I honestly feel so comfortable playing against Arsenal these days. I remember when I first started supporting LFC, going to Highbury to face Henry and Bergkamp was the worst weekend of the year. You know you will get hammered whatever you do.

Now the roles have turned, it is completely the opposite. They try to play through our pressing game and it is simply not possible with their midfield, they finish in their own corners after 2-3 passes.
It is true that Lacazette could have made that game more complicated yesterday, but it's also a fact that Liverpool will dominate over this Arsenal in 20 out of 20 games.

Huge burden on Arsenal players today as they need to play against Liverpool, Liverpool just seems to be demolishing any teams they play against in the English Premier League, if Arsenal could not stop Liverpool from claiming 3 points today, I guess all other favorite teams to compete with Liverpool for the English Premier League champions title this season would be in a bad position as those teams are already starting to lose crucial points against weaker teams.

Arsenal are relying too much on Lacazette and Aubameyeng and they could actually have drawn the game last night if they converted their breakaways but Alisson is too good on the 1 on 1. Liverpool are weak in defence actually now I see especially because they never have a consistent back 2. Still the most scary team in Premier League for sure.

Arsenal reap bad results after being defeated by Liverpool with a landslide score of 3-1. The reality that the current arsenal fans accept is not seeing the strength of their team only able to compete with lower-level teams, when facing big teams starting to get overwhelmed and bad results faced on their visit anfield. Arsenal do not have a winning mentality to compete on the standings because they are only able to get positive results against mediocre teams, Arsenal are not able to give positive results against big four team.

EDIT: Arsenal won a goal  Cool
EDIT 2: Spoke too soon, 2 - 1 now
You will never know until the end of the game tho. Many goals this weekend were scored at the last minutes + penalty kicks so unless LFC scores goals, things will get warmer each second  Wink

Edit: LFC scored 3-1, extra time, congrats LFC gans Smiley
Liverpool show high class play as well as arsenal (I was surprised arsenal scored a goal in the 25th minute)..  at least I can sleep soundly because of Liverpool & villa victory today.. Cheesy

Congratulations to us 🎉. Another win in the bag for the team and not forgetting our solid performance against Arsenal. Great goals by Robo and our new signee, Jota.  Mane's goal was cool too. I can't forget Allison's crucial save in the second half to deny lacazette.  I'm not really surprised that we won both Chelsea and Arsenal despite our tight schedule. Today's win moves us to 2nd spot on the table, behind Leicester city.

Perfect revenge for community shield upset we got from Arsenal  Smiley

Prediction: Liverpool win & over 1.5 goals.

Happy I won my bet too.

EDIT: Arsenal won a goal  Cool

liverpool is a team that is at a very high level, without wanting to devalue the arsenal that lost two good opportunities to have left that game with 3 goals, but that is the big difference between liverpool and the other teams. liverpool has players that when it comes to scoring a goal they know how to take advantage of the opportunity (of course they can sometimes make mistakes). That was the first game that Arsenal faced a great team and in my opinion they did well, that arsenal is better than manchester united, chelsea, City, wolves. if keep playing like that can get a good position

Arsenal achieved positive results in the first three matches and they haven't tasted defeat since the primier league opened, of course this will have a positive impact on Arsenal players during their visit to Anfield against Liverpool. Host Liverpool is also in a positive trend after they managed to get full points in the first two opponents, Arsenal will certainly provide an exciting fight considering this big four match is very decisive for Arsenal's steps to remain at the top of the standings.

I feel inclined to bet an Arsenal win with over 1.5 goals. We all had high expectations for Chelsea and a lot of us betted on Chelsea over West Brom and they screwed us over with a draw, so history could repeat itself and the favorite team might end up not winning.

Arsenal is ahead of Liverpool in the standings by just one GD, and Chelsea weren't playing their best in their match against LFC so LFC's winning prowess looks a little inflated to me. Whereas Arsenal stormed Fulham and West Ham and every non-EPL club they played against in the 2020/2021 season so far.

Odds are 5.10 for over 1.5 goals and 6.80 for Arsenal win so if this works out then I win good. Smiley

I just hope we aren't over hyping and putting a lot of trust on Liverpool not to continue in the line of big teams this weekend, finishing at a draw or been beaten 3 goals down.
I'm expecting another surprising match from Arsenal, I hope they don't disappoint me though, Arsenal in its self is a big tean too.

I didn't watch my team play throughout the weekend so it's definitely a match that I've been looking forward to. Like you, my money is on Liverpool to take all 3 points. Arsenal has beaten us on our last 2 meetings with them ~ In the Premier league and won by penalties in the Community shield final.

