Your former pal is still happily scamming people in a self moderated thread over there https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/fund-raiser-frozenbit-multi-currency-multisignature-open-source-wallet-673533

Perhaps you can try to fix that first ?

I want to jump in here. I've know Jeff_FrozenBit for quite some time. I have a personal relationship with him. You can trust what he says. No one knew about this scam he was pulling. However, FrozenBit's backend (domains and server) was all controlled by someone else on the team which makes the executive decision to remove Calvin much easier.

So what happened? How did he scam everyone and get away with it?
Well, from the start he made himself seem legit. He talked, he followed through with things he was saying, he got the team together. Everything. So any logical person would believe this is a real project. However...he "changed" his name a couple times (as previously stated) and has completely fallen off the grid. Then they went back to his profiles and discovered some new scam reports on him, he was considered a Bitcoin Scammer.

He is being pulled from the team. New adjustments are being made.

I know they are deeply sorry about everyone who has lost their donations and more.
I can assure you though that the project is being developed still. It's not stopping. It's too much of an opportunity. FrozenBit will continue.

New competition in the multisig wallet provider space is a good thing.

"Calvin", however, has made a number of fairly dubious claims, and that's left me, at least, feeling rather uncomfortable with FrozenBit.

It will be interesting to see how things progress from here. I think you'll have a tough time getting over the negative image he's left FrozenBit with, but for what little it's worth I wish you the best.

If I might offer a small bit of advice: the more open you are, the better. For example, even if you don't choose to open source all of your code (which is perfectly fine when it comes to the server-side code IMO), placing the code which you do decide to open source up on GitHub (or similar) earlier rather than later would be a good thing.

Best of luck...

Hello BitcoinTalk,

Before anyone else even thinks about donating to the address posted above and any other btc address associated with any of the 'Frozenbit' accounts posts, I would like to notify you that you are being SCAMMED.
The development team at FrozenBit is working out some administrative issues with our former CEO Calvin Harsh (also known as Calvin Harris). Please ignore anything posted by this account from 10/26/14 on out. Do not donate any funds to any wallet addresses posted throughout the duration of the accounts existence.
We are doing our best to work out this pressing issue and promise everything will be explained soon.
We thank you for your patience.

Kind Regards,

Over the past few months we've been on development mode

Not on github though - https://github.com/frozenbit (+ my personal favorite)

maybe having something here could help with the sc^H^H fundraising.

Is there perhaps a TestNet version out one can test?

During the beta you'll have the option to use Real or testnet.

If your service is not up yet, how can you compare it to other services that are actually live in production?

Wish you good luck with your project!

We have testing going on right now, I'm just repeating what people are telling me. Ofcourse, The whole nature of our service is not what I tell you, but what's in the code.

http://github.com/greenaddress should you have missed it!

Is your service live yet and where can i find your source code? How different is your service from BitGo?

First of all I would like to ask, you mentioned that "not even you can take our bitcoins" how will this be, when one performs a transaction the keys would show up on your side, how can one be sure that you wouldn't steal the coins.

Second, you mentioned that user can make cold-storage wallets, but then again, one would need to enter the keys on the website to perform transactions, again it would risk the bitcoins being stolen by you or a hacker.

No private keys are required on the service, only public keys. However, you can do all generation through the service the AND project is opensource so you couldn't be more wrong and disinformed. I invite you to please read through the information provided, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask Smiley

Also another point is we do NOT have a central server, we are a direct line between you and the bitcoin network.

 see you http://frozenbit.io

Very nice, Looking forward to this releasing but how is it different from GreenAddress.it though?

Green address is neither open-source, 2 of 3 and you don't control your own keys. This is something FrozenBit is making possible. Any transaction from greenaddress has to go through their server to get signed. We use push tx with PUBLIC KEYS ONLY and send directly through the bitcoin network. All generation is done user (client) side and we don't intervene with how or when you spend your money. Assuming you can pass the 2fa.

Also we're different because of how bare-boned we make multisig. Simplicity is how adoption occurs, we leave core functions in but hide them behind a nice interface.

So in recap, we give users more control, more transparency and TRUE 2 OF 3 MULTISIG instead of 2 of 2 P2SH

No worries, and no need to be sorry. I grabbed my chance to mark your ad a bit - I do such things, but it's rather meant to be a joke. People who know me get used to this Smiley

But I'm sure not only me, also other people on this forum, are waiting to see your project in the wild.
You would indeed be the fist online wallet that provides a multisig kind of security, where the wallet's owner holds one key (or two keys) while you (the server) are holding the other.
Assuming that I understood the concept correctly, reading your post, that's actually what I believe some people have been waiting for.

Yeah, that is the general concept. There is a little more going on, but we hide it behind a user friendly interface.
