they are now 6 wins away from being crowned champions, are they gonna win 6 in a row ? or flop their lines ?
Their next matches against:
1. Fulham
2. Leicester City
3. Leeds United
4. Aston Villa
5. Chelsea
6. Brighton
7. Everton

There are still 2 big matches against Leicester City and Chelsea. It is too early to say if Man City will win all remaining matches. While other weaker teams, I am pretty sure that Man City will win all the matches. However, although Man City only wins 5 remaining matches, I think it is enough to make Man City be the winner of the Premier League title this season. Not really necessary to win 6 matches in a row.

5 wins wont be enough if the other matches are loses. City still has 9 matches remaining while United and Leicester still has 10 matches remaining. Mathematically speaking, if City wins 5 only out of 9 while the other 4 are loses then their final points will be 68+15 = 83. On the other side, if United wins all the remaining matches then their final points will be 54+30= 84. Indeed it is almost impossible to happen but it is just about winning calculation by simple math. To make it simple, City needs 17 more points so even if United win all their remaining matches then City is still the Champion as they have +1 final points if they gets additional 17 points while United get 30 additional points.

But in my opinion, the 17 points needed by City to be the winner are not that difficult if you see the team's performance which is quite stable so far. United also may not win all the remaining matches, so City has a great opportunity. Extra hard work for United to overtake City, and they must continue to create their strategies in order to be winners. Because one strategy is wrong, they must be satisfied enough to be runner-up.

City scored 5 times and won the match like we all foresaw, it is true that they conceded too much to Southampton but that is fine. The aim was to get the three points and keep the distance from Manchester United.
Guardiola can now focus on Champions League

The reason that they conceded 2 goals could be Southampton's victory against Sheffield and boosting their morale. But still it was a huge win for City. Anyway, City are very confident about the EPL championship and I believe they already started focusing more on the CL. Winning the CL is also their aim, I suppose.

This is the season as both Real Madrid and Barcelona are out of the Champions and they have higher chances now to do well.

There are still some tough teams left. Round of 16 are still undergoing but all of those teams qualified are tough teams. City has the tradition of choking at the quarters or semis in CL. Last season it was Lyon and Lyon wasn't even a difficult team but yet they lost to them. Guardiola this needs to ensure that everyone goes according to his plan. They are already 2-0 ahead of Gladbach but they need to ensure that they don't let the advantage loose in second leg.

They are already focused there. They have already secured the qualification for the next round and are already Champions of the Premier League. They will try really hard in the Champions as they have tried many times to do something good but so far they could not. This is the season as both Real Madrid and Barcelona are out of the Champions and they have higher chances now to do well.

I thought Manchester City would cleanly win the match but they conceded two goals and one goal almost but ruled out for offside. Saints did very well yesterday considering the injuries they were having and the team they were facing yesterday. Few teams have scored more than 1 goals against City this season and Saints are the one now. Everyone knew that they would drop points and so they did. With that win City inch closer to title and Saints drop to 14th.

Southampton did whatever they can and did a good job by scoring 2 goals. But they had really nothing to do against this City and they still were destroyed with a 5-2 score. It shows that City weren't affected by the loss in the previous game at all. It was hard to pick the man of the match as De Bruyne, Mahrez and Foden all had great performances.

I agree that Manchester City only need 5 wins from the rest of the game to ensure they win the Premier League this season. But it won't be easy
for Manchester City to get these 5 wins. because some weak teams in the Premier League sometime give surprises by beating strong teams.
So Manchester City players should never underestimate whoever their opponents are, and must focus on winning every game that remains.
I believe Manchester City can win the Premier League this season.

City 4-1 southampton1 56th minutes

City is really instopable this year...i was really expecting that the lose againts united will not have big effect on the team performans and...already 4 goals and i believe they can have at least one more goal

The game ended 5 - 2 and Manchester City has bounced back magnificently from their home loss to Manchester United; they are now 6 wins away from being crowned champions, are they gonna win 6 in a row ? or flop their lines ? Can Manchester United mount enough pressure ? We will find out!

