Hello dear guest, since I do not really understand cryptocurrencies, but I really want to invest in them, I want to know who prefers what cryptocurrencies and what potential do you see in them?
If you have lack of knowledge then buy only altcoins which are supported by rich companies. Yes, it is hard to find such companies in crypto sphere.
But I know one. It's Kamagames (check them on google). This company makes>50M USD sales every year on its mobile social casino games. Soon they will start public pre-sale; so join in order to get x11.
The altcoin that I have confidence in the growth potential and promises more breakthrough in the future. It's Dash, EOS, IOTA, LTC. and can not forget ETH, although it is causing a lot of disappointment this year. But I believe it will soon come back.
It sounds obvious, but in the present circumstances best token - is USDT 
USDT has many problems, USD is better. 
I think every investor will have their own list of promising coins, but I'm sure that such coins should be everyone:

it is better if you will do some research by your own every person here has different insight to the crypto industry, some wants to buy the existing coin in the market, some wants to hold a coin that is recently listed in the exchange. People has different strategy in buying coins so it is better to hear yourself in this matter.

Cryptos continue to fall. Significantly weakened ethereum, the largest bitcoin competitor, and also other altcoins, are downward. Nevertheless, i would divide the investment by these percentages - 70% bitcoin and 30% other altcoins. To investments in altcoins i would assign Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Stellar and also Cardano. In these cryptos i see potencial and i consider their future to be bright as they belong to the top 10. At the moment everything is falling, so you should still wait for a lower price of altcoins.

I suggest you look over for coins like Stratis, waves, and ripple. These three are cheap altcoins and have the capability to grow in the future. It also has a good project development behind it.
First of all, AltairVR - very perspective coin in vr world, then Cardano (ADA) - it is almost very good project, NODE - american mining project, WBT - Whalesburg project from russian miners, STM - Streamity project for all cryptocurrencies, Aelf and VERA tokens too.
