He needs more depth to the squad.

Well it Chelsea won't buy any new players, then they could be another "Mourinho season". Conte is trying to avoid this, but they need to get new players. And even if they don't want to get new players, the current roster will fatigue and may not land in the top 3. He is very wary of letting his players repeat that fall from grace. But without getting any face, they will likely fall. So for me they need reinforcement to defend the title.

pre season results can not be used as a reference for next performance in the league because usually the teams who play on pre season matches willl not showing their true strength although Manchester United get europe league trophy but it can be useless if they cannot get the BPL trophy and i think if Manchester United failed to reach first positions this season probably Mourinho will be sacked

If I see the results of the preseason and also the movement of a club in getting a quality player then I see manchester united has a very big chance to become EPL champion 2017/2018. They currently have good performers in every sector, so I'm sure manchester united will be able to play steady in the next season. Last year they were less fortunate because more get the results of the game a draw. Defense is good, I think the weakness of the city is the attacker, should pepp immediately recruit top strikers to accompany Aguero that often got injured , I think the best choice could be to Harry Kane or Alexis Sanchez.

last season Manchester city have predicted will be the champion of the Premier League because they have been bringing some star players and coach like pep guardiola, but city not a champion and even seems difficult competing in big 4. my prediction is Chelsea or MU

Everyone has their own prediction mate, it is based on their own expectation and/or based on what is happening recently. Indeed MU have only added Lukaku and Lindelof, but I think there will be another new players soon that may make them stronger than Chelsea.

I feel this would be another season without any silverware for Arsenal again, all the big teams in English Premier League are spending tons of money to bolster their squad strengths. Looking at Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool activity in the transfer market makes me wonder why Arsene Wenger still doesn't want to open the checkbook and make more signings to improve Arsenal team quality, I think Arsenal would not qualify for the champions league again and would miss it two seasons in a row.

I think that there is also that believe that Guardiola needed that first year to fit into the club and get them play his tactics and now he is going full barcelona/bayern mode and just win everything like he used to. It was even in his interviews that if he arrived in his previous clubs third he would be automatically sacked but here is aiming for rebuilding Manchester's glory and people may consider one season of getting to know English pitches is enough and there is no way he won't win. Their transfers weren't spectacular enough to think they have the best team. They invested mostly in defensive. Maybe they will get record breaking overpayed Mbappe or if Sanchez decides that he is going to leave Arsenal, they are most likely to get them, then we can think that they have everything needed.

Last year Manchester City started the season with 10 consecutive wins but then had some bad times. I am convinced that Manchester City will do better than last year but to win it is important to have continuity in the results and Conte is a master in this. The arsenal after so many years can only focus on the Premier League.
In December we will see who can really fight for victory
