Sheffield United have performed very well last season and they have managed to finish the season as one of the top 10 teams on the table, but I think there is already no more hope left for Sheffield United to fight for survival in the relegation battle this season, their offense is very terrible this season, and I think they will lose to Burnley today.
What if Sheffield United goes for its first win this season? I would not call this game any different than a Home or Away bet: I am taking my chances and betting on SU being the winner here. It is about stopping their losing streak and catch their first Premier League victory.

I was really excited about Everton-Manchester City match. But unfortunately, it was postponed due to a high increase in coronavirus cases at Manchester City. I hope the players get well in a short time and we can enjoy watching this match.

This can potentially be a big problem for City. They already were 1 game behind most teams, after this round they will have 2 games that they will have to put into an already congested fixtures list. They are still in all competitions, even the Carling cup, I really do not know when will they play their postponed games - especially if they have to reschedule a few more because of the festive period. Their next game is Chelsea on Sunday, I wonder what happens with that one.

If I'm tracking it correctly, City has 9 positive cases in their team. No way they will be allowed to play as a team in the next 10 days or so.

Also, what happens with the league if situations like these start to occur in more clubs?
on the contrary.
In mypoint of view, the English Football Association made a mistake to postpone the City matches, and the team was supposed to play with what they got of players, or to postpone all the overlapping club matches with it Justice, equal opportunity and controversy ...

The Football Association decided to postpone the City and Everton match, due to the presence of 5 new injuries that were not announced in Manchester's ranks.
and the protocol in England says that the match is only canceled if the team’s list is not completed. Here there is no such case because the team’s number of injuries does not exceed 10, and therefore the match was postponed.
So some teams will benefit from this like also
Manchester United for example if his match with City was postponed because he would go to meet Tottenham in a comfortable 5 days, while the Spurs would enter the match in a rest for only two days !!

Predictions -

Brighton vs Arsenal - Tough one but I think away win
Burnley vs Sheff U - Is there a more dull match up? - Draw
S’ton vs West Ham - Home win
WBA vs Leeds - Away win
Man Utd vs Wolves - Home win

I agree with 3 of your predictions, for the rest 2 I have my doubts. I see a draw in Brighton - Arsenal and a possible draw in Man Utd against Wolves. Mostly because bookers give Man Utd as a sure favorite but Wolves is not a team that you can underestimate...

Copy paste 1-1 draw for all Roll Eyes
Dunno but this week is weird and results are bizarre so why not a draw? Otherwise I think Arsenal, Burnley, Southampton, Leeds and ManU to win. Pretty reluctant about the games, I will just see how it will ends.

Premier League matches today

~

What are your predictions tonight ? Will manchester united reclaim the second position? can arsenal move out of the bottom 5 ?

I honestly almost forgot we were having matches today  Smiley I guess that's what work does to you.

BTTS in these matches is probably a good idea as per @LFC_Bitcoin, and I'd also go for Over 1.5 goals for games in this week. They'd make good opportunities for parlays. Wolves should comfortably be Under 1.5 goals against Manchester United. Arsenal should get another comfortable win over Brighton but I'm not trusting my money on that.

I don't like your Southampton vs West Ham prediction though. If they had trouble getting a single goal to count against Fulham, I can't really expect them to win against West Ham in case they do 2 goals. Even a draw sounds a little unrealistic. Any Team to Win sounds like a good market to bet in.

EDIT: This is what I'm taking today: https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/b799248e-0302-461f-98ca-4f9a3633b7c3

Championship battle will be exciting this year. in any case more exciting than in previous years.

since last year was no exciting at all, this year will be more interesting certainly Smiley and that is good for most, expect for LFC fans, but they have good chances to celebrate back-to-back title this year

Tottenham is one of main favorites from my point of view, but they are not playing well in last few rounds, seems that Mo has some issues with his players (would not call that they boycott him, but something is surely happening, and they are not motivated to the max)

this season is one of most interesting for me, since Everton is actually having real chances to join CL train at the end of the season, and I will closely watch it

Hope none of those Covid cases hit my squad. Spurs cannot survive when Kane and Son are down,,, I cannot imagine if even our fringe players like Moura get it, how we can even hold the game together. Some squads probably are even thinner this type of quarantine would absolutely destroy them.

Its in times like this that we realize how hectic and stressed the life of an athlete can be. Having games lined up and playing continuously since last Friday 25th down to this day and the games are still pied up to 30th. Its certainly not an easy life, going for training, meeting up with family and friends while trying to have time for yourself as well in such a limited time isn't such an easy task. It might feel like they are trained and paid for this or are career people but, its really not so easy going as well. EPL are doing its best to keep us entertained and so, i applaud them for that.

The Premier League is well knowed for such show. They even play on January 1st when everybody else is lazy relaxing from the big dinner of the New Year. This situation with a lot of games in very few days apart from each game is used to indicate a bit better who is the team with the best results during this time which also shows that this team should be the strongest contender for the title.

That may be true that City has 9 positive cases. The luck for them is that they can also play nicely with their B team. By the way, it depends on which 9 players of the selection they miss.
It would be difficult against Liverpool. They should still be able to win against a mid-engine without any problems. Championship battle will be exciting this year. in any case more exciting than in previous years.

Chelsea and Leicester City still have a chance to compete for the title.

I cant help but feel it is dwindling for Chelsea.

When should I cash in my 14/1 £5  Chelsea bet?

Ironically they will only pay good if they are winning. Then I wont want to cash it.

is this the effect of playing games during the Christmas and end of the year?
NO, they are professional players, they should already play with their best. And they also need 3 points to keep their positions on the table. I assume this may be the effect of the inconsistent in playing. Or they are just unlucky today. Don't be so surprised, there are many matches remaining. Chelsea and Leicester City still have a chance to compete for the title.

Leicester couldn't win vs Crystal Palace, a team that received 10 goals in its previous two games.
Leicester city could have won the match but the penalty missed by the Nigeria superstar Iheanacho K. at 19' minute gave them a slight drop down. This just made me think that Vardy might be in an injury from the last match(not sure), because he is the only penalty kicker in Lei.
Looking into the results of the last 5 games played in EPL, it is all draw with the score in the last 4 is the same 1-1
Its a week for the pool bettors, Lol

Leicester couldn't win vs Crystal Palace, a team that received 10 goals in its previous two games. I followed a little Chelsea and saw Giroud's goal, I expected them to score another or at least keep their goal clean but they failed so far, again.. Many bad results lately won't make them a serious contender for the title..

Aston villa keep doing some good matches...after the win againts west broom and crystal palace (3-0 both matches) today they take a
precious point againts chelsea...now aston villa are unbeaten in 5 match in row
Perfect year ending for this team

Aston villa has done really well this season. From giving inflicting Liverpool with their biggest defeat till date to recent wins to maintain their form, it's been an impressive run thus far. Coming from a team that was almost relegated last season, it's such a good improvement. As for Chelsea, their performance woes is becoming more and more evident. They couldn't get more goals to increase their lead and also couldn't take back the lead. Looking at the difference in quality between the sides, it's such a shame.

Between yesterday and today, There's been 5 draws out of the 6th PL fixtures. Damn.

don't worry. Unfortunately, that's how it has gone for many teams. Several matches could not be played because of the pandemic, also many players from various teams could not play because they were positive. We just have to arm ourselves with a lot of patience for now.
