Now the transactions are accumulated in tx pool and assigned to blocks under new criteria, for example commission and median size. If your transaction doesn't fit the conditions (e.g. exceeds block median) it waits for another block and that's why the time for the transaction can increase to infinity. If your transaction isn't transferred within 24h it's returned to your wallet.

What to do if passed 24 hours and QCN wasn't transferred and didn't return in your wallet?

You must delete the 'wallet.bin' file. Pay attention! Don't delete the '.keys' file!

After this resynchronize your wallet. You must type the command in the simplewallet window:

the transaction, although it says was successful, was most likely not, and if you wait around 24 hours and do a refresh will probably show back up.
Or you can resync you wallet and they will be back as soon as the resync is done.

now if the transaction was successful and it is an issue with poloniex, then you have to work with them but most likely its not.

You were doing the upgrade and resynchronization. After that in the wallet window you should have an output similar like after refreshing when new transactions are found.

You were doing the upgrade and resynchronization. After that in the wallet window you should have an output similar like after refreshing when new transactions are found.

Then my transaction has not yet shown up at my exchange account, and it has been about 18 hours.

When I launch the wallet, it refreshes the blocks and shows that indeed the roughly 6 coins I sent are no longer in my wallet.

I shall check with the exchange to make sure they have updated correctly.
