Strange news for me I thought de gea would leave, was he not already looking at someone else and stalling his contract recently? But anyway good for him. He was the saviour of Manchester United for many many games and god knows where they would be if he was not protecting their goal. So sad to see a great team become like them but this is what happens when you rely on superstars and high wages.

Seems like De gea wants to retire from Manchester United.
I don't think that it would be easy for him to find another bigger club where he would be able to play on the first line up.
He made a wise choice which gives him the opportunity to still play competitively in a historic club.

That's probably bullshit news as usual.

Remember, most media spread low quality, clickbait, provocative news that might have no verifiable and trusted source at all. They love to spin and make their own interpretation of what managers & players said in front of them.

Never, ever, trust news that are not released by the club itself.

We'll be meeting the best team in Europe (Liverpool) and probably the best currently in the premier for our next game. It won't be a shame if we lose...
This is Chelsea's second real test in the EPL, so I think they really need to prove something in this game, the first was against united and it ended in a thrashing, losing your first two big games against the big six is not a nice start, you need to also be able to beat the big boys to show you're ready to compete in the league.

No doubt Chelsea have been doing well, at least far better than expected, not that they are way below the performances they've put up, but just because of the way people gave then zero chance before the league commenced.
If Chelsea can beat Liverpool, then they are real contenders for the title.

Lampard's Chelsea is a story too good to be true. But it can become of that kind because the potential that this team has is really interesting. Young English players like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham can build up to something great at Stamford. They love the club, they have been there for a dozen years. They feel the club in their hearts and they will fight for this club on the pitch, providing some of the continuity after Lampard's and Terry's departure a couple of years ago.

It this team capable of fighting for the trophy? No, at least not yet but the future seems really bright for those boys.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has signed a new contract to stay with the club until 2023. De Gea was bought from Atletico Madrid in an £18.9m deal in June 2011.

This is a positive for his boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester united at large because i can't imagine how much disaster would have happened at United if De Gea had decided to leave the club earlier. He has literally been their pillar at the back for a number of seasons now.

So far he seems very promising. He needs to play more matches and considering his performance I hope he will get his shots.

Chelsea lack of transfer activity is a blessing in disguise; it seems. Lots of young players got promoted by Lampard. They now feel like Ajax or Dortmund.

I remember signing this exact words on numerous occasions on this platform particularly this thread. Got attacked then questioned on so many occasions but that didn't stop my optimism. Some individual even thought Lampard would be sack soon or later and more believe (support to that thought) came after our lost to Manchester United, forgetting we outplayed them especially at the first half. So far Chelsea's first half have always be phenomenal. We're having problem at the back which needs to be resolved soon before we turn into Arsenal (defensively).

We'll be meeting the best team in Europe (Liverpool) and probably the best currently in the premier for our next game. It won't be a shame if we lose although I'm still positive, we can get something out of the matches especially if we can get a comfortable 2/3 goals lead then try to defend Liverpool attacks probably ending up with a draw or win. We did it in the super cup (drew with Liverpool) although this current form, the team are in will be difficult to end. But irrespective of the outcomes of the match, don't forget this words "Lampard is buidling something special at Chelsea".

Still, they need to improve their defense. Decrease conceding an own goal, improve stability with the back and long ball, and they're good to go.

I don't think that Chelsea is going to make big things this season.
It is a good sign that Lampard uses young players in the squad and maybe Chelsea can make money from that or born a new star. They need both ways whatever finally happens...

Arsenal can not take advantage of the situation. They should be able to get 3 points to compete with other teams. But unfortunately they are only able to draw, oh my god. A draw of 20th place (final) is truly unfortunate.

But one should see also that Watford are a really good team that do not deserve to be in the last place,,, they have a young side that have been very daring in attacking, the only problem for me is they simply lack finishing. See the past few matches missing open goals. But the way they took the first goal shows they still have desire and instinct so it is never too late season is still so long.

Arsenal did play well in the first games of the Premier League and we are still there in the beginning.I think that Watford had nothing to lose because they have started the Premier League with lost games so they attacked in the second half and got a precious point against Arsenal.

Arsenal 2nd half was horrible. Their midfield and back four were slow to react. Even with four players, Watford could move in the box so freely. Usually with one man on the ball and the other move inside or wait on top of the box. There's no pressure coming from the midfield, and there's a lot of times where the defenders who should be in charge did not move to press Watford.

