Bitcoin is the best example of cryptocurrency and there’s no problem on that because if those people continue to learn more about cryptocurrency then I’m sure they will hear Altcoins and that’s the time for them to study it as well. Cryptocurrency is not just about bitcoin but since its popular, many news are more on bitcoin. Promote cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology, just use the example that is more realistic and not just about the full hype.
To my little knowledge on cryptocurrency there are altcoins for a lot of uses, some for medical use, some for advertising, some for gaming and so on.
They make people seem to believe that the token they've made are only focused with that use. But honestly, every coin can be used for these purposes but you just have to choose the right coin for it. Just like in Bitcoin/Ethereum, it's a known top choice for payments and also there's BNB now.With people having interest in this areas to spread cryptocurrency we can take advantage of this opportunity it doesn't have to be all about Bitcoin all the time.

You shouldn't generalized altcoins to be boosted, not all of them are good to boost. We already have plenty of crypto's that can play this role and the perfect one is bitcoin. If you are actively using Facebook and if you are in different crypto-related groups. You will notice that some altcoins were being promoted there, and some users missed that bitcoin is the king of all, they know more about altcoins than bitcoin.

we can not introduce altcoin directly to those who are not familiar with cryptocurrency because it is confusing for them. that is why when we are promoting cryptocurrency, it is all started with bitcoin as a principle and then we can start introducing altcoin to them.
they need a basic to get to know about altcoin, we can not force them to understand altcoin without letting them know about bitcoin. do it step by step, right now there are a lot of people joined and participated in the altcoin project. they were all started it because of bitcoin.
Don't rush out with complicated explaination when promoting cryptocurrency, always start with the basics with simple bitcoin as an asset. There are a lot of good projects and altcoins out there and as much as majority hate them, they could really bring people to cryptocurrency. Specially in the field of medicine, there could be altcoins right now that can really close the gap specially regarding medical records.
But sad to say that most of the people here wanted to get rich and doesn't care about the fundamentals behind.

Because of the developer's lack of responsiveness on their projects, we have seen thousands of dead coins now, they create a coin for one industry, people will invest on it, thinking that the industry will benefit because of that coin after they are funded they run away with investor's money.

That can be done when the team is really transparent to the investors. You can see that ethereum has already opened its way for everyone who can help the team to create a proper solution to fix the existing problem. But the majority of the new platforms are never doing anything even to create a transparency report about the project. That's impossible to happen caused by the fact that the altcoin team itself can't be trusted. Investors are always welcome for that but the altcoin team itself always make their own solution without doing the more democratize solution just like doing a vote or open a public GitHub.
