It is much more complicated when we take a look at the games left for each team :
Chelsea vs (Norwich), Liverpool, Wolves = let's drop some points maybe?
Leicester vs Sheffield, Tottenham, Man United = crap! we will never make it...
Man United vs Crystal Palace, West Ham, Leicester = Cool
ManU games are way easier, 6 points should be guaranteed before facing Leicester which may or may not be crucial since the actual Leicester team will have hard times with its rivals.
Now Chelsea playing vs Liverpool and Wolves aren't mission impossible but a draw or a defeat in 1 of those games can make them lose that third spot.
It is really tight over there, ManU is lucky, Leicester is crappy and Chelsea is unhappy. In the other hand, Wolves +/- Sheffield are watching the fight and trying to sneak and get part of the cake.
Ahhh typical Manchester United fan .. 😁

Let's see in the next two weeks , the last match of the season played all at once on 26th july where Manchester United will play against Leicester City and it could be the most interesting match to seal the last ticket to the champions league.

If only chelsea win over Norwich tonight, noted.
Which I'm afraid Norwich often makes Chelsea struggle.

Chelsea has given two lifeline while they dropped 3 points .. Leicester also dropped 3 points and united get draw.

I also can't wait for the big match between Manchester United vs Leicester City, which is the determination of the last ticket to
the champions league.Even though I'm not a Manchester United fan but I'm sure Leicester City can be beaten. Unfortunately
Manchester United's victory must have failed when Michael Obafemi scored in the last minute. Then my prediction for Chelsea
will win 1-0 against Norwich to be able to secure 3rd place.

This week I've been rooting for teams who had good chance to take the position. First Chelsea dropped points and I was after Leicester to take the 3rd spot ...they lost. Now Man Utd. had chance they played draw. Guess nobody loves to move to 3rd spot.

It's probably going to come down to the ladt match against Man United and Leicester to see who is going to get that last UCL spot.

Unless they make a difference in points in next two rounds It should get down to the last game between the both. That would be exciting to see if it happens.

What a disappointing night. After Chelsea and Leicester city both lost and dropped points, everyone was expecting Manchester United to utilize the opportunity to go to the 3rd position. If they had just held on longer or increased their lead. Earlier today, Man city got their ban lifted (with fine). This means there's no automatic ticket for anyone at the 5th position anymore. The lost means Man Utd has more work to do now. They have to win their last 3 games  to stand a chance.

Not a United fan but I expected more from the team and they just couldn't deliver on a big night. If Chelsea and Leicester had won their matches, I'm sure Man United would have  won today's game too.  They felt it will be an "easy" 3 points.

You are very right, but i think the manchester united fought to the end, they played under so much pressure; where dominant and got good goals, but the team got tired and knackered and could not press further up the pitch; Southampton played with nothing to lose; and Utd under so many pressure laxed off at the very end, by not clearing their lines. Its a tight end to the top 4 race.

Guess nobody loves to move to 3rd spot.

Not when Chelsea are currently occupying that position as it's ourselves until the season ends. Lampard needs that third positive to boost his ego that he did better than Sarri in regards to premier league ranking. Sure Sarri did win a trophy too but all hopes aren't lost as we still have the FA cup to fight for and by his Grace champions league (yes, this is football, anything can happen).

Manchester Unites got that two simultaneous goals to level up and have an advantage over Southampton then thought they got the match in the bag. Kudos to the Saint for not giving up hope and fought until they got the point they truely deserve.

Wait what! A late goal ruined the fun for Manchester United... What a shitty luck, the guy was just in 10 minutes ago...
I could imagine the laugh of Chelsea and Leicester staff and fans, incredible!
Man United 2 - 2 Southampton...
This result coupled with the decision made by UEFA earlier on today that Manchester City will participate in next year's UEFA Champion's League will even make the Last day Match between Leicester City and Manchester United even much more mouth watering.

Southampton scored from an impossible angle to tie their game with Man UTD.
Unbelievable!
Not manchester Utd are not going on to the other tourney. That one goal cost them 11mln. Shocked
The saddest thing is that the goal came in the 96th minute when there should have been 95 minutes. Bad luck foe them but i still think they have a good chance to catch a UCL spot. Damn ManUnited missed 1 goal should David De'Gea not pass it to a defender and it made a mistake again because they did not focus there is an opponent in front of him so that really bad luck happens.

Stay optimistic that this is just the first round of Manchester United must be able to reply to goals that have occurred and win this match, so they can add points to position 4 to shift Leicester.
Take a breath Snipie, ManU 0 - 1 Southampton... United will comeback in the score and win, it is too early, there is still +70 minutes... Shit!
BTW $crypto$, United has to win to take the 3rd spot, a draw won't let them be in front of Leicester...

now is:

Manchester United 2 - 1 Southampton

in just 3 minutes Manchester United scored 2 goals, I see that in this game Manchester United can score more goals Grin
Now game tempo is very slow as Manchester United is leading we are in 73rd minute so hopefully we have 3 - 1 or going to end with this current result 2 - 1 which is also OK for home team as they are going to 3rd for first time under Ole.

Defender? It wasnt one of the defender, it was Pogba  Tongue , you should check on the replay. IMO De Gea made the right decision there, taking aim to hurl the ball further might not be a good choice when they want to setup an opportunity to attack so he chose to pass instead. It was Pobga that was careless and let the ball got stolen

Dont worry though, they are going to win this. I was pessimistic when Southampton scored but Martial is on fire  Tongue

According to a report from Independent, the English League clubs will make plans to be able to hold matches with spectators in the 2020/21 season, although not in full capacity.  Currently there are plans to hold a match with an audience with a capacity of 40% of the total seats that can be used to watch the game live.

Plans currently being prepared contain the distance between seats, which must also consider the diagonal distance between the spectators.  Spectators must also wear masks and use electronic tickets that can be tracked to facilitate the tracking program for potential distribution of Covid-19.

The English league is expected to start the 2020/21 season on September 12, according to the date set by UEFA (European Football Association) as the start of the calendar for the next competition season.

Sounds like a nice plan but with only 40% the total capacity , it would be nice to see how they select ten of thousandth out of over a hundred thousand fans to join and watch the game. In a derby match, that number could even spike up higher with alot more fans wanting to watch the game

yeah, MU go to top 3.. I think the match will be won by MU with a small score (maybe 2-0) playing at Old Trafford was a disaster for Southampton..

As of now, it doesnt really matter as even in Old Trafford it is nothing more than a neutral ground with no fans at all. With 4 matches left, Winning this game is crucial for United.

Im quite sure that Manchester United will win and The only thing that spark my attention for this game would be Greenwood. His performances from the last 3 games was great and he could be the next rising star ( Possibly or another 1 season flop like the others but Im confident with the former option after watching him play in the last 3 games Tongue )

Great news for Manchester City.
You can read the full decision here :

UEFA appear to have made the wrong decision or failed to prove Manchester City 's guilt.
In the end Mnachester City escaped sanctions from UEFA so that this could breathe a sigh of relief to play UCL next season.
I am sure this season's match at UCL will be even better after hearing this news they are great able to escape UEFA sanctions.

Manchester city is a big team so if it doesn't appear then it feels less in my opinion then this makes me happy with the news.

Man Utd will go 3rd if they beat Bournemouth tonight, that seemed impossible a few months ago but since lockdown ended they’ve been in great form. Like others above my post I think Leicester will be the team to miss out on the top 4, they’ve spectacularly collapsed.
Sorry before..  but today Manchester United vs Southampton, not Bour. Bour has beaten Leicester with many goals..
