am not saying they will win, or they may win, all I am saying is that they shouldn't lost 5-0 to begin with, their team is much better than that and getting that result was humiliating and totally beneath them.

So Ragnick doesn't even need to do much, he just needs to make sure he utilizes the roster properly and he could just let the boys get their win on their own without too much limitation. I still doubt that a team that finished third last season could end up being out of top three when they added Ronaldo and Sancho on the same team, just doesn't make sense for them to be any worse, even you and I could have get them to a decent place.

The same way of thinking has the Man Utd management when they sign Ole. That they won't need any experienced manager because the team has more than enough "talent". It turns out though that this isn't the right approach if you want to make a great team. Today Man Utd gets lucky and fortunate to have DeGea with steady hands otherwise things will be different.

Norwich is not the type of club Manchester United will struggle to win. I wasn't impressive with the way United performed in the match. They could have drawn the game, if not for the penalty kick they Luckily got. Although, it was a home match for Norwich City, but Manchester United had their full squad on the game, which could have made it more easily for them to win with many goals. Nevertheless, despite losing, I think Norwich City really tried their best.

In this time, after change in their coach position and just a second match of Ragnick there, I don't think Manchester United would have any comfortable match with any opponent. They can win against weak opponents but I don't believe they will begin such matches with ease.

Lots of pressure for both coach and players. Coach need to gain good results to get good start in a new club. Players need to show good performance to impress their new coach. If players fail they will lose positions to other players because a new coach usually is more flexible to change players in main squad for each match. They don't have or have less preconception about players so their mind are fresher for his player selection.

their performance was extraordinary in today's match because indeed they can outperform in all areas.
I think they are in a pretty good trend now after they can be said to be a team that has been suspended in the last few seasons and actually the performance they are aiming for is very much different from what they showed at the start of the league

All the top teams are struggling this matchday. ManCity, Liverpool and Chelsea all won their games only by narrow margins and in some cases by luck. Man United is also having problems in its game against Norwich and should already be behind in terms of chances. The current draw is lucky. Actually, only Arsenal has been convincing me this matchday.
You can imagine what a weekend. All the games won came by a penalty except for Arsenal. Only Arsenal came up to prove they deserved all 3 points in there match fixture against Southampton and they won with an axx whooping goal margin of Arsenal 3-0 Southampton. Aston Villa on the other hand was a tough one but still, I expected Klopp haven't haven't looking forward to a game with them and friend Steven Gerrard, to have triumphed easily with at least 2 goal margin.
The stable still stays as it is, with Manchester City taking the lead while Liverpool and Chelsea are just lagging behind but then, the mid tier teams came out strong this match day live but the top teams still managed to stay ahead and won all there games over. No points shared across all fixtures.

It's true that it's too early to say things like this but through the experience of the past seasons especially if you look at norwich, newcastle and burnley I think for brentford to be in the highest caste it is still possible and even very likely.
For newcastle, it might be a bit of an advantage because they have enough finances now so they can reshuffle the existing players.
Brentford won 2-1 in their last game vs Watford and this is proof that they have the capability to do that. Brentford will stay in the Premier League next season despite not being in the top 10 but they are a good team in my opinion compared to Newcastle so far.

I'm not sure Brentford will be a top team in the Premier League anytime soon, they need time to prepare everything and they need to have a lot of money to improve the quality of their players. The big opportunity now belongs to Newcastle but the top players and coaches won't be around in the next 1 to 2 seasons even if they have a lot of money.

Ah good to see Brentford winning the match with 2:1 against Watford. Was discussing yesterday that Brentford has less chance to win the match againt Watford as the top players from Brentford were not part of the match. But yes they proved that they can perform well with anyone in the team. Really need to appreciate the Brentford coach. Good play from Watford as well for the goal they made.

