From how the transfers are currently going, what clubs do you think will be in the top 4 and in what order?  The two clubs I see that are doing well in this tranfser window are Man City and Man United, tho the former has arguably less than spectacular buys compared to the latter.

My top 4 (as of today) are:

1.  Man United
2.  Man City
3.  Hard decision between Liverpool/Chelsea/Spurs
4.  Another hard decision between Arsenal/Everton/Chelsea/Spurs

And I also think it will be really close between Man United and City.  It could go the other way around with City up top and United second.

I dont think MU will be on top with their recent transfer and I think Chelsea's last season squad is still better than the recent MU's squad. Need to watch some matches first to give prediction.

True.  I'm just talking out of my ass and more out of 'in theory' rather than in practice.  It's fun to speculate on what would happen and why (or at least why I or you think so).  Helps with my EPL cravings since it's still a month away before I can get a proper fix.  Grin

Instead of nitpicking, what say you?  What's your top 4 as of today?

This year the Premier League is really unpredictable!
For me Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have the same chance of winning the Premier League.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal in the decisive moments lose too many points and therefore can hardly win the Premier League,
but often come in the top 4 places!
However, this year, Arsenal will be 100% focused on the Premier League because after 20 years he will not play the Champion's League.
Everton may be the big surprise this year and will be fighting for qualifying in Champion's League.

1) Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City
2-4) Chelsea, Manc.United, Manc.City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton

Yes this year it is tough to predict the Premier League. A lot of changes happened in all teams, and before seeing the performance, we can not guess who will come and sit 1st top 4 positions. According to me, i am also going choosing Manchester United will take a 1st position and second position Chelsea and 3rd position Man City and 4th I am confused who will take it maybe Liverpool or Arsenal.
true some real.Competition will be amazing to see next season those three teams will be fighting for the title till the last round i belleive that Tottenham can join them they have been very strong and stable for the past two seasons and now they have a chance to repeat that unless the sell out some of their key players like Alli or Kane Dier ir Walker. Maybe the last two players could be going out but if they replace them.with decent ones they still on the game the other two they are irreplaceable in my opinion. Tottenham will milk out the team who would line to sign them but it will be difficult to fid a quality players like them.at that age

Amazing, Romelu Lukaku joined with Mourinho again, I still remember when Lukaku failed a penalty then mourinho throw it away, now he became the most expensive striker in BPL and should be able to prove. I want to see Lukaku can bringing MU lift Champions league and before it lift Super Europe league against Madrid.

man Utd always bring in star players every season. but all the star players are mostly declining performance after joining Manchester united and finally, they dumped it. the last victim is Ibrahimovic. I hope Romelu Lukaku Don't be the next victim Grin
Man Utd record is not good in these decisions but we can hope Mourinho will do some good for them and if he is bringing Lukaku after selling Rooney he will do some good for Man Utd because now they have some good chance to be stay in top clubs of England and Europe Lukaku is very good in Everton now we can he will more good for this new club also

Not a chance Man Utd will win the title this season. They haven't done anywhere near enough yet to be considered as favourites. To go from 6th to 1st would be very unlikely.

Before anybody mentions Leicester that was a once in a lifetime occurrence.

The only thing wrong with Manchester United last season was their inability to score goals and kill games early, this resulted in a lot of draws, Mourinho was trying to find the best partner for Baily at the back and he ultimately settled for Rojo who played brilliantly before he got injured, By buying Lindilof and Lukaku, Mourinho is trying fix his leaky positions in the squad, and i believe he is doing that very well. we need a holding midfielder and we will be set.
true Mourinho is trying to improve United bit by bit first he started with defense to make it even more harder to break through and now with Lukaku on board he is improving what united lacked most last season and that scoring goals and they are right to bring Lukaku it is yrue that he don't score much against bigger clubs as he scored 21 goals from his 25 in the Premier League against the bottom 13 but United problem was failing to score against those kind of teams those Ho don't give much space and defend hard while the other bigger teams those want to win and not play defense like other teams so they will give spaces also Mukaku is know at United and everygame they will be playing more offensively then Everton ever did so i expect from Lukaku to be a success.

Mourinho after Tottenham refused to give up the player for his eyes on Matic but after Lukako was kidnapped from Chelsea, Matic was unlikely to move.
United for this reason plans to return again and offer a bid of nearly 50 million pounds to persuade Totham to give up Dyer.
Tottenham is in a period of austerity after the cost of building the new stadium has increased from 400 million pounds to 800 million pounds, so some players may be abandoned.

deal with Man United is shocking. The reason, the previous player is widely rumored to be back to his former club, Chelsea.
Lukaku this season became Everton's mainstay weapon to break into the opponent's goal. Total, he successfully create 25 goals and six asisst. I think this is one of the best purchases needed Man united
I personally don't think lukaku is good enough for Man united would love to see Pierre or Bellotti instead of Lukaku...along with morata would be amazing.

But I think Romelu Lukaku is the perfect striker type for manchester united. Lukaku is a type of player with a big body who likes to fight, not just waiting for the ball to come to him. The key is now in Mourinho, will he start believing in the greatness of Lukaku? Or will my luck be the same as Chelsea?

So what do you think, Ibrahimovic or Lukaku ? Both strikers actually are really good, Lukaku is really beast on Everton and same as Ibrahimovic in Man United. If Lukaku can play same as on Everton, i'm sure Man United can be great again.

i thought the transfer of Morata will went smoothly but apparently Madrid has been rejected several offers from Manchester United for this player so might be they will find other players because they're really serious to looking for the forward players and there is a possibility to Lukaku went to Manchester United because this news already became an hot headline in my country
Florentino Perez knew that Manchester United were very desperate for a new striker and would therefore pay anything to get Morata, They could have paid that money but they were just sick and tired of Perez's antics.
Perez and his team have been very arrogant of late, when they want a player, they want to pay their valuation of the said player but they always sell higher than the usual they did the same when the Di Maria was going on. Ed Woodward was definitely fed up and maybe Perez wanted vengeance for the last minute De Gea deal that fell through.

I think after manchester united get lukaku is never interest again about morata
and lukaku is equal ibrahimovi, with big man body balance is good, good finsher
and experience in premiere league with much goal, so in premiere league quality ibrahomovic is above morota

manchester united can pay Regardless of its price , if want player buy, but must equalt with quality
example pogba, and now lukaku with high price too manchester united is easy pay

I don't think Madrid would want to sell morata because this possible deal has been pending for a long time and they don't seem to comment in the media lately so we've resorted to speculations but even with my speculative spectacles I don't see Morata leaving Real Madrid.
