Van gaal can't rule out Wayne Rooney because he is the captain of the team, I think Rooney will be in sliding to play as a midfielder.
There are some other better midfielder then rooney and I as manchester united fans do think that rooney needs to get back to his form before deciding wether he or rashford will be the main striker for united. They could as well use two striker to give better support for rashford in the frontline

sorry lost for that mate but they both have a chance no wonder why no score has been made maybe betterluck next time and also congrats to manchester to move to semi's hope they continue doing it and made to the finals.
You should probably start hoping for nothing if it is manchester united as they will mostly end up losing in the final games even if they could keep on winning everything. They have dissapoint alot of their fans with their bad performance and they were lucky yesterday to win against westham as they missed alot of good chance to score
More importantly the main star of the game marcus rashford score another goal again and this prove that the team no longer needs rooney. In few more years to come, all of this young player could floorish more into star player and they will no longer needs to purcashe star player for the team in the future

He is 30 years old now but when he fit and healthy, i think he will still be Manchester United first choice for striker
No one hates rooney , I just hate that he is favourited by van gaal because even without him the team totally looks solid. He should drop down below in the midfield area if he wants to keep on playing instead of being striker. So far he is still great in accuracy however he is definitely not suitable to be a striker anymore
Well lets see, van gaal said when wayne rooney comes back hes expecting the team to be stronger. You could read that as putting pressure on rooney to either make the team better or be dropped. After the performance against spurs the he will fit right back in.
Van gaal needs rooney to be the captain for the team and not really as player. When he is on the field, his presence made the team pack together although so far I do think even without him everything is fine so probably van gaal needs to left him out as usual when he was still in injury.
