Germany is at critical stage to reach the finals. The team performed good, but the loss to Japan was really unexpected and a big damage to them. The loss happened in a very bad way, because Japan managed to score two goals at the end of the match and Germany doesn't have time to try. As mentioned England, Portugal, Spain and Brazil will be confirmed as they're at good position on the points table.

I really hope they won't qualify for the next round, with their actions wanting to wear the captain's armband that supports LGBT, making everyone angry with the action when posing to shut their mouths, and in the end they are defeated by Japan, of course it makes me happy to see it , talking about Brazil, Spain, Portugal, they deserve to advance to the next round, because they are superior to Germany, Germany does not have an attacker who can break down the opponent's defense which makes him experience defeat and in addition, Germany's defense is not up to expectations..

This world cup you never can tell who will win because their are clubs like Brazil that played better in their first game that have chance of winning the world cup. Portugal is another team that has a chance of winning too.

Germany wasted their qualification chances in the first game against Japan. Now the situation at the table is that Spain has the top with four points, followed by Japan and Costa Rica with three points, and Germany is at the bottom, with just one point from two games. The qualification is yet to be determined in the last matchups between Spain and Japan and Costa Rica against Germany. A win against Costa Rica will give them more probability of qualifying, but it will depend on the outcome of the other match between Spain and Japan. Only Spain’s victory will work for Germany, but they will also need a better goal difference from Japan group opponent.

I guess this thread was created before the England shitshow during their match against the United States? I don't think that either Germany or England would be able to reach even the semi-final stage this time. Germany had such a horrible outing against Japan. England did well against Iran, but they disappointed in the second game. IMO, the final will be between Argentina and Brazil. If both the teams top their respective groups, then they will come against each other in the semi-final stage. But since Argentina lost their match against Saudi Arabia, there is a chance of them finishing at no.2 in their group.

Teams like KSA, Morroco are like playing in home conditions thats why they are getting good results by beating teams like Belgium and Argentina. I am not placing any bet on who will be the winner because of too many upsets.

Is it common knowledge that the location of the world cup affects players and teams? Like the region of the host country is better for the country of that region. I am genuinely wondering. Personally, I don't expect such effect on the players and teams. They are the most elite players of the world, they shouldn't care where the games are being held. The surprise results of this world cup just happens because times change and football changes as well. Germany might have had a great reputation and titles but they can have a bad tournament or just not as good as before simply. I can't comprehend the home conditions that you mentioned. These are professional elite athletes. They will not be affected.

My prediction for the Final is that France most probably will be there. Second team is quite hard to predict. Biggest candidate seems like Brazil. But very hard to tell.

if I look at some of the seeded countries now being unseeded because of embarrassing defeats like argentina and germany, i speculate that brazil and france will be more likely to meet in the world cup final considering they are showing great games than the others, i think spain will fall in the top 4 and not sure spain will reach the final
