Just downloaded from the link posted in this thread just a bit ago.
2014-Jun-18 10:37:27.415065 quazarcoin v0.8.9.65() <----- this is what is being reported when I execute the quazarcoind.exe

This is the resulting output once it starts up (and sorry for the length):

Sorry, I think I missed your question. What is your problem?

You can download blockchain.bin for easy sync, for example. What OS do you use?

Yes, the wallet_name.address.txt and wallet_name.keys in the same patch, if I understand you correctly. Could you please elaborate?

Also, when the quazarcoind.exe reports back these lines, that means it is fully sync'd to that point, yes? I notice a "unknown top block", but I don't know if that is indeed an issue.

Is it the same update I have just done from github or the next one?
EDIT: Answering myself: seems to be the same.

@kidyubyub: do the update and check now.
Remember cryptonote is still in the experimental stage and it is why you need to update so frequenly.
Appreciate devs are doing their job very close to your issues. Smiley

Mandatory update

Folks, download updating binaries! You should replace daemon&wallet files in the folder. Don't delete the '.bin' & 'bin.keys' files!

Temporary solved the issue with transaction.

Now the transactions are accumulated in tx pool and assigned to blocks under new criteria, for example commission and median size. If your transaction doesn't fit the conditions (e.g. exceeds block median) it waits for another block and that's why the time for the transaction can increase to infinity.

If your transaction isn't transferred within 24h it's returned to your wallet.

I understand a block carries out other transaction and this is normal.
Is it normal also some extra of my coins flow out from my wallet and get there back later?

When you send a transaction a random amount is charged. It depends on the quantity of inputs and it's always bigger then the amount you've specified. After the transaction is completed you recieve the overcharged amount back.

Sweet! I will give that a try and report back with outcome!

EDIT: I just remembered, I actually started from scratch, i.e., I renamed the Quazar folder in the Roaming folder and downloaded the blockchain again, which of course, also created a new poolstate.bin. Should I revert back to old blockchain with a new poolstate.bin?

Copying old blockchain.bin and p2pstate.bin could possibly speed up the process but don't think it affects the result. Give it a try.
I am not sure about the files locations on windows. Do you have still your wallet_name.address.txt and wallet_name.keys in the same patch they used to be?

You're in the process of blockchain sync and these reports show a wrong transaction which was rejected.

It's been about 12 hours and my transaction of 6.573440256958 coins has yet to reach my exchange account. Is it gone forever? Or just keep waiting?

Did you use any other version previously?
If so you may also need to backup&delete poolstate.bin file before resyncing.

Hello everyone, there is a thread discussion on what you would like to see in an open source GPU miner for Cryptonight algorithm coins. Please discuss what you would like to see in a GPU miner similar to Claymore's excellent miner  Smiley

Try to send at poloniex and bittrex....

Don't worry, you didn't lose your QCN.

Reward bug fix which I borrowed from MRO changed the transaction process. Now the transactions are accumulated in tx pool and assigned to blocks under new criteria, for example commission and median size. If your transaction doesn't fit the conditions (e.g. exceeds block median) it waits for another block and that's why the time for the transaction can increase to infinity.

MRO has a solution which I disliked worse then the bug fix. If your transaction isn't transferred within 24h it's returned to your wallet. But it's impossible to trace it since you're not notified. This is harmful for businesses that work with MRO (and potentially QCN).

I'm working on the reward bug and problem with transactions.

hmm it seems like my "wallet_name.bin" file is gone ...

You must create wallet with the same name as your '.keys' file.

For example, you've had grim.bin & grim.bin.keys & grim.address.txt files. Now you must type the command in the simplewallet:

Code:
simplewallet --wallet-file=grim.bin --pass=your_password

After sync you must type

Code:
refresh

&

Code:
save

commands.

Hi,

I was going to send 10 QCN but surprisingly spent 12.745 QCN instead.
Could anyone explain what has happened?

EDIT: the balance is all right now and this is not an issue anymore.
Anyway I'd like to understand what was going on, so am leaving the question.
Didn't make any trasnfer to my wallet recently, so why do I have received transactions?

In the wallet I have some balance locked. In the blockexplorer the transaction is for 12.745 QCN

The story form my wallet in text:

This is normal, the inputs never exactly match the outputs so it sends slightly more and you get some change back.
