If a lot of people sell their bitcoin in the same time that will not help the price to go up.
That will cause more supply which means low prices, as supply and demand are the two factors which control the price

500 dollar is perhaps a little bit too high, but i see it going above the 400.

Yep, 500$ is a bit high, i think It will end up near 400$ this month, 350$ seems fair for me for the moment, don't want to lose my money if it gets lower. Let's hope so .

It is your hunch alone or there is presumptive evidence that it is indeed possible? It is true that Christmas season is usually optimistic and good for markets, but as you mention people might sell/exchange bitcoin to buy something for FIAT. because it's nearly christmas and i think some people sell/exchange his/her bitcoins to use it in christmas.

I have the same opinion and for the same reason.

wouldn't selling bitcoins cause the price to drop?
I don't think the price will go past $400 this month. if anything it might drop because of the reason you just stated. I'll be happy if I'm wrong though.

Maybe. I think it will jump to 500 again soon, but I am not so sure to say it will jump before christmas. Could be, due to the effect you mention, but it might well be that people lose interest for a while as they celebrate holidays.
Any of both can happen IMO.