My only concern is that we won't be able to employ the services of Thiago in the game due to a minor fitness issue but it shouldn't cause much of an issue as Fabinho would now be deployed in midfield (Gomez is back in starting line-up).

Prediction: Liverpool win & over 1.5 goals.

Well after a couple of quirky and unexpected results.

Where do we all stand? who are the standout performers?

I'm a bit late to the party as I didn't have much time to write, but this weekend had so man good matches in all leagues. Happy that WBA managed to get the point against Chelsea even though they deserved 3 and were a bit robbed by VAR.

Man Utd was criminal and Ole needs to go as fast as possible. Biggest joy was watching the foxes demolish Man City. They are looking really solid so far and I would put them as a standout so far for this season. I think they have potential, not for the title though, but you never know. Nobody believed in them when they won the title either Cheesy

As far as tonight s match, I have a feeling that Liverpool will score 3+ goals and take the easy win over the Gunners, since I don't support either of the teams I just want a lot of goals and an exciting match.

A profitable weekend again  Cool
Nice! i had a good weekend too but mainly cuz i avoided the EPL, otherwise, i coulda lost some mbtc cuz i would've backed the favs to win (chelsea, wolves, city)  Tongue

but i'm gonna put some coins on both matches tonight: i have Aston Villa handicap at 2,09 odds...the Cottagers are out of form, and Villa were pretty good in their last 3 games (1 in the league, 2 in the league cup). For the big game, i'm taking Sportsbet promo with boosted odds (BTTS & O2.5 goals)

Everton have had a fantastic start of the season showing some exciting football (the Jamez Rodriguez factor?)...if they can keep up this good form until mid October, then we could have a cracking Merseyside derby

A beautiful premier league weekend, with everyone exposing their bias comments and review. Manchester City was massacred today by the Leicester team and then everyone suddenly blames the backline. Why not appreciate the winning team?

If Manchester united loses or lampard, the narrative is that they are poor coaches, and pogba is a bad player, but when city loses, suddenly pep is not at fault and everyone neglects Debruyne disasterclass performances.

A beautiful premier league season, but var is causing confusion with several irregular decisions.
Should we expect a liverpool massive performance tomorrow?  or an arsenal victory?

I don't think it's biased but City were the odds on favorite to win and when they do lose it's usually due to errors made and people are just pointing that out, but that's not to take anything away from Leicester but Manchester City did give away two silly penalties. Leicester's non-penalty goals were world class though so I'll give them that. I can't wait to watch City vs Leeds next weekend. Who knows what will happen in that game. If City play with the same team I think there could be some a lot of goals from both sides as Leeds have been scoring a lot but also conceding. If City have their full team out they should probably beat the quite easy but Liverpool didn't manage that so who knows.

Liverpool Vs Arsenal is a big clash of the week, with Both Manchester teams dropping points and Chelsea suffering a loss and Spur getting just a point, Arsenal have a chance to rival Liverpool for a position at the top of the standings.

I am rooting for Arsenal win or draw, with Alisson out, Auba can get a goal, and Arsenal can rival liverpool midfield without Thiago
Over 2.5 goals is expected.

Since I didn't have time to bet for the cup matches during the week, I'm looking forward to the third matchday in the Premier League.

Brighton vs Manchester United # win of ManU @ 1.72

WestBrom vs Chelsea # win of Chelsea @ 1.45

ManCity vs Leichester # double Chance Leichester @ 3.53
Usually I would go for a win of ManCity. But ManCity announced today that Jesus is injured and now the team does not have a real good striker for the upcoming match. Therefore I give Leichester a chance to achieve at least a draw. The odds are good as well.

A profitable weekend again  Cool

Although only two out of three bets were correct, I still more than doubled my stake. Funnily enough, the bet I was most confident of (win of Chelsea against WestBrom) was lost. ManU won as expected, even with a lot of luck. I was best with my guess that Leichester could achieve a draw or win against ManCity. I did not expect them to win 2:5 in the end. This confirms my impression that I wrote here a few weeks ago that I don't think ManCity will win the championship this year. The team is worse than last year and Pep can't give the team much more. He will definitely leave ManCity at the end of the season.

He def could but I got a weird feeling he won't until he wins the CL with City.  Dunno.

Anyway, I fear for them vs Leeds.  Bielsa's pretty clever and he does play his squads to use a counter pressing style which Pep's squads seem to play weak against.
