He's seemingly been pretty busy recently so I'm not sure he'll see this, but you need 50 posts to claim so send him a pm on the 17th of this month.

The problem with the "views" idea is that generally there is no way to tell who is viewing YOUR post versus who's viewing the entire thread.  So you could just go onto a busy thread and post some crap and no one will actually read your post, but you'd be rewarded.  I don't think this is a good method at all.

Other times, I post in a 3 post thread and if you think about it, you might be better viewed there because there aren't endless posts to scroll through.

The whole idea was dumb to begin with, to be honest.

Yeah, I agree, its possible to just post in a popular thread even if you write some crap and people will still view it because they are reading the rest, and sometimes you write some good stuff in a small thread and not many people will read it.

Either way at the moment PD are paying us to put the name on every thread and post (While keeping our names in good standing aswell) which i think we are doing for them.

"The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you"

Was it a joke or what?

No, he was suggesting people get paid by how many times their post is 'viewed' as opposed to per post, but I don't get how anyone could even tell that.

Yes! people should be paid by how many view on their threads

That would be easily abused with bots.
And what about other post?

I don't think bots can do it.
First they have to create account then they will view the thread? too long proccess

Haha. Of course they can do it. This forum is regularly flooded with bots, only when they post we can spot them. They don't have to post using your method. It's really not a good idea at all. Thread views won't translate to web hits anyway.

Indeed, I think that's a very bad way to decide how much you get paid. But I understand it's proposition, according to his Activity - 14 & Post - 18 level ^^.  Just hang on CoinBuddy, in a few months you will be well rewarded for your post using this service.

And of course bots can create many many many views in a small time.

Yeah.I will carry out work on devolpment and innovation in bitcoin. Thanks

Well you can already get a page count, and html 5 does have some cool features, it should be possible to see what part of the pages is in view of the user. But this all takes alot of coding on top of a simple forum, and also requires alot of back and forth data, which would kill the servers.

The revolution will be digital
I don't know how others feel, but these little "bidding wars" that some people are pushing for just cheapens the campaigns and as far as I'm concerned, just red flags us as a whole, and I see the sigs on this board getting eliminated altogether if these red flags keep popping up.

If this ever comes to happen (and Stunna with other benefactors fail to bribe the authorities here), this may mark the end of the forum. It will be a matter of a few days (if not hours) for a new, more signature loyal forum to pop up with the user base instantly migrating there... Cool

That's what people said about alt coin giveaways but this forum is still here and going strong. I'm sure lots will move over to a new forum but none of them have the userbase this one does, though that's not to say a bigger one could arise and banning sig campaigns certainly would help in that regard.

A more loyal sig campaign forum may show up, but how many users will migrate? Likely only the sig advertisers and a few other members. User base or not, forums survive on longevity.  Then again, myspace was crushed.

Users with paid-for signatures may not be the majority here, but evidently they are the most active ones on this forum (that's what ultimately matters), and with the financial and technical support from the sig advertisers, a new forum may quickly gather popularity... Cool

A new forum of who? Mostly sig advertisers. I'm sure it will gain other users, mostly ones that are there to make money or dupe accounts.  It may start out ok at first, but eventually, it will turn into a big circle jerk.  So to speak.

A forum cant be run by sig advertisers. A forum gets established because of its content quality, which sig advertisers or forum advertisers encash on. If u look closely, u'll see most of the sig advertisers are also forum advertiser.

I'm long time into online marketing et al and from that experience, I can tell u that online money follows good content. So, as long as, we are helping newbies, doing constructive criticism to services and in general adding value to the forum, the forum will exist with its own advertisement as well as the sig adverts.

If u look at the forum's alexa rank, u'll know how positively the active members are contributing to it and thereby raising the forum's value itself to the advertisers leading to better cost of ad space on the forum. But, if the members start randomly spamming the board, that has to be controlled, else bitcoinTalk will turn into a 4chan which will eventually discourage the advertisers.

Well, do you really think this forum started just for the fun of it? And its creators didn't consider making profits off it? Cool

I think it was probably created just for somewhere to discuss what they were passionate and interested about - bitcoin. Very few probably thought they were ever going to get rich off of it or it turn into something as great as it has now. I'd say pretty much most of the other forums that are created/spring up only have one thing in mind - to make money.
