According to a report from Independent, the English League clubs will make plans to be able to hold matches with spectators in the 2020/21 season, although not in full capacity.  Currently there are plans to hold a match with an audience with a capacity of 40% of the total seats that can be used to watch the game live.

Plans currently being prepared contain the distance between seats, which must also consider the diagonal distance between the spectators.  Spectators must also wear masks and use electronic tickets that can be tracked to facilitate the tracking program for potential distribution of Covid-19.

The English league is expected to start the 2020/21 season on September 12, according to the date set by UEFA (European Football Association) as the start of the calendar for the next competition season.

Man Utd will go 3rd if they beat Bournemouth tonight, that seemed impossible a few months ago but since lockdown ended they’ve been in great form. Like others above my post I think Leicester will be the team to miss out on the top 4, they’ve spectacularly collapsed.
Today we are going to watch Manchester United vs Southampton not Bournemouth they already ruined Leicester City last night and I have very bad dreams all night even in one Roger and Vardy both commit Suicide  Sad Roll Eyes Shocked
Do not forget boyz that Southampton was lucky enough to win vs City but I doubt they will do the same with United. My dream was ManU beating Southampton, 3 punches or more  Tongue
About Leicester, yeah it is sad what happened to them, Vardy gotta search another team especially after City's ban left!

Rodger and his team did a good job at the start of the season but they forgot to being consistent in the end when it is crucial. They have missed two opportunities to take the 3rd spot when Chelsea dropped points recently. Certainly fans wouldn't be happy how they are letting some poor performing teams to come on top of them.

With today's CAS decision on city's ban things also went against them furthermore.  Undecided

UEFA appear to have made the wrong decision or failed to prove Manchester City 's guilt.
Great news for Manchester City but bad news for the teams that are on the race to last positions for Champions League in 2020 - 2021. Only 2 positions left for three teams: Manchester United, Leicester City, and Chelsea.

I am shocked with the news and decision from UEFA. Such decision makes them look stupid and corrupt football organization. How strong the financial backbone of Manchester City is? We all know that and we don't know what happened past months and how the situation of Manchester City has slowly turned from bad to good. Suspicious decision from UEFA.

Today an extremely important match for Manchester United. Faced with Chelsea and Leicester's defeat, Red Devils have a chance to jump to 3rd place in the table. They have not occupied such a high place for a long time. In addition, if they win, they will significantly increase their chances of playing in the Champions League next season. Although Southampton is in quite good form lately, I don't believe that Man Utd will miss this chance. It should be remembered that Manchester will play this season with both Chelsea and Leicester and probably would like to start these games with a point advantage.

Yep, I definitely did not think they will fight for CL spots this season. They have 5 wins in a row and have scored 16 goals in these games. They have Chelsea at home and Leicester away until the end of the season and if form is any measure, they look as favorites for that 3rd spot at this point in time.

Leicester was 3rd for a huge part of the season and might end up with no CL football after all. They have only 1 win in their last 6 league games and have nobody else to blame for but themselves.

Both Chelsea and Leicester have been inconsistent after the restart. They have given the chance to United to close the gap and be another competitor for 3rd-4th spot. United took the chance very well and with this round's drop of points from both Leicester and Chelsea they have very good chance.

I expect no change from Ole today against Southampton since the current lineup is working out wonders for them. Southampton are unpredictable side also so can't say which way it will go. If United wins tonight Leicester will drop out of CL position. Undecided

I will add in my own Spurs team to be the inconsistent one, such as the fate for Arsenal too. In fact, Manchester United before COVID lockdown was suffering from the same fate, but the difference is now they got a full squad full of fit players with a new player from Portugal giving them a boost of motivation.

Yeah Kepa is not worth the price of his transfer. He is so immature and not a high skilled goalkeeper, especially after that Manager Kepa's incident. Should have loaned him to other club like Courtois. But beside him, I also feel Jorginho doesn't fit with Lampard's strategy. He almost led the Sheffield scored 4th goal in the match. Since the league restart, everything went right when he didn't play, the midfield area looked solid enough with Kante - Barkley/Kovacic - Mount. I wasn't surprised when Lampard chose Gilmour over him after Kante's injury when played Crystal Palace previously. Now Gilmour also gets injured, so I think the disaster on Chelsea's side isn't done yet.

