This is an older thread, but it would be great to update it.
Privacy coins were all the rage late 2017/early 2018, right in the middle ofthe bull run.
They've died down in popularity but their relevance is still there.
As bitcoin becomes more popular and regulations set in, people will look for more alternative ways to do private transactions.
So the use for these privacy coins is something that will only grow.
For me personally, I believe Monero is the king and monero is all you need.
It is one of the oldest, time tested, thoroughly private coins.
Also, it has the biggest advantage of being the most widely used and requested coin in private transactions.

You didn't mention one of my most favourite Privacy Coins.. Veil.
I discovered this Privacy coin some months back and I have been following it's progress since then, Veil uses a combination of Zero coins and many other innovations, you might wanna check it out.

Personally Monero remains my favorite privacy coin because of the Ring CT feature.  I understand there are newer privacy coins with claims of more advanced features like dual consensus algorithm(both POW and POS), zerocoin technology etc,  but the main reason for creating privacy coins is anonymity and that's what Monero upholds.

Monero have strong research lab. Whatever technology that will come and will be more private or same private but more efficient, Monero will grab it, code it and hire an audit firm for possible bugs and then implement it at next protocol upgrade.  This is how Monero works past 5 years and is perfect way. It makes Monero the best and bugs free.

The worst is zcash as it does not offer privacy by default.

There are many coins that call himself opaque ledger cryptocurencies and does not offer privacy as a default. So those few transactions stick out and are easy prey of block chain analysis. But ZCash have bigger problems. One is that it need trusted setup. So we need to truest those few people that launched it and we cant audit they did it fair. They can have hidden stash of coins and we will never knew that and be able to prove it. Also behind ZCash is a private company. It is not like Bitcoin or Monero a community run project.

The best one right now is Pirate Chain (ARRR); and everything else under the Komodo (KMD) system.

Just research them to better understand.

I like Monero for its complete untraceable transaction. Both sender and receiver staying hidden. Also, recently noticed a new coin name - VEIL. It's focusing pure privacy. This newcomer has some serious aim to develop. It's a hybrid Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake coin. Take a look at https://veil-project.com/

The worst is zcash as it does not offer privacy by default. For using as a privacy coin monero is the best as it is tried and tested. However, as an investment deeponion is going cheap and has more potential to rise in future

Just wanted to add Tixl to the list: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annico-tixl-private-instant-zero-fees-5143557

It's a new cryptocurrency that allows private, instant and zero-fee transactions at the same time. We are putting as much work as possible into it at the moment. Of course, we appreciate any feedback we can get from the community Smiley

I really like the Zcash privacy concept. It's promising and has an even better privacy approach than Monero. But also Monero already has a good approach to enable privacy. I particularly like the stealth addresses. But both still have some problems with speed and scalability.

Right now, this truly belong to Komodo $KMD and its coins/tokens under its platform or forks under its ecosystem. Check out PirateChain $ARRR and Verus Coin $VRSC and KMD ANNs and you will find out why they are the best privacy coins right now.

I think Monero is the best coin privacy, and Monero is the leader. Monero has good profits as a privacy coin and is very promising. and I think monero is unique in transacting.

It's Monero.Monero is anonymous bitcoin. This site has become popular with the black market: sellers of drugs and weapons. However, the implementation on the basis of Monero expects that you trust the owner of the mixing service — and that he will not give you to the police.

Zcash
Verge
Monero

The three coins are great to choose because all three have high market value.
But unfortunately DEEP ONION said many people in this forum if DEEP ONION was a SCAM, I don't know!

I additionally looked into about these monetary standards, I like what Verge and Monero offer, DeepOnion since it has an incredible advancement and incorporations like obfs4 and Meek working from the tor organize, which make it difficult to track up, obviously Monero isn't in the period of task, possibly that is the reason the value, this is the minute when it regards put resources into onions since they are shabby.

I want to invest in a privacy coin but I am not able to decide which is good one .Some people say verge is good but when the mcafee shillings started and the coin dumped I am no longer sure. Does it technically have what it takes to be a good privacy coin like monero in future ? How good is the team?

I recommend you PRiVCY coin. You can buy PRiVCY in https://crex24.com/exchange/PRIV-BTC . For more info, check out the ANN https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annprivcy20th-airdrop-starts-20th-octoberpowpos-4503790 .

My 2nd recommendation is DeepOnion. More information and links to exchanges can be found here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/onion-privacy-coin-with-real-use-cases-deeponion-222-released-2683530 .

If judged professionally it's very difficult because all coins have their advantages. anyone using Tor, Zerocoin Protocol, I2P, etc. but in reality if we reap a lot of income and profits on the coin is certainly self-taught we will choose a coin that makes us a big profit. is it all right?
