Yeah we need to do our own research about those altcoins as many of them are just for easy short term that being created for pumps and dumps with no existing product. Development of product will takes longer to process and the value of token will easily dumps due to manipulation of those whales. you can see coins in the market crypto what you like because to invest in Altcoin depends on yourself and confidence. buy coins in the market or invest in an ICO project that can make good profits for you. all Altcoins in the crypto world are very good and just choose which one you like.

Gain knowledge first about crypto because that's important.The main rule when investing is to do your own research and invest what you can only afford to lose, dips is the right timing to buy. There are many coins that has potential but most investors prefer the popular coins to invest with. In my portfolio I have btc, eth, bch, ltc and IOST these coins for me has potential to give me profit when I hold it for long period.

It depends in you... you have to check to the main idea of project and if you need to win , you must go on a good coin such as bitcoin and ether then start investment
I would probably look at Neo and Wan right now, they have at least 10x potential in a good market (because their Ath was there)

Better find your own altcoins to invest on by researching and analyzing the market. Asking suggestions from people over here will just give you biased answers. They will always tend to support coins they have invested on even if its a worthless coin. The best thing to do is select some trending coins and filter out the coins that "you think" has good potential. Invest on those.

he is not asking for a coin that is good for trading, trading coin and holding coin is very different there are trading coin that is not good for holding for a long period of time and since he is asking for an investment coin we should recommend a coin that is fit for a long term holdings.

Its not bad that the price of the ETH is 170 , the price will rise !My advice is don't join in any ICOs atm, almost all of their token are below than ICO price when those listed on market.

There are about below 2k numbers of tokens and coins listed in the coinmarketcap, so i think you need to check it one by one, which is applicable for you to invest, but you should also focus on the top 10 which i think is the most traded and liquidated types of coins.
Buy Ethereum before it's too late it has already begun to grow and I think that it can not be stopped !
