Club Brugge still has a chance to make it to the round of 16, so PSG and City being the favorites in that group have to be very careful,
You're right Brugge might still have a chance of qualifying but I don't think it was as expected. Even so, PSG and Manchester City still have to be aware of their chances of winning the match vs. Leipzig.

Having said that, City's game against Everton was a perfect way to prepare for their game against PSG, Manchester City dominated the match and came out comfortable winners in the end. I know City lost their first leg tie against PSG, but in my opinion, they were the better team, I believe they must have corrected their mistakes and I am rooting for them to be victorious in this second leg fixture.
It would be nice if the Manchester City vs PSG match in the second leg ended in a PSG win because it would only give them a bigger chance to qualify for the next round even though Brugge won vs Leipzig on Wednesday as Manchester City are believed to have won the match vs Leipzig in the last group game.

I really did not expect Leeds to be in the relegation zone after 1/3 of the season. They were really good last season, this year I have a feeling everything's going against them. They were at least as good as Tottenham yesterday, the minimum they deserved was a point and again - they were left with nothing.

They are playing good enough so I feel they will eventually start climbing up - but the longer the season goes, the more fear crawls into the players and starts affecting performances too. I hope they start collecting points soon, they are a good addition to the league.

Let's see how Michael Carrick handles the team against Villarreal and Chelsea this are the two most important games at hand.
Maguire back there in our defense is also a huge setback, too slow and dull to be there.
I feel he's the worst defender in Manchester United history.

Yes, while Carrick will replace the position that was left by Solskjaer for a while, because Manchester may be looking for a coach who will work until the end of the season, it is enough to wait for Carrick progress to be able to handle Manchester in the two big games, so far it is Carrick who being Solskjaer assistant, of course, he has a game scheme that is almost the same as Solskjaer in my opinion, but right now of course he will have an absolute decision regarding the formation of the squad later, and hopefully he can apply a different squad to the Manchester defense later, because admit it or not Manchester has The defense has been pretty bad this season and it's time for Carrick to not played Maguire in the next game.

Villareal become first match debut for Michael Carrick as coach for Manchester United on champion league, this most important match for United to make them easy pass qualify to next stage if success get three points from Villareal, will be hard for Michael Carrick can make Manchester United will failed again like last year after not pass on group stage champion league. Villareal and United have seven points will make both team want to win in this match.

Yes, this is confirmed information - De Bruyne tested positive for coronavirus and is in a 10-day quarantine now. Undoubtedly, he is the brain and the engine of the team, but I think that in the home match against PSG City will cope even without him. PSG are not showing convincing performance and I doubt they will be as lucky as in the first leg.
I'm just worried that Manchester City will suffer 2 defeat for the 2 leg of the Champions League group stage because by far Messi is the player who often scores goals against City. Yesterday he scored his first goal in Ligue 1 and I believe he is in active mode as a player who will endanger the Manchester City defence. Even if PSG or City lose that game, but I think both team will qualify for the next round considering that Brugge will no longer harm them.

Messi is not a player that City should be afraid of, I think that now in PSG Messi is not even in the top 3 players in terms of importance. Firstly, all his life he played in a different manner, and secondly, you must not forget the factor of age. PSG and City are 99% secured to the playoff stage, but in fact, I would be glad if at least one of these moneybags left the tournament at this stage  Roll Eyes

I really want to see Zidane or Laurent Blanc as a Manchester United manager.
The Glazers gave more time and a second chance to Solskjaer, but he failed.
It's really difficult for a big team like Man United to find the right manager.People like Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal have failed miserably as Man United managers.Back in the late 80s,nobody was expecting Alex Ferguson to become the biggest manager in the history of Manchester United, but the owners let him work for several years before achieving any success.Nowadays,no football club owner has that patience.

Zidane has turned it down a number of times, and I don't think there is any other way than to find a potential coach like Zidane or even the Manchester United manager has another list they are considering. Time demands must also be made faster decisions. Improvements to the coach will greatly determine the future of Manchester United going forward.

Tottenham won as expected but I didn't expect to have many goals in this game.
It is a match, anything can be expected. I was expecting not team to score and likely that Tottenham would win and the club won.

Today City was very inspired and won by many goals and with that managed to stay in position 2 and honestly this is bad for liverpool, as a fan of liverpool I hoped that in this round city and chelsea would draw and liverpool could stay in second place and with the same points as chelsea
Even if it happened the way you want it, Chelsea will still not have the same point with Liverpool, Chelsea will still be at the top but with closer point range.

Next round will be:

Liverpool : Southampton
Manchester City : West Ham United
Chelsea : Manchester United

Next round is not also Chelsea vs Manchester City, it is vs Manchester United. Obviously Chelsea might win this match but no one knows yet. Also EPL is tougher than this, we can be expecting Liverpool to win and it can be the other way.

From Ole to Carrick, forgive me for spitting my drink out with laughter. We have to enjoy this whilst we can because unfortunately Man Utd are too big a club to continue being this much of a joke. When they finally get a top manager in they will start to do much better.

anyone else besides Carrick? oh god please don't let them do jokes all the time. laugh out loud

Isn't this a temporary trainer if I'm not mistaken based on the information I read in some impromptu articles? For a while, so the chances of the coach they planned could be much better. During Carrick time at Manchester United, I hope he can contribute the winning points to face Chelsea next week, even though it's quite tough.

