I just payd one device via PayPal - I will keep you informed. Hope to receive a valid tracking number on monday. If nothing arrives I still have PalPays refund policy that is likely to cover it.

Beware: Paypal/CC credits are credited immediately to the vendor. If this is a short term scam and they "cash-out" from Paypal before you start the refund process, then neither Paypal or your CC issuer will be able to make the chargeback to the vendor.

I don't say you won't definitely be able to have your chargeback: but CC or paypal are NOT a 100% guarantee.

*IF* anything gets sent - make an opening video at the post office or in front of the delivery man!!!
Paypal can be a bit dense at times-if they provide a tracking number which states they sent and delivered something the right size..... Huh

As said, I have been at the adress. If they give another adress I can go again Cheesy, but this aint gonna happen if you ask me
I guess also the apartment at the address is too small to store 500 units of this radiator?

I got an email reply today for of my email enquiring about how to place and order. It stated this Monday we will be able to order on the webpage. They also stated that they have 500 units presently and that they are a little bit overwhelmed by the interest. I will try to get for the details if I can view the product prior to purchasing it.

Please be careful. They changed the registration of the website: at the beginning was some "Edi" company that didn't know what an ASIC or BTC is. Then they changed it to HRP Hungary (hrp.hu), which I contacted and told me they have nothing to do with ASIC or BTC.

Some other people went to the addresses they have on the website, having the same "i don't know what you are talking about" answers from people there.

Last but not least, nobody had the chance to contact them at the brand new phone number they have created for this.

Don't get me wrong: I would love this to be real, I will be in Budapest next week and I would really love to buy some of the units myself. But there are red flags everywhere. The only non-red flag is this new picture, which is something than ca be very easily faked.

I would recommend ordering NOTHING until a few trusted members can see the working units with their eyes. It shouldn't be difficult, as I'm going to be there next week, we have some hungarian fellows reading the forum, and some others are at drive distance and waiting for a "local pickup address" to check this is not a scam.

The case airflow design is simply ridiculous.

Actualy is the best cooling possible for the design. For me this type of radiator is good if you bend the chips with screws, like transistor for power audio amplifier. I dont know how you can allign radiator to all the chips like this design, at least will be very dificult.

So what is this? Fake or real?

Ship to Thailand?

99% this is a scam my friend. Check the status full thread:

-they are impersonating a well established IT company that doesn't even know what bitcoin is (hrp.hu)

-new website

-no answer to emails and PMs

-new and unresponsive phone

-fake office address

etc...

Sure doe look like 4 boards out of an Avalon.
IMO It absolutely does, albeit with some (minor) implementation changes.  Could this be the first re-seller?
No, since they don't sell.  Wink The website states "Opening TODAY!!!" for the third day now.  Huh

The cooling solution is actually very good although it won't be easy to high density stack the units as the 2 big sides will need clearance for air to flow. It's a very simple solution to taking out 800W out of a box. As to the ASICs inside well someone needs to lay hands on one to check it out. It is likely to be either a lower technology ASIC like Avalon or a FPGA solution.

👻
They could have striked a deal with Avalon team to be a reseller.
(basically they just buy the chips/modules from Avalon)

Then again, if I'd be reselling the only real Asic known so far, I'd advertise this as big as possible on my website Smiley

Dont want to sound like Phinn, but the power plugs dont seem to be connected, or if they are, at random angles.

I don't want to sound like Puppet, but I concur.  Grin

it has vents on the face of the case remove (according to the other half of the photo). Sure doe look like 4 boards out of an Avalon. Any body contacted them to see if they have business dealing with these guys? They could have just bought a couple of Avalons then butchered them to make this one model. But Avalon boards have the fins running length wise along the boards because they have the boars laying down with fans at each end don't the?

For race mounting you could way lay the case on its side with exhaust at the top. Front to rear like an Avalon is better in that way because you aren't blowing hot air onto the intake of the one above etc.

Assuming you ever get the first one to then worry about what will happen if you got a second one....

While pics are sure impressive if it's fakeware.
And, while cooling maybe enough as designed if this thing is real, the cooling design is just stupid unless there are exhaust fans on the cover that is removed and 6 fans that we see are intake fans or vise versus. Then air is blown side to side through the unit.

But how do you install this thing at collocation facility? Its too high and not very deep. if you treat it as a tower then it takes to many rack U spaces with too much empty and costly space around it. You can't install it as rack-mounted. you ether heating the walls of the cabinet and then heat accumulates in the rack or first unit preheats next unit if you put few of the side by side. Very amateurish design.

You can see the control PCB behind the mass of the PSU cables and ribbon cables.