I'm confused why does the Arsenal's LB have to move so centrally when there's a CB on their box. It seems like their defending and awareness decreased dramatically in the second half. Sixteen shots inside the box, the rest are near the table. If they play like this when they see City or Liverpool, they'll get crushed.

Watched the game and it was absolutely horrible especially the second half. There was no one to even feed their main man Aubameyang with balls.
The defense is an absolute joke of a team trying to get back to Champions League football

"That's because Arsenal have now conceded an eye-watering 96 shots in just five Premier League games this season, more than any team in Europe's top five leagues.

Yes, that's right, no team in the Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga, Serie A or Bundesliga has allowed their goal to be peppered with more efforts at goal than Arsenal.

And it became so laughable during the second-half in particular that 2% of all the shots in the Premier League this season came from Watford during the closing 45 minutes."

Chelsea did not do the transfer activity because they stumbled into trouble. So it's true as you say that this is indeed a hidden blessing that was obtained by Chelsea.

The thing that must be done by Lampard is to play young players who have the potential for their first team. And it's proven that Chelsea doesn't waste a lot of money right now.

LOL and they went for it with small stakes.
Well it happens. Most of us do not take chance with high stakes. Chances of losing was too high however whatever they won is big considering the stake.

Man! anyone can only dream for it LOL

Yeah, that Abraham kid, new gem in english football? Same goes for Mason Mount. Props to Lampard for giving them a chance in the 1st team.

@buwaytress
just saw your other topic, looks like you're also expecting a big upset today, huh? The Hornets, a team sitting at the bottom of the league table, to win against Arsenal? Hmm, Quique Sanchez Flores does have a good record vs Emery (both met each other in La Liga a few times). Out of 7 games, Emery only won 1 game against Quique. Although, recent H2H record between both teams is favoring Arsenal. Either way, good luck!

No, I did not expect that many goals for Chelsea. I did not watch the match but 5 - 2 and three of them are in first half with a hat-trick from Abraham.

I put $5 on these kinds of bets, but our very own DarkStar put about $17 for really nice $410 winnings (https://i.imgur.com/YgJ6GX4.png). That's big in my books!

Ok, so Norwhich won and City are shit  Tongue now can we talk about Chelsea? Did anyone expect Chelsea to score 5 against an in-form Wolves? One of the biggest surprises this weekend for me. This win is going to give them a big boost in confidence ahead of the Champions League debut against Valencia next week. Ok, Lampard, I see you...
No, I did not expect that many goals for Chelsea. I did not watch the match but 5 - 2 and three of them are in first half with a hat-trick from Abraham. If Chelsea can continue this aggression then they can easily place them with top 5.

Yesterday we had another 5 - 2 result. It was in La Liga. Finally Barcelona is coming back with their usual dominance.

I put $5 on these kinds of bets, but our very own DarkStar put about $17 for really nice $410 winnings (https://i.ibb.co/ccZZkHy/52460110.png). That's big in my books!

I bet yeah, Liverpool fans are currently the most happiest fans in earth.
I am in the moon! 5 win out of 5 match. 15 points for Liverpool and their only one competitor (so far) is losing a match by 3 - 1. Only 3 to 5 minutes left officially to seal the lose. LOL
If Liverpool and City play then betting over 2.5 goals is an easy win. because those 2 teams will almost certainly score more than 2 goals, those 2 teams will onfire every match and will fight fiercely this season. This win proves that gossip about Mane and salah fighting is just a small thing, and Klopp has handled it well, they both get back together and playing good.

Liverpool are looking good right now sitting at the top of the table 5 points clear of Man City after City dropped points to Norwich which was a massive upset so far this season considering Norwich is the newly promoted team this season. Congrats to the guys that did put a bet on Norwich as you made a killing. I lost my parley bet as I had over 2.5 goals in the Man Utd game.
I wonder if there is any gamblers who place a huge bet amount on Norwich to beat Manchester City in full time, the odds payout on Norwich to win the match in full time is extremely high and I think whoever placed a huge bet amount on Norwich could really start to plan on how to spend his huge windfall overnight.

The same thing happened early last season, Manchester was losing points and seemed to be unable to reach Liverpool.
We all know how that story ended.
Manchester have got some new players and it takes some time to get to know each other and start playing as a team.
As the championship comes to an end they will play better and I think they are still the favorites for the title.
