I just noticed this coin at the newly added coins on coinmarketcap. People are tired and fed up of all the Bitcoin forks now we have gone to Monero forking? First I saw Monero Original and now Monero Classic? All the features you mentioned as the reason of creating this fork has already been incorporated in most of the active 1584 existing and active coins in supply. There is no visible team backing the project, little or no information to be able to access the abilities and skill set of the development team. This one is big no for me. I don't see any viable reason why this coin should exist

Hi XMC people,

I just discovered this fork.
So I get it, your argument pro-ASIC is more security, since an attack isn't as easily done with a botnet, instead you need to invest in specific hardware which usually is a game-theoretic -EV game, right?

1. I was wondering how many developers you have and if there are any other plans to distinguish this project from XMR?

2. Is there a light-client?

3. Oh, and can someone direct me to a guide how to securely claim your XMC from the fork? I know the general safe procedere but would be nice to have guide.

Thanks for any helpful answers.

1. We have a team of core developers, and a community of volunteers contributing to this project. We've released XMC wallet gui for Windows. At the moment, we're developing XMC wallet gui for Linux and Mac.There will be plan to add Lightning Network and more features to XMC.

2. As the main focus at this phrase is the wallets for PC, there is no light client at the moment.

3. Steps to claim XMC.
1) Make a copy of wallet file.
2) Create a new address with XMC wallet.
3) Send XMC to the new XMC address.
4) Download wallet software v0.12.
5) Create a v0.12 address.
6) Import the copy of wallet file (copy you made in step 1) to v0.12 wallet software.
7) Send XMR from v0.12 wallet to the v0.12 address

Well, nice try. But there Website is 1 page and this one is totally scam..... but some guys are buying it, I just saw $7,= , so enought fools who believe a 1 page website

The information we displayed on monero-classic.org is announcement and basic info of Monero-Classic. We plan to upgrade this website in a few days to include more information.

While if you paid some attention to Monero-Classic (XMC) team, you should know what we established are not just a website. Why do you just ignore anything else we did and give such insult?

Except for the users, there are many pools mining XMC, maybe you should ask them why.

I understand your concern, but if you paid some attention to Monero-Classic (XMC), you should know that we're actively pushing things forward.

1. XMC has been listed on gate.io and CoinEx. We also confirmed coin listing with another Exchange, the announcement will be released soon.
CoinEx:

2. You can also find information about XMC on:
CoinMarketCap https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero-classic/
Feixiaohao https://www.feixiaohao.com/currencies/monero-classic/
CoinGecko https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/monero-classic#panel
Coinlib https://coinlib.io/coin/XMC/Monero+Classic
Bitgur https://bitgur.com/coin/XMC

5. Monero-Classic exists for our belief and supporters.
We all know Monero team initiated this hard fork to be “anti-ASIC”, and protect the decentralizaiton of Monero as they announced. As is stated in our announcement, we believe the emergence of specialized mining machines for a cryptocurrency is a normal market economy phenomenon and it could greatly improve network security. With specialized mining machines , the events like “Monero was attacked by more than 500,000 botnets” could be avoided. On the opposite, frequent change of algorithm creates more centralization.
Supporters of Monero-Classic:
Community: AMT community, LoMoStar community
Mining pool: AntPool, Poolin, FrogPool, 91pool, F2POOL
Exchange
: CoinEx, gate.io, Xstar
Wallet: LoMoStar

take your asic shit and stick it deep into your ass...hope nobody will support this shit

I also share this opinion, BUT: less insults and more constructive critism may be appropriate.
All of this Bitcoin x, Litecoin x, Ethereum x, [Insert well-known currency] x, while [x=cash, lite etc,...] just try to use the forked coin's reputation to mislead people into thinking the project is associated with the original project and in the end it's just an exact copy of the original without any innovative changes. What will be next? Bitcoin Cash Lite? Bitcoin Cash Lite Cash? Forkception is near.

Regards,
Nestade

What share of the market are they planning to get?
Not so sure about the market share. But with so many supporters and our belief to work with the original chain, I'm confident that XMC will be the one that stays and stand the test of time.
