I just wanted to thank everyone again for such a great turn out for year 1 of this contest. It far exceeded my expectations, to say the least! I’ve reached out to Theymos so he can put the finishing touches on the results, so stayed tuned for the winners to be revealed!

(Please note moving day comes for me tomorrow (lucky me lol), so my communication may be limited over the next couple of days)

Posted this in the other contest thread..

There are contestants in this particular contest whom are private messaging members who they don't even know trying to get them to vote for their work.  I specifically said no manipulating of votes in any way, no begging for votes etc.  I believe I'm going to disqualify this person but not sure if that's the exact course of action to take.

What I can/will say for right now, STOP IT.  Do not randomly bug people to vote for you.  It's against the rules of the contest as well as against forum rules.

That beggars belief that people would do that, but yea I suppose there are cheaters everywhere.

I know there are finalities to do with Theymos but there is a clear winner.

Great competition and well done to ChiBitCTy for hosting.

Sweet Pumpkin Carving Competition was organized on the occasion of Halloween festival last October 31 with the efforts of some wise and knowledgeable members of our forum.  Which is very colorfully done.  Today the best contestants of that carving competition will be selected.  Those who have done the best work will be selected today.  With only a little time left, 166 voters have cast their votes so far.

Below is the short list of those leading the polls.

1. taufik123   - 33 (19.9%) winner
2. rat03gopoh   - 17 (10.2%) 2nd position
3. BigBos   - 15 (9%) 3rd position
4. LFC_Bitcoin   - 13 (7.8%) 4th
5. Rigon   - 10 (6%) 5th
6. xsyren   - 8 (4.8%) 6th

@ChiBitCTy Thank you very much, because of your efforts we were able to participate in a competitive workshop.  We look forward to your efforts next year.

@JayJuanGee sir , We are more thankful to you that gave your time from the beginning to the end to make the competition more lively.

Little bit of time left to get in your vote if you have not already!

Keep in mind once the voting closes the votes will not necessarily reflect our exact winners until Theymos goes in and implements these two things “  1) only Member+ votes will count, where copper membership does not on its own count as Member; and 2) users who haven't made a post in the year between the time of this post and 1 year ago will not be counted”.

The more and more I look at all of these pumpkins the more difficult it becomes trying to decide which are mj favorite. Next year (if we decide to do this again) I will certainly make sure to allow for maybe 3 votes per person, or something like that.  All the talent that went in to so many of the pumpkins makes me feel pretty bad about myself lol.

taufik123 out here, absolutely killing it.

Thanks to anybody who voted for me but I don’t deserve it. Many better efforts than mine, I appreciate the love though.

It means a lot.
We all here, have amazing work especially you @LFC_Bitcoin with a very good seeded pumpkin variety.

This contest once again proves that many forum members have good work and some of them are talented.
I just carved the pumpkin with my imagination, giving it a unique touch, and each participant had their own unique thing applied to the pumpkin.

at the beginning of the entry, I forgot to include my imagination on the devil fruit "Gomu-Gomu" which I fully poured into the pumpkin carving work.
this is indeed the right seasoning and will make it even more delicious.

I always have a guideline that every work I make must have a philosophy on the theme being contested. Creating a work without something unique and interesting and without a story will look bland and unimpressive.
Strive to "Out Of The Box" in every work

These comments about what you were inspired by when carving a pumpkin add charm to the result of your creativity. Frankly, at first I did not immediately pay attention to these swirling patterns on your pumpkin, but the result turned out to be very interesting in its own way. It's one thing when it's just a carved pumpkin, and quite another when the author explains such important nuances. This afterword adds "the right spice to your dish", but it would be even better if you communicated it right away by posting the first photo with a pumpkin. I would never have guessed that your pumpkin is related to a demon from an anime, but I confess that the combination of these two themes turned out to be excellent. Halloween demon pumpkin - what could be more terrible. What would it be called? Demon Pumpk-pumpk? Smiley

