Absolutely! Putting money in lottery is gambling too. The lottery result is unpredictable.
Lottery is for sure gambling when you buy any lottery ticket you spend money in case of not winning you simply loose money and there is nothing to get back in return. This is gambling too where you win or loose in the end as there no middle state. Lottery works same then why it can be different than gambling.
Yes 100% yes if you are putting money in lottery is already considered as a gambling when you are playing with money then it's already a gambling every time you are going to involved money in some activities like investment, trading , etc it's already a gambling taking up the risk.
There is nothing to say contrary in this regard because putting money in lottery is also gambling. I will go one step further by saying anything where you put your money at stake whether it is small amount or less and you purposes to win more that is purely gambling. People don't consider buying lottery tickets as gambling but reality is reality.

Lottery really have a very big jackpot price and you are a damn very lucky person if you win that even just once in your lifetime because as what they are saying: you have more chances of getting hit by a lightning than a chance of winning a lottery. Sports betting has more chance of winning but not as big as lottery winnings - I would rather go for sports betting than lottery though!
Yes I agree that sports betting has a higher percentage of winning and you can always win as long as your familiar with the team in sports.. I believe there's a higher price in bets that can be offered abd not as high as in lottery. Like here in country lottery can offer as high 100 million in our currency.

I think it is a gamble, and when you play something and risking something in it, meaning you're gambling. so when you put money in the lottery, I think you're gambling, especially if you win, I think you'll get a prize very much because the stakes
Yes putting money in lottery is also gambling it is a type of gambling in which you bet your money for others money and no one will know who will win the lottery. The same happen in the end that one win the money and the other one lose all of his money to him.
Lottery though sometimes can be seen as different from gambling, since lottery is a sort of game where we are playing with many players while gambling is something that just needs luck. In lottery maybe you can buy more tickets and higher your chances, yet I think its lottery since it also needs luck.

i even go as far as saying you are better off playing dice games on a provably fair site. because you have control over everything and you can change the chance of winning, you can increase the multiplier to mimic the situation with lotteries or decrease it to have a better chance. and do it all in a provably fair place where you can check if it was your luck or not.

Actually gambling is the core of gambling and its the oldest form of gambling, I can still remember when I was a kid around 10 years old there was a lottery my relatives used to participate in. They all the time used to do so and hence I think gambling or matka is the oldest form of gambling.

Even if you buy a lot of tickets you still just gamble with a higher probability. The result (who wins) is contingent and unpredictable. So how can this not be gambling? And, yes, I think you'll (or already are in a way) get addicted to it. So I strongly recommend you not to start. I remember reading once that a chance of winning a lottery is lower than the chance you won't be killed by something while going to buy tickets.

That is the attractive of lottery. It is to attract people by it huge payout while you only need to risk very little. The odd is ridiculous low so you dont expect much from it and even if you lose you wont feel the pain. That is why some people love lottery a lot.