Manchester City simply destroyed Southampton in the first half already 3-1 and won the match by scoring 5 goals which was awesome. De Bruyne (2) and Mahrez (2) were especially very good and Foden provided 2 assists. Gundogan also scored a goal and made his number of goals 12 in the PL.

*I still hope Chelsea can win the EPL this season 'lol'...
on paper, the points collected by Man City are quite a lot when compared to other teams and if they win 70%  from the next match then it is confirmed that Man City will be the champion. for Liverpool, well I'm sorry about their setback this season.
It is not just about Chelsea, closest one is United, which even beat City, but it is still obvious that nobody will catch them, league is basically over, United is doing awesome for the past 2 years, I think they are going to be challenging for a title very soon, last year it wasn't that close with top two but they were great at three (barely got there on last game I think) and this year they are second and doing fine, and next year I think they will either challenge for it or be close to it at least.

Everyone was talking bad about Ole at the start of the season, they should be ashamed of that right now because Ole basically managed to get the team all together and they have been awesome, look at Liverpool they are destroyed because of this covid season, it is very good job to bring the team to that level. However in the end City is the champions, there is not a single cell in my body that doesn't agree with that.

Too much fuss for a game that Manchester City will win by 2 or 3 goals; the game lost with United is already behind their minds and tonight, sorry Southampton supporters, but there's nothing else than a win for the Mancunians. Looking at the odds only a fixed game could result in a draw or a loss for them.

There is no way out for Southampton in this match and they will probably be destroyed by the best team in the league now.  Grin  Thanks to the Sheffield win, Southampton may try to fight back but City will have the control of the match and get a nice win.
City and Southampton match started right now and I expect City to win. Dunno if you remember Southampton position few months ago Roll Eyes

Every team loses games, this team with Pep as coach will brush off the disappointment of losing to Man Utd. They’ll respond & win comfortably tonight. Nothing to worry about for Man City fans, they will be champions this season.
Think so too, I placed a bet for MCFC winning. The game is about to start and I am finding a way to watch it.

On a side note, Guardiola expressed his enthusiasm about winning the game basically saying that since United won 9-0 this season they should win 18-0 and double the result! Of course, this is just some funny comment by Pep but it clearly shows how confident City is before this match.

Manchester City - Southampton for the 33rd EPL round tomorrow is worth watching after the citizens lost the derby. After 21 wins in a row, among every competition they are involved in, the found a stop in their hometown. Southampton, instead, won 2-0 at Sheffield but it does not look like that can pose a major problem for Guardiola's guys.
I guess City can win by at least one goal and keep marching in their EPL journey.

Southampton are seven points away from the relegation zone and there are ten matches left (which is 11 for them) to the end. They finally won a match last week and took a deep breath. They will try to continue a good form to be at a safer position. But here imo, they really have no chance against City. The main goal of City will be making up for the loss vs Man Utd. I think that City will be victorious with at least 2-goal difference.

I think you are right.Southampton stands no chance of causing an upset tonight.Manchester City I think will win with a huge goal difference tonight,5-0 should be a good score for tonight game. Also there is no real value betting on money line for this match, the value is in over goals at over 3.5 goals there is a really good odd to profit from.

Man Utd now have a football director, wtf??  Shocked  https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-statement-on-appointment-of-football-director-and-technical-director

perhaps this means no more signings of one season wonders like van de Beek or average players like Daniel James or overpriced ones like Maguire...Haaland, Sancho, Skriniar, Maddison, Alaba, time for Man Utd to start making some proper transfers

Too much fuss for a game that Manchester City will win by 2 or 3 goals

I am also sure that this time the winner will be Man City, although yesterday losing to Man United was not an important issue.  Man United's score is still far from Man City, so there is a clear chance of victory.  Unfortunately Liverpool didn't even make the top 4. I cant see them in the next season for Champion League. And this season, we can see a great performance from Man City and Pep is success for bringing them to be the winner.
