Cannon fodder won't help. The Americans will destroy targets from afar. When they destroy all the infrastructure, the army will surrender itself. You forget how they fled Saddam's army. The main thing that Trump doesn't.
Read up. The North Koreans are fucking psychos who would probably fight until the very last kitten. There is no parallel with anything Middle Eastern. The entire country is an engine for war.
They're constantly finding new invasion tunnels dug into South Korea. The countryside will be riddled with hides and bunkers. Even if there's no more command there would still be guerrilla fighting everywhere.
They may be tiny and have crap weapons but they're fuelled by pure, burning hatred.
But americans never really cared about collateral dmg (south korea, japan).
That is the reason why south koreans and japanese are really scared about the US going in solo.
Retaliation would hit the South and then Japan.
That is why we need the chinese.
If the chinese would agree to work with the US both could probaly pacify north korea in less then one month.
Chinese and US special forces would take over nuclear missile silos while kim would be executed/sent into exile and replaced by a different leader.
The happy end would be a unification of north and south.
