Keep it dense, yeah?
Hey guys, I don't know if I should be asking this here nor if this question has been answered before, but how is Stunna able to give out so much money?

I'm not sure if he has any other ventures with Bitcoins, such as trading on the exchanges, but I imagine that the BTC generated from PrimeDice makes it plenty worthwhile.
I would assume that he/she finds this bct user advertising profitable, which really leads me to want to start a dice site myself. Any thoughts?

It's up to you, but you would have to offer something slightly different to make people want to try your dice site. Also you would be competing against established brands which have a huge head start.

One of the biggest assets an established dice site has is trust - you can't write that stuff, it comes over time with a developed user base.

It's not of our business really, but he probably gains more customers by advertising through our signatures, which will pay for the costs he has to make to pay us.

2011 user, many posts daily.

Why are you posting this here? PD pays 0.0003 per post.

He's probably trying to get a better deal...  Tongue

You're not going to get a better deal than this. I've seen many people try to sell their sigs for a cash advance, but none have been successful. There's nothing to guarantee they'll even post and that's why paying per post is ideal for the advertiser.

And it seems to be better for posters as well (in comparison to a tier system), since you don't have to mentally torture yourself squeezing out posts to reach for the tier... Grin

By the way, what was your last score?

How many posts did I do? Check the feedback I left for Stunna. I put the amount I got there.

So, it appears that no one came even close to 4000 constructive posts (bots excluded)... Grin

Nope, and neither do the bots haha. They get zapped pretty quick as they're easy to spot. Luckily none of the bots that have flooded the forum recently have had any signature deals, but maybe they would try sign up for them in the future. I don't really understand what the purposes of the bots are otherwise, unless they're trying to build up a post count to sell them on.

I reckon that it is exactly your last point - they are building their activity to sell them on. I mean come to think of it, they can just delete all those posts afterwards right? They will still keep their activity. It will look suspicious to those who observe the account, but other they will just take their coins and run.

I can't see any other rational explanation...

Probably not, though I bet that somebody could. It would be a full-time job and they would need to get into some debates. I think it helps if you know about mining, there's always discussions to be had in that board.

Something that has come to my attention is that certain people have been using bots to boost their post count, namely in the off-topic sections. What these bots will do is copy and paste exactly a previous post on an earlier page of a thread such as "what music are you listening to".  Thanks to a user looking out for us, we found a few of these abusers today and have revoked their permission to advertise for us. If you attempt to do this, I guarantee you will not get away with it and are wasting your time.

Good work to those involved in identifying this. The crackdown on abusers helps PD and its legitimate participants keep their credibility.

Although that bot is rather crude in what it does, it's a rather effective tool. Of course, somebody is bound to notice something fishy.
