I definitely agree with what you said.
England showed that they are still a team and yet they are powerful.
But with the passage of time, France showed that even with its restructuring, it proved that it is still a competitive team and has great chances of being the champions.
On the other hand, Brazil did not really show its potential, it played well, and at the moment I type this post, Brazil is beating South Korea 4-1.
With the possible game we will have against Argentina (I'm already guessing that Argentina will beat Netherlands and Brazil will beat Croatia).
Because with this possible game between Brazil x Argentina, we will see if the in fact has great chances or not to become champion.

By the way, France is in fact a great candidate to go to the final of this world cup, against Brazil or against Argentina.

Yes, I believe that along with Brazil, Argentina was one of the teams that also had some embezzlements, but I have no doubt that without Messi, Argentina is totally a vulnerable team.

It will be difficult for them to be able to stop France, but I imagine that if Brazil goes to the finals, they manage to mark Mpappe and play with their potential, I believe that Brazil will have a chance to win this world cup.

Brazil seems good on the paper and they got good results, especially the match that is being played right now against South Korea. Nevertheless I can't help but think something big is missing in Brazil. Something that make teams play big and play like champions. I cannot just see that in Brazil. They can beat Croatia and later the winner of Argentina-Netherlands and go on to the final, but the winner from the other side will probably champion IMHO. European football is declining in terms of viewing pleasure but still seems better than south american football teams like Brazil or Argentina. So, I think the winner of France-England game will go to the final and probably win the cup.

I was a little disappointed to see Croatia beat Japan in penalties.

Brazil take an early leas against Korea republic, with a nice finish from Vinicious Junior and great play from Raphinha leading up to goal.
The wave of the match favours Brazil already, they've been by far the better side and would grow in confidence after getting a goal before the 10 minute mark.

Korea has it all to do now, as they were already at a disadvantage even before the first whistle.

Brazil and South Korea face to face. The stadium is full of yellow shirts many Brazilian fans are in very big number.
I am supporting south Korea.
Earlier I supported Japan and they lost the game.. now I am supporting South Korea - I am afraid they might lose the game as well.

It's sad. I was rooting for them. They put so much heart in their game and were doing great. I wished to see them further along the way, especially that they managed to beat Germans. I don't like Germans and 2 things made me happy in the group phase: Germany losing to Japan and going home and Qatar being destroyed in every match.


I thought so until I saw them play against Saudi Arabia. Now I'm not so sure.

Argentina is one of the favorites in this tournament, I'm sure they will easily beat the Netherlands. But I'm not sure they will enter the final, because in the semifinals the Albiceleste will face Brazil and this exciting duel between teams from the concacaf zone will definitely be won by Brazil.

The ideal final in my opinion is Brazil vs Portugal. These two countries have almost similar football cultures and of course I would like to see Ronaldo in action in the last World Cup for him.

If you asked me a month ago I'd expect to see Germany and Belgium in one of the semi matches, but they both sucked. Out of the top teams Spain is also under performing, but England is doing great.
When it comes down to England vs France I'll bet on England. France is good but England played better matches in its group.
Despite very high expectations and Argentina shown to be lacking in this tournament. They had a relatively weak group and still had problems in some matches. Messi is good but he won't carry the whole team all by himself, so I don't expect them to win the tournament, but they should beat the Netherlands at least.

My favourite Japan has been knocked out.
I was betting on Japan - they performed so well - even into days match - they were running all the time
but it was croatia's luck today.

and Croatia in the second half managed to equalize the score from Japan. Croatia managed to score 1 goal through Perisic's kick.
Look, today's match was very tense and both teams are very strong in maintaining score and most likely will end in a draw.

Japan is already 1 goal ahead against Croatia which is the favorite to win on this match up. Japan manage to made a goal despite there shaky start and less ball possession against Croatia. Japan typically don’t score on first half and just later on persevere on 2nd half to make a goal. Croatia is now on a very tight spot on losing this elimination since Japan is very good on second half according to there previous matches on this world cup.

Japan goal was insane because I didn’t notice that Maeda is near the goal to finish the kick in out of nowhere. I’m still expecting that Croatia can recover because they already have a good start on first half.

Without Messi, I don't think Argentina is a strong team that will have a good chance of reaching the World Cup finals, but with Messi, they are a great team that can even win the competition. I also think Brazil and France are strong teams that can compete in this tournament final, but I think France will likely take home the trophy.

This world their are teams that are all showing quality performance , so it is hard to predict which team will cone out in the finals,  but I will prefer Brazil to reach the finals and to win the world cup. Brazil has more chances than other teams to win the world cup.

It's probable that they will face each others in the semi final since Spain didn't manage to end the group stage in the first rank. Now, we have a part of the table where european teams will meet each others if they continued their advancment in the tournament, and another part where we will likely watch Argentina against Brazil in the semi final. Therefore, the final will probably be between a european team and Brazil or Argentina. In this case, my own expectation is Brazil against France.

France, specially with Mbappe, has shown that it has a strong potential to win the world cup.

England also has shown they are a great overall team, and have scored plenty.

Brazil is so good in terms of skills that I think we haven't even seen them at their best yet.

Argentina... I would have expected more from them, I don't think they will end up in the final.

Portugal and Spain are alright, but also I don't see them in the final.

I believe that with the date we are at today, it will be a little bit easier for us to predict which teams are strong candidates for the finals of this world cup.

But... to be honest, I believe these finals could happen between France and Brazil.

If match is being fixed with England and France, it will be very difficult to understand and predict who the winner is going to be, because both teams are very strong to extend that they will be able play extra time and finally it will end by luck
And the winner will be merge by the luck of penalty, so in soccer game anything can be seen and i dont believe that the two team one can defeat each other without penalty

France was a great team,England was also great today,yesterday also Netherlands and Argentina,we have to wait to see tomorrow Brazil and after tomorrow Spain and Portugal but I agree,most likely Brazil will be the finalist as they have played compared to any other teams so far in this tournament.

Spain is a team with really young players so I exclude them to be the winners of this World Cup,they do not have the experience needed,also Portugal is great but not at levels like Brazil,so most likely it will either be Brazil,Argentina as the top contenders.

Seeing all teams performance is making me more sure that brazil will be the winner of this Qatar World Cup edition, in the beginning i was saying Argentina and Portugal but seeing them lose against low expected teams like Argentina failed to win  against Saudi Arabia and how they almost drew against Australia after they got so tired. While Portugal lost their last match against South Korea
One of these teams also might be in the finals but i will definitely put Brazil first to take the cup
