The problem is in 1992 when the English League gained lots more cash & exposure from Sky Sports Man United were very good at marketing themselves abroad & getting shit loads of cash by promoting Manchester United 'the brand'.

Liverpool got complacent & didn't take advantage of their huge name, Liverpool haven't won the PL since 1991 ironically the year before Sky Sports.

Liverpool are still at Anfield & the stadium is currently being extended the capacity will still only be 53,000 or something like that.

Old Trafford is like 80,000. Imagine how much more cash they make from ticket sales.

Then factor in Abramovich's & Sheikh Mansour's pimp money if you get what I mean it is very difficult for Liverpool to compete.

In 2010 Liverpool's previous owners nearly made them bankrupt, they were borrowing so much cash against the club using them like a credit card & RBS the bank said enough was enough. Liverpool were 2 or 3 days from going into administration.

FSG bought Liverpool off the bank in 2010 & have been developing Liverpool financially off the pitch. Financially they're in a much healthier position. Obviously you have Barca, Real, Man Utd etc but I think Liverpool are now registered the 8th or 9th richest club in the world.

With Klopp now things should begin to improve, let's wait 2-3 seasons & hopefully Klopp can repeat his success at Dortmund. He needs time though & patience.

Liverpool FC is the big team with lot of awesome history in the past they are very strong team in EPL also in europa but unfortunately they can't repeat history till now and i think history is very good to be remember

It was all part of their history and you know that liverpool fans is always proud of their history. Too bad that the team is having breakdown ever since they last won premier league and whats the worst is that the club legends steven gerrards never got any premier league title for all his football carrer

if we see from champion league trophy i do agree with you Liverpool is The most successful team from EPL because they can able 5 times be champion

I guess the final between Manchester City vs Liverpool, both have a good chance. yes Liverpool only need a draw and they will play at home with full support, as well as the Man city when playing at home they will get better and make a lot of goals.

Real Madrid are the most successful team in history I think. 10 European Cups.

AC Milan have 7.

Liverpool, Barca & Bayern Munich have 5.

Man Utd only have 3.

Man City, Arsenal have 0

Chelsea have 1.

You can't just forget the history, put some respect on it. Aston villa not deserve to relegated someone have to save them.
I know and realize the history will not bring nothing in Modern football which money make everything.
I doubt Liverpool is the team with greatest history in world football , AC Milan I think they are .

Maybe they will play in the Final  after really beat Everton at home at least they scored one goal without conceding or winning difference of 2 goals as well liverpool only need a draw then it will go to the final round.

They beat a crappy relegation threatened Swansea team 2-1 at home. Don't get too excited

Manchester united has made alot of improvements to their performance which you can see from their last match . It might seems that not alot notice that but with this 1 win and rooney scoring again in 2016 then their morale should be boosted and this might affect any of their future games. All they need to do is to keep this up

A better history counts for nothing in the modern game. Trust me I know, I'm a Liverpool fan. Our history is better than most teams in world football & it does nothing for us.

good pick but for match Newcastle United against Manchester United although Man UTD have very bad performance i think there is no harm to pick Man UTD win

Aston villa have history while manchester city have money. Money is what makes the club wins trophy nowadays, this is not the era of 90's anymore where there are alot of great player from the academy like astonvilla and manchester united but this is the era of money where you could get top player instantly with money

I totally agree that FA Cup winners should get a CL spot.

Yeah shame its in a pointless cup, they should do a europa league spot for capital cup winners and champions league for FA cup win.  That would really make the cups great to watch with so much at stake.
