Well, at this very point, I think Liverpool have a very good advantage for themselves, not one that came to them on a platter of gold, but one they have worked really hard for, a distance of 8 points from Nottingham forest is something for sure, it's a good achievement so far and proves their commitment to stay at the top and potential winning the Premier league title this season.
Nottingham Forest have an unbelievale half of season but they are not main concern of Liverpool. I am sure that Liverpool have their eyes on three competitors behind Nottingham Forest: Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. Nottingham Forest can fight for a position in top four and it means they will beat one big club that is either one of three clubs aforementioned.
Assuming they do not lose or draw any games from now on, there is no way they are not going to win the title this season, and this is why I said that their 8 points gap with Nottingham is sure something how ever we look at it.
At this point, I wish them the best of luck, I am not a fan of Liverpool but I must say that they impress me with the way they held their position for such a long time and not losing it to another, if eventually they win the title this season, it's well deserved.
Liverpool will try to fight and control their results in next matches and ending in this season. Waiting for luck is not their plan and free falls of Manchester City in Premier League and Barcelona in La Liga are big warnings for Liverpool. They must play next matches very carefully to maintain their advantage and avoid similar collapses of Manchester City and Barcelona.
