Another impressive week for the high rollers!
Is your name on there?

I think what PrimeDice needs to do with these public stats is at least censor them like Bitmex does.

For example

https://www.bitmex.com/app/leaderboard

What they do is, unless the user accepts they are given a random name and not the real nickname.

Because many people use the same username across many different exchanges and services and if a hacker notices someone with > 100 BTC they might easily become a target with social engineering.

I realize that most of those usernames are random and pretty funny actually but there should be an option to hide their real nick.

There is a Ghost mode, if you have it activated you are not in the table, nor participating in the weekly challenges.

Primedice does not respect the data protection of its customers!

They posted against the willingness of a high roller in their chat that he was already up 170 BTC. Another problem is that many players play illegal or do not pay taxes on winnings and friends often know the usernames. So high rollers at Primedice or Stake are at risk to get denounced by jealous friends.

I see a lot of players that just don't have an exit strategy, especially in case of multiple win... ("now I can win moar!!"), and so I suppose there is a lot of potential profit completely lost.

Generally speaking, the common mindset that i see is: "my exit strategy is when my balance goes to zero"
Gamblers want to gamble and not to exit!  Roll Eyes

And stopping to play after balance is zero has nothing to do with strategy, because if you have no money you simply can not continue to play.

Well, exactly, some players can go thousands of dollar on top, but they keep playing until they eventually (sooner or later) lose it all.
I think it is good to start playing with a limit in mind, for both loses and victories.

That's not true, if you win a consistent amount I'm sure you at least would withdraw a part of it to spend outside of gambling sites. Imho gamblers want to win and many times do not take in consideration what to do in case of loss, till reaching the "hard limit" (zero balance)
You are a signature campaign poster and obviously absolutely clueless about gamblers! Maybe a small percentage of players will stop playing after a larger win and spend some of it for other things, but over 90% of the players simply continue to play until their balance reaches zero. That is a fact!

I am not sure about your ratios but I do agree with you that "most" people continue to play until their balance reaches 0.

However it is not Primedice's fault that they can't control their emotions.

Its not only dice. Look at what happened earlier on Bitmex with all the people who got "rekt" shorting BTC because they wanted it to go to $0. Is it Bitmex fault that they got forced liquidated ? No. They got liquidated because of their greedy emotions and its no different with dice.

Most people that play and their balance reaches 0 are usually people who fall into the trap of "greed and fear" they win a little, get greedy and lose a little, get fearful, and lose it all.

And I think the psychological factor and player's bankroll to stand for a bad streak is also important: a missjudgement like a gamblers fallacy can put you out of the game before you can achieve at least that 1% HE

if you quickly skim through the player's wagered and profit/loss,
the ones that keep it not hidden, you can see that way too many players have loss figures much bigger than the estimated HE of 1%
means that either the strategy is not optimal or the "meaningful" bets went wrong
for example: you can bet a million 1 satoshi bets at 50% chance and then place one 0.01 bet and lose it all
and too many players believe that if they just had ten reds in a row, they simply must win the next one-gambler's fallacy number one
the main  cause of so many tears and scam accusations  Grin

I see a lot of players that just don't have an exit strategy, especially in case of multiple win... ("now I can win moar!!"), and so I suppose there is a lot of potential profit completely lost.

This user in question was linked by fingerprint to a user who defrauded PD out of a significant sum of money. Given that, their account had a flag on it before they even made a deposit. We asked for ID and the user provided an identity we believed wasn’t theirs. We wanted to have a phone call with them to try and clear this up and after many delays they agreed. It was clear they had found a non-involved girl talk to us who didn’t seem to know anything about primedice or bitcoin. That violated our terms but obviously that isn't why we held the withdrawal, we held it for the reason originally stated.

I'd like to stop this right here and make clear that this is not a matter of money but rather a matter of principle. I'm happy to donate at minimum the funds involved in this claim to a charity of the community's choosing. The trust of this community is not something we take for granted and is why we elected to post here to further explain this unusual situation.
What happened with the confiscated 34 BTC?

Did you put it in your pocket instead of donation?