Nice to see so many members participating here!
As promised, I've left a good amount of Merit for valid submissions. I really didn't expect how many members will participate here, so it took over 2 hours to review submissions and distribute almost 400 Merit.
Great job everyone and many thanks to ChiBitCTy for organizing this pumpkin carving contest.  Smiley

There should be a Pumpkin Badge 🎃 along with the Art badge 🖌️ and the Pizza 🍕 badge

Would be nice to introduce a pumpkin badge.  Cheesy

The pumpkin is thicker than other fruits to carve. It was also the first time in my life to carve fruit, after previously I only carved in wood for some furniture decoration.
It seems that we are in the same country which is full of traditions.

Where I live the Halloween tradition doesn't exist, I only see it on television shows and in family movies. But this time I was able to participate in the Halloween special pumpkin carving contest it was an amazing experience.

My expectations at first would not be as lively as this, but after a few days I posted many new participants had started entering, although there were some who did not use pumpkins (there were any pumpkins available in some places or regions) so they used other fruits.

The inspiration for the carving that I applied to the Pumpkin Fruit was the carving that I found on the "Gomu-Gomu" Fruit (Demon Fruit in the Anime Movie "One Piece"). simple doodles but good enough for a pumpkin.

Thank you to all participants and everyone involved, this is a great contest.

Best regards for everything.

Your keys, your responsibility
Your list is definitely all favorites of mine, but being a big Marvel fan I had to go with rat03gopoh’s Vemom.

Man, I'm touched. It was made wholeheartedly, haha...
Tbh, was the first time I've carved a pumpkin especially how to create a gradient effect in the carving when it is illuminated.
Luckily I used to carve fruit years ago, it wasn't difficult to guess the thickness and texture of the pumpkin which was almost the same as the fruit in general, so it only needed one type of cutter.

Yep, you know the wedding tradition in my country,
decorations are made this way (called "kembang mayang").

A fun profession before it finally came out completely as it
was considered old-fashioned and replaced with a new and
instant model. This event is nostalgic for me. Unfortunately,
the Halloween tradition in my country isn't as lively as in other countries.

Anyway, thanksfor your vote @ChiBitCTy and good luck to all contestant.
Let's have fun... Wink

It's an honor to be one of your favorites. I'm happy this year I can participate even though the pumpkin I got is quite difficult.

Whatever the result, thank you for
@ChiBitCTy for the event, congratulations on running all the stages well.

You are asking to pick one which is a torture for me LOL. Fourth time I wanted to vote for one. But I could not.
But this time I was able to make a shortlist.

I like my boy LFC_Bitcoin and many others such as lovesmayfamilis, GigaBit, Ryu_Ar1, ajiz138, smartaction, KrispyKrypto, xSlyy, Shaha98, xsyren, Dubaian including so many more.

I will try next time to shorter it again.

I know, very hard to decide. If I run this again next year, which being so well received I likely will, I’ll allow something like 3 votes per user.

So many great entries! My favorites are:
1. KrispyKrypto
2. polymerbit
3. BigBos
4. geophphreigh

I was going to ask who your favorite was. So many of the entires are really well done. Your list is definitely all favorites of mine, but being a big Marvel fan I had to go with rat03gopoh’s Venom.

With a large margin in the Pumpkin Carving Contest, taufik123 is in the lead (25% votes) and the closest rival scored ~10% votes, judging by the preliminary data. I assume that the leader is unlikely to change during the week of voting, because, according to my observations, the majority cast their votes in the first days. Of course, some forum users will vote in the coming days, but their number will be smaller and it is unlikely that their votes will affect the final result. Therefore, I will very carefully congratulate the favorite on his pumpkin.

Now he will not only take all the prizes in art competitions, but also in the pumpkin competition. Smiley

Yes taufik123 should get a Pumpkin badge "If they win!!!!"

There should be a Pumpkin Badge 🎃 along with the Art badge 🖌️ and the Pizza 🍕 badge
currently held by fillippone!

Imagine being able to amalgamate all three badges, that would be something although