Will Zidane accept the offer to become Manchester United coach? Isn't he officially going to stay at PRNCAIS and escort the club there to prepare for the World Cup? Moreover, his wife does not want to live in England and Zidane has had to ask his beloved wife for approval several times. So I'm not sure I expect Zidane to go to Manchester United. There will be other alternatives that the Manchester United manager must prepare to match his players with the right coach of choice.

Has anyone heard of a potential replacement for Ole? (not carrick or zidane)
Other names floating around right now are Brendan Rodgers and Mauricio Pochettino.
Some articles are also throwing Darren Fletcher into the mix.

Carrick will have a tough time ahead of him. I'm pretty sure he wants to stay as manager as long as possible but he won't have the best start with matches against Villareal in the UCL and against Chelsea in the PL.

Prior to joining Tottenham, Antonio Conte had expressed an interest in coaching Man United but Man United preferred to give Ole an extra time. Zidane and Conte are the two coaches who have been rumored to be Ole's successor, but Man United has missed an opportunity by letting Conte join Tottenham.

Currently, Man United is reportedly also approaching Erik ten Hag (Ajax Coach) but it seems that Erik ten Hag still wants to stay with Ajax.

Conte would have been perfect, seems the Manchester United glazers are dull in decision making.
Turning Tottenham around gradually, won first game as a Tottenham coach.

Glad to finally see Ole fired this should be done faster but it's okey atleast Man United realized that this had to be done. Michael Carrick as interim manager must have a tough job, mid-week play against Villareal in UCL and Sunday against Chelsea, this week has been really tough for Man United, the stamina and mentality of the players very drained but they have to get up.

By the way, what was Rhodri's goal? This could be the goal of the month.

Agree, he has created the rocket goal!!

In begin of the match very difficult for City to break Everton's defense because have a solid defense, Instead of creating the goal, City many times got a counter-attack by Everton, at least in minutes 44 Sterling did the opening goal tonight. that is enough spirit t create more goals in 2nd half. With this result, the city has to take in 2nd position was beat Liverpool before. while Everton drops to 11th.

Right now most of Manchester United fans feeling very good about this decision even its late but now mostly hoping for some better and quality replacement predictions are coming about Zidan from France, but it's not easy because he already mentions he loves to coach France national team but after having some good increase finances he could be joined here even for some time, but this can give some good change here in this great club which was under some mystery for last few months.
Currently, they need some very good and aggressive person who give some good and positive change for better results in next phase of this season.
Apparently, the long-cherished dream of Manchester United fans can finally come true and the team will soon receive a head coach from France Wink However, not exactly what everyone expected and instead of Zinedine Zidane will have to settle for former Manchester United player Laurent Blanc Grin Apparently, Laurent Blanc, who is currently working in Qatar, is now the main contender for a job at the club until the summer. And then he can be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino, who already seems to have expressed interest in working at Manchester United, but only starting in the summer. All this, oddly enough, completely coincides with my thoughts that I expressed earlier about the castling between Zidane and Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain and the arrival of Pochettino at Manchester United.
even if it's not Zidan, fans would be happy with just a different coach, they got sick of Ole, they are so desperate that they will take anything to just get rid of Ole, Laurent Blanc has experience coaching really big players, I bet he can make a difference for the better, players recognize how him and they respect him for his achievements as a player and a coach, we'll see what's going to happen.

Liverpool are very lucky to have Salah, maybe seeing his form like this, Chelsea and AS Roma have regrets for selling Salah. Since signing from Roma in 2017, Salah has managed to score more than 100 goals in all Liverpool matches. Chelsea don't have faith in Salah, they only gave 13 games to him. Unlike Liverpool, which always makes Salah as a starter when he is on fit. The trust given by Livepool for Salah make them get UCL and EPL trophies.
There is no regret whatsoever since transfer of players are inevitable we would just say Liverpool is quite lucky to have M. Sallah in a time as this and Sallah has been the scoring machine. Sallah could perform better in liverpool because he has a good team mate who understands his kind of game and plays along. If Sallah had remained in Chelsea nor Roma who knows he wouldn't have done better

Mohamed Salah's contribution was extraordinary for Liverpool, he became a goal machine for Liverpool. I also agree with you, Chelsea and Roma where
they have sold Salah must be regret, Mohamed Salah was not given much playing time at Chelsea. Even Chelsea had loaned Salah to Fiorentina and after
that sold him to Roma. Now with Liverpool Salah has shown the world that he is one of the greatest strikers.

You know there is a possibility that Salah may not have achieved prime performance like we are seeing now if he had kept play for Chelsea or Roma. There is something about a player being comfortable at a club and loved/respected by all both fans and teammates, it is natural to bring out the best performance in you, and i believe it is what we are seeing with Salah.

Hopefully Liverpool can extend Salah's
contract soon, because it will be very detrimental to Liverpool if they lose Salah.
If they don't, it's Liverpool's loss then because if they don't take him seriously, I am certain that there are other top teams that will swing in to give him a contract at their club for him to play for them.

thank you for your information, I really hope that whoever will be the next coach of MU must be able to return the face of MU to the fans.

Most articles I have seen lately are pointing either to zidane or Carrick not seen any other  potential replacement for outside this two. Which ever the replacement might be all Manchester needs at the moment is a coach who can manage the excellent team at old Trafford its becoming embarrassing the way Manchester united keep conceding goals
this is homework for the next coach of MU, some football analysts see that the main problem of MU currently lies in the defender, this is what makes them often conceded.