Lots of goals from penalties in multiple matches for the top teams competing at the moment.
Liverpool VS Astonvilla Salah penalty goal, City vs Wolves sterling penalty goal and chelsea vs leeds are currently a draw due to two penalties

maybe in today's match only arsenal will win the match without a penalty goal Cheesy

edit

chelsea lead 3-2 with a decisive goal from jorginho from a penalty too Cheesy
Funny enough Rudiger created the two opportunities for Chelsea in Leeds Utd 18 yard box, I was curious what was a Chelsea defender doing in that area? He a took a gamble and it worked for their team, in other time when a counterattack by their opponent is ensue he will surely pay for it, overall it was an entertaining match I believe Leeds Utd deserve a point, they play attacking football from the start to finish, congratulations to Arsenal also from bouncing back from a back to back defeats.
His positioning and movement was quite good and even the Leeds defenders had to knock him down twice in the box.
there was actually one chance for raphinha which it was a shame he couldn't convert it into a goal.

on the other hand i agree with what you said leeds played quite well and made chelsea difficult in this match

All the top teams are struggling this matchday. ManCity, Liverpool and Chelsea all won their games only by narrow margins and in some cases by luck.
Looking forward to the day Arsenal will be referred to back as a top team in the EPL. MUFC are just lucky to have safe hands De Gea and CR7 in their team, with their current very poor performance in this  Norwich game, if they face a much formidable opponent, MUFC will loose. Maybe the team is trying to adjust though to their new coaches pattern, but at the moment, they are playing below standard even with the lead.

And now Man United 1-0 in the 77th minute through a penalty  Grin I also saw that this week there were no surprises from the top teams they managed to get 3 points
As you said, it's a bit strange to see all the teams win by one goal difference only Arsenal win by 3 goals looks like planned  Cheesy I hope that doesn't happen

I think what is happening to Chelsea FC is expected in the premier league, a team that have been thriving for months without striker.. It is only expected they would meet their water-low. The deficiency in the team was not noticed earlier because without strikers they were scoring goals and winning matches but the truth is the team was not really balanced from the start of the season. The midfielders weren't creating chances for the strikers especially for Lukaku. Lukaku really suffered from lack of clear chances in matches but fans didn't notice because ofcourse Chelsea was winning anyways and the other top teams haven't been that great but it's now a concern since Liverpool and Manchester City are picking up speedily. Tuchel needs to work on his midfielders.
One could argue that chances created in matches ( like in today's game) are missed by these Chelsea's strikers but I thought Lukaku should have be the main striker not Harvetz that was missing clear chances. Chelsea will hardly win this season. They have not been great. It is just that other teams haven't been at their best.
Chelsea are gradually loosing the way to lift the title because of injuries although that’s part of football but I think Thomas Tuchel made a mistake by letting Giimour leave for Norwich, he would have been a perfect replacement for Jorginho or Kante or kolvaic than singing Saul from althletico who can not adapt to Epl. Tuchel should also understand that his attackers are not scoring because the midfield are not providing assist which is very important in football, he’s missing creativity and that’s what I think is obtainable

Manchester City    1 (penalty)-      0   Wolves
Liverpool               1 (penalty)-      0    Aston Villa
Chelsea                 3 (2 penalty) -  2 (1 penalty) Leeds United

A total of 7 goals have been scored in 3 matches. 5 of these goals came from penalties. I look forward to seeing the goal from Ronaldo today. Ronaldo will definitely score if Manchester United gets a chance to score a penalty. Let's see what happens.

Manchester United aswell scored from a penalty against Norwich and is currently leading 0-1. Again Man Utd struggling especially against a weak team such as Norwich. Cristiano Ronaldo was able to get the penalty and then score it and is the only bright light in this team.

Chelsea might have bagged all 3 points from Leeds and keep there spot on the league table but still, it was a disappointing win for me. Come on, they won but, it was by one last lucky penalty at the die minute. Chelsea ought to be better than this. The absences of Chilwell and Kante shouldn't make any difference on the squad. Besides, they've played countless times without them and still won games. I look forward to see a terrifying Chelsea as it once where just before the lose to West Ham. The league is still very open.

Firstly, I was a little upset that Pulisic was not released on the field ... shitty rule of three substitutions.

Secondly, everything is clear with Liverpool, they had to win, but after Salah's goal it was clear that Klopp was a little nervous looking at his watch several times, so I don't think that the coach Aston Villa is upset (especially considering that he won 3 out of 5 matches).

And thirdly, I'm not a philosopher, but it was clear from Gerrard's eyes that he was delighted with what he was doing now.  Cheesy
