I'm now watching that movie and have to ask was the quality good to the end? Just hate it when it turns to crap right near the end lol

We have finished scraping a few links from public torrent sites to start off the second demo with. Please report any issues and feel free to start submitting new content to the site.


Steps to submit new content

-Register an account at www.PureVidz.net
-Click 'Manage' in the top right near the search bar to submit or review
-Click 'Upload Torrent'
-Enter the magnet link and title of what is being submitted and then click 'search'
-Based on the title you will see what we think you are submitting. Select the correct item and then click 'Confirm'
-You will now see a preview of the data we've scrapped for that item (poster, title, tags, description). Assuming they are correct, click 'Submit Torrent Movie'


This will return you to the previous page where you can view all content you have submitted to the site as well as its status. Until your submission is verified it will show as [Pending]. While pending you can still click the play button to check the video and make sure it is working and you can share this link with your friends immediately. Approval simply means that it will be included in the homepage, search results and the recommended videos feed.

Global Bounty

During the beta period there is a 1,000,000 VIDZ global bounty placed on all approved content submitted to the site. Each video is worth 10 points, each episode of a television show is worth 1 point. The total bounty will be distributed based on the amount of points you have earned during the beta period.

This means that if 10,000 points worth of content (1,000 movies for example) are submitted tot he site and you submitted one, you will receive 1,000 VIDZ for your contribution (1/1,000 of the total bounty is yours). The purpose of this global bounty is to help us bring in members of existing torrent communities and to jump start the website with fresh exciting content to test our systems with.


Demo 3

You will notice that while demo 2 is a significant step forward, it is not complete. Demo 3 will be launched next weekend and will include many extensions of the current functionality. The reason that they are not included in demo 2 is because for them to be properly tested, there needs to be a significant amount of content already on the site. This week will give time for those we've contacted in torrenting communities to start submitting data which we can use to test the improved site.

Demo 3 includes the following features/improvements.

-Advanced Search: Search by actor, filter by genres/tags/ratings, specify movie/tv.
-Submit and browse Television: Allow users to submit an entire season or series as one torrent rather than having to submit one for each episode. Single episode releases will also be supported.
-Related content: When watching a film, it will suggest up to 5 other movies with similar tags to help you discover new content.
-Homepage listing movies by tags: action/drama/scifi/etc.

Sounds good to me. I'm keeping an eye on this project anyway so hopefully I don't forget and I'm around next week to see the progress.

Just took a look and I've started watching Wardog which seems like its a nice quality so far, people have already started uploading!

The beta 2 allows users to submit content to the site and enables the bare bones of our submission, review and searching options.

There will be a significant update to beta 2 in the next week once content is submitted enabling suggested items, advanced search and television.


We are still making minor changes but the second demo is online now and we've already reached out to a couple of torrent groups to get them to submit some content so we can get down to testing. In a few hours once we finish the rest of our testing and a few items have been submitted and confirmed working then we will update the OP and make a full announcement covering the new features of beta 2.

I must have missed it seeing the beta2 will be so close around the corner. These guys get the work down that is needed thats for sure.
Ofcourse assuming it is just around the corner,what will the difference be between one and two then does anybody know?

How? Hosting a private / open torrent site is not really a same level of a crime as hosting a site where devs are openly buying / selling and distributing torrents. That's why the whole warez scene is nonprofit. I am starting to think that you are overly gullible. Or jusr a newb in this.

Im starting to think you're overly paranoid.

If devs start to pay for pirated stuff, they are incriminating themselves into this. And if they get caught, penalty will be a multiple clusterfuck for them instead of a penalty for just hosting links to torrent videos.


"Nice graphics" ? That's just horrible.

Goes to show nice graphics doesn't equal good product, demos on the other hand are an indicator the dev knows how to do more than just release a wallet like that Vidio crap.

Its not the same thing but even still id like to make sure the devs are not going to go that direction. I dont think they will tho because of the escrow process and they do seem to have a deep desire to build this and make it profitable.
We will see what the dev replies to you.

That's not the reaction I was expecting but I dont think it's a scam. the majority of the btc are in the miltisignature wallet. but maybe the dev should do a daily transfer at a prestated time so we can keep an eye on it.

Still watching this but noticing that 3.3BTC are shown as invested on the sites main page but only 2.75753698BTC are in the multisignatutre address. Why?

I think there will be a bounty from the dev fund to populate most of the site but if people want something they cant get somewhere else then they could put up a bounty. I hope you dont need to pay to watch, I think its just pay to get a specific series or movie.
