I am sorry OP, but you don't have a case against the casino. You registered, played, and won while in Lithuania. The territory is on the restricted list and so you shouldn't have played there. It's easy to say that you should have read the Terms and Conditions because it makes me sound like a smartass, but that's how it is sadly. It was your responsibility to do so. I think you are lucky that you managed to withdraw those $10k before they noticed who you are and where you are from.

It's also true that players in restricted countries shouldn't have access to the casino or that a warning message should be displayed to the residents trying to access the site from there. I created a thread several years ago, and found that there are casinos that allow you to register and play despite a banned country IP. I think that is malicious behavior. And yes, casinos will gladly take your money regardless of if you are in a banned or allowed territory. I would punish them with hefty sums if it was up to me.

That still doesn't make your mistake any less of a mistake, so I don't believe the casino owns you anything. You were just unlucky choosing a casino and winning a big amount where you weren't supposed to.

and your device's geolocation during this timeframe
When the system noticed that OP was from Lithuania? What was his IP location when he created the account?

Yes, they are scammers.
They have scammed you as you tried to cheat them, isn't it? We have no way to verify whether you changed your IP address or not before creating your account. But you tried to highlight 'Poland' over Lithuania in your posts here, which is interesting. Punt team said that their system noticed you are from Lithuania and restricted your account after confirming it through KYC verification. Wasn't it your responsibility to read the terms before Signup?

1. I was in Lithuania on the night of registration and winning, I have indisputable proof, this is a selfie photo holding my driver's license, a sheet with the date and my house in Lithuania in the background. This is easy to prove.

2. I agree that I made a mistake by not reading rules, but they allowed me to register, communicated with me via live chat, allowed me to deposit and withdraw money and only blocked me after winning. It's both our fault because if I hadn't won this max win I could have lost 100k+ and no one would have blocked me

Therefore, I think it would be fair to take at least some responsibility and pay out at least part of the winnings

P.s And only after my win, Lithuanian IP addresses to this casino were banned

Yes, they are scammers.

They let me sign up, let me deposit multiple times, live chat with me and still didn't warn me and let me play.

If I had lost 100k USD, the story would be the same.

I think that an honest business should also take responsibility.

But punt.com is a scam and I don't think they will be around for long.

Yes, I'm an asshole
I was still in Lithuania on the night of registration and winning, they have confirmed that themselves.

I was in Poland the day I published this post.

I don't think it changes anything. Punt.com is a scam, they are free to communicate (or don't want to) and they don't have money to pay out winnings.

So don't play punt.com!

Ahh, I see. So, it's safe to say that the Poland part was quite irrelevant to this story.

Sadly, there's not much we can do about this. Yes, to be fair, I'd say it's rather annoying that Punt did not give you a warning banner when you tried to access them in the first place [I'll take your words for granted that the pop-up message logfiles pointed out wasn't there when you signed up], but you've unfortunately agreed to [and breached] their ToS, of which allows them to take their decision, and it should be gambler's duty to check the restricted countries on the first place.

I don't think there is much we can do about this. Suppose you raise a flag, I don't think it'll get any support by DT, due to the fact that they did not scam you.

Yes, real ones. When they blocked my account, they also started throwing me this table, but before this max win, there were no warnings, etc.

I will just repeat once again that punt.com recognized that my geolocation was Lithuania during registration, but they allowed me to register, make 4-5 deposits, make 4-5 withdrawals and only after a big win, they thought of banning me from withdrawing money.

Are you for real?

Because when I did try changing my IP address to one of those banned countries using my VPN. A notification containing a message that punt is not available in my country appears and won't let me even register an account

Yes, I'm an asshole
Usually, casinos that do not operate in my region do not allow registration on their site and inform me immediately.

I will admit, I did not read the rules, because there were no red flags that this casino does not work in my country.

A little later, after the first deposits, I saw the first red-flags: their twitter was blocked, bad reviews on trustpilot, problems withdrawing 10k usdt

In any case, the fact that the casino allowed me to make even a few deposits, communicated with me in support (and did not warn me), made withdrawals (even 5) - does not exempt them from responsibility.

If there was this big win. I would not be blocked and would continue to be allowed to deposit money,

so punt.com is a scam!

[...]

Can you please help us with more information regarding your location as I asked? Were you in Poland when you first signed up? Though unintentional, you might have bypassed their geoblock, in a literal way, by being present in perso in other un-restricted country, not with VPN, and they couldn't know you're from Lithuania based on the geolocation given by your IP.

As you have already seen, Punt.com's twitter is suspended, so I, as a "happy customer" help them advertise, their new soc. network accounts:

I don't live in Poland, I just do business there.
In this case, you made the mistake by playing at Punt.com despite being a resident and citizen of a restricted country. Punt.com is a Curacao licensed casino, Lithuania is in the restricted countries list of the casino since so long. And the casino reserves the right to request KYC documents at any time. You have created an account there and played with a decent deposit despite knowing these things. Or had you ignored the terms before creating your account?

I once had the same problem with duelbits.com, but they still paid me full winnings after freezing my account.
Lithuania isn't in the restricted countries list on those casinos which you have mentioned in your posts (Duelbits, 500play, BC.game).

Aside from whatever their rationale was in not paying you, baffled and trying to understand something. What made you visit Punt.com out of all the other casinos out there? Lot of red flags on first glance, and I don't understand why one would.

Sorry to hear about your experience

Why was I allowed to play? Why did you approve my first payments when you saw my location?

[...]

I understand correctly that you were in Poland when you signed up, as well as when you do your first withdrawal? Thus, it'll rather be difficult for them to know you're Lithuanian, since Poland is not on their Restricted Jurisdiction. I am not defending them, but it is worth to mention that knowing a ToS of a gambling platform [or at the very least, their restricted jurisdiction] should be one of the first thing a new user do before signing up, especially for those who aren't new to gambling platform as they would know jurisdiction dispute is a common occurence.

I am currently in Poland, but I live in Lithuania and I am Lithuanian. [...]

After withdrawing 10k USDt, I had problems, I wrote to support, they checked my account and really saw what location player is from.
They are supposed to know the country where you are from... You expected them to turn a blind eye to that?  Grin

Much as I don't like how these casinos operate (First let the player register, deposit and lose ----> No problems. Deposit and win ----> problems, they now need to know where you come from through KYC) You should also make sure you know if the casino ban players from your Jurisdiction or not.

And as could be expected, we did not get an answer to any of the questions. Why was I allowed to play? Why did you approve my first payments when you saw my location?
This is a serious allegation and they have the information to properly counter your allegation. They didn't block you first and you were able to withdraw your winning funds without any hassle. But now when you got a big win they did maximum research to prevent your withdrawal and they got their expected proof about your citizenship.

Because it definitely begs the question, your country is banned in this casino so why did they let you play in the first place, didn't they track your location then? Or because of your huge winnings, you have to face this problem in this casino?

I honestly think that punt.com casino does not have enough capital to pay out winnings of this size.

After withdrawing 10k USDt, I had problems, I wrote to support, they checked my account and really saw what location player is from.
We are not supposed to know whether they have capital or not, and we have no means of knowing this. But in your case they have valid evidence to counter your allegations, so they can come up with this excuse to protect themselves. This kind of activity is nothing new, as long as you keep losing they will not stop you in any way, but when you win big they will appear with different excuses. And this is another perfect example.
