I'm very interested about how your deal was made exactly.
I received an email giving a payment adress and paid to this address. I checked with paypal and it is covered (maybe this is different in other countries?)
Can you give the originating ip from the sender of that mail?
sure, find the header enclosed:

so i have called an apparently competent person at HRP.hu via phone.

he was hearing from me for the first time that this company lists his address on their homepage and he will be investigating it.

he has never heard of this brand. it is also very unlikey that they are using his company as a distributor because they only distribute for 7 big confirm brands: dell, samsung, kyocera, star, hitachi, toshiba, asus.
my request was immediately escalated onto his boss who will make sure their brand is not damaged by a possible scammer.

current scam-o-meter: raise
d from 90% to 99,5%

you can run, but you can't hide from bitcointalk detective team.

I confirm 100% what apetersson says. I spoke with HPR. HU two days ago and they gave me the same answer: Prime Asia is Not them.

I am really sorry that Ztex guy's missed ASIC party. They are Eu and pros it would be very nice if they had a product

who said they won't? They could easily be one of the two experienced integrators that might be picking up the 28Nm ASIC being made in europe

I said they can and they are pros and i regret that there is no news from them about Asics yet

Has anybody called the police??? Fraud is a crime. If these people are found to be trying to con others out of thousands of euro surely the fraud squad would be interested.

I'm really sick and tired of people getting scammed. Here is my challenge to PrimeASIC:

You say that you have 500 units of your custom designed ASICS. I challenge you to do the following:

1.) Create an account on BTCGuild and post your user#

2.) Mine with atleast 5 units (I'm asking you to prove you have 1% of your current stock and that your units can sustain 80 gh/s) for a minimum of 24 hours. All proceeds must be donated towards bitcointalk.org (the donation must be confirmed by a admin / moderator) minus any reasonable costs for power usage.

3.) Post that information back here on the forums.

If you meet these conditions, I will not only apologize for my accusations but I will buy several of your units. If you cannot meet these conditions, I will do everything that is within my power to stop you attempting to scam this community.

You have 5 business days to respond.

Sincerely,

A very tired and fed up bitcointalk member.

P.S This post has been PMed to PrimeASIC.

I decided to cancel my order. Not only because of this thread but also because I will soon be traveling more and not be able to propperly monitor such an unknown device.

9 Minutes after sending an email to him, the PayPal payment was refused by him and he confirmed my cancelation.

On the one hand I am happy to be on the safe side again, on the other hand.... No new toy.  Sad