And also one thing that caught my attention, it's about Giroud. In Premier League so far, he only played in starting line-up 9 times includes when played Man City, but Chelsea won 7 games of them. Maybe he is not a best scorer, but when he playing, his teammates have more space to dribble and shoot. This was also one of the reasons why France could won World Cup with his zero goal during the tournament lol. Imo, currently he is better than Tammy who often wasted chances and played bit selfish. In yesterday game, Tammy had 5 shots (most in the match) which only 1 on goal shot, while in the game agains Palace, Willian had the most with 3 shots, and Giroud made 2 with 1 goal. Using young squad is indeed important for sustainability purpose, but it should be balanced with experience players.
Sounds like an analysis that comes from a chelsea fan tho 😆

But yeah the point is that our defensive are is sucks , everyone can see it clearly even someone like your mom who doesn't understand football much when seeing Chelsea played like that they would know what's wrong.

Leicester city gave us a lifeline with a huge lost to Bournemouth, while we are waiting for tonight match where Manchester United will play against Southampton at home.
It's just another luck if United lost to Southampton or get draw at least.

We'll see.

Now there are two slots available, no longer three because fifth place now goes to the Europa league and not the UCL anymore. So which teams (2) do you think has the capacity to complete the four heading for Europe next season: United, Chelsea, Leicester or maybe even Wolverhampton?

Manchester United - Southampton

today is a very important game for Manchester United, if they win they will stay with 61 points and they will be in third place ... a position that can stay until the end of this season if they win the next games, something that in my opinion is possible given Manchester United's good performance.

while Leicester has very difficult games ahead of them due to their poor performance

Chelsea also have tough games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Wolves. The only game that in my opinion chelsea can easily win is the morning game against Norwich

Wolves will be tested against Burnley and if they win and win the game against crystal palace then they will only have to beat chelsea, so I think it will look like this:

1 - Liverpool
2 - City
3 - Manchester United
4 - Wolves

No surprise I guess, a few bribes have been paid I guess. Good news for City but not so good for Chelsea, Leicester & Man Utd. One of those teams will not play CL football next season now.

thats sadly true - fine reduced to €10m...

Leicester to reclaim its 3rd position and Man United to jump in front of Chelsea or both if Leicester failed to win. Nice fight over there for CL really!

And now here we go to see whether United will be able to overtake Leicester and Chelsea or not tomorrow.
With what United did so far after the restart, I think they will be able to beat Southampton easily. It would be bad it they cant do it.
3 points will make them jump into 3rd position as they will have 61 points while Chelsea on 4th with 60 and Leicester on 5th with 59.
Damn I knew it! I was just waiting for Leicester to lose that game but with 4 goals...that was very very bad! Now it is the turn of Man United to jump in front of both of them and for Leicester to be kicked from the first 4 ranks as I expected since the restart Grin

From what I understood, the ban is lifted not only this season but the next seasons also, which I find good tho. City is a good team and deserves to be present in every competition. If they find something fishy better to fines them (£££) rather than punishing players and fans!

Aaaand now that the decision has been made by the CAS and city will play in the UCL next season, doesn't it make it top four battle a lot more interesting and competitive Grin

I am thinking United will have that 3rd place without any problems. They are playing best and most consistent football in the PL since the restart. If they win tonight and they should they will get that 3rd place and I don't see them dropping it until the end.

4th place will be a big competition between all those clubs you mentioned and I really don't know who will clinch it in the end. Chelsea, Leicester and Wolves are all playing good in some games and then they spoil it all in the next game. Just check this week performances by Chelsea and Leicester. All three clubs played very good in some parts of the season and deserve that spot. I would maybe like Chelsea to clinch it since they have some nice transfers cued up and I think they will have the squad to actually do something in CL next season while Wolves and Leicester will probably fare better in EL.

City is probably more than happy with 10M fine. For the club with that much money that is more like slap on the wrist than real obstacle.

Yes, and even their fee was reduced to just 10m euros. Now i hope everyone will come to true realization of the job Ole has done with the Manchester United squad since Janurary, 17 unbeaten games, with a win tonight sending Manchester United to the 3rd position on the standings. As it is now, Chelsea could have to hope that Manchester United defeats Leicester on the Matchday 38, to have a chance at the 4th position come end of the season, Remember that wolves and Liverpool are waiting for Chelsea.

I just red the news! It was deemed appropriate to impose a fine of € 10 million.
City should pay 10 million but they can play CL next year. I think they are happy.

So, other teams should work hard after this news. United fans may be a little upset after this news.
