Been in this forum for 10 years and completing 10 years is a big challenge because I respect him. Because he achieved five batches in 10 years of his hard work, it is very difficult to achieve. But may you live longer and enjoy your days on the forum.

Many many congratulations to you @Quickseller, I respect you a lot. Because it is not easy to spend 10 consecutive years in this forum, many things change in ten years. But you have contributed to the development of this platform by devoting yourself to this forum for 10 consecutive years. I respect you from my heart. And best wishes for your ten year celebration.

I noticed you and others like The Pharmacist, Pmalek, OgNasty and others I hardly see again in the forum.
I think you mentioned my name here by mistake. I am still very active and post on Bitcointalk every day. You must have confused me with someone else or we aren't reading and writing in the same boards, which is weird because you can find me posting all over the place. I prefer serious discussions about Bitcoin above anything else, though.
I think uchegod-21 is saying that Quickseller,  you, and those he mentioned were active when he was a newbie. However, there are still others that were also active in those days but he hardly sees again. Basically, he is not saying you are no longer active but other members who he noticed in his early days. I don't think any active members will see your post in some part of the forum. You are one of the most active members who has spent over a decade on this platform. Maybe only those who majorly post in the gambling board will not be familiar with your works.

You never see me posting around the forum?  I'm shitposting at levels that could only be reached by someone with a severe case of diarrhea these days.  Pretty sure my posting rate over the last year is higher than it's ever been by a wide margin, but who knows...  I guess if you stay out of the gambling or speculation sections I may not exist on this forum recently.

For anyone else who thinks I haven't been posting, I apologize.  I've been busy doing push-ups and watching basketball.  Feel free to join me in either.  Here's a link to get your started.

Wow, I remember this topic was self-moderated, how did you do it?
I removed the self-moderation by moving the thread to a section that does not allow self-moderation (meta in my case), and back here.
+1,
I haven't actually known this. It's quite good to have old users of the forum around because you guys have mastered here for a very long time.

Yeah I'm surprised too. Any chance you can sign a message from one of your old bitcoin addresses?
I probably could if it was a big deal. Doing so would involve buying a power cable for an old MacBook, so it would take a few days if I needed to. Either way, I am not planning on doing any kind of business.

I was actually addressing a dude that posted in your thread -- seems he bought his account. FWIW I don't think you lost control of your account, and I don't think it would be hired in any campaign or taken seriously if you were to launch your own product/service, so its probably not worth much. Feel free to prove me wrong though, that would be an interesting feat.

I'm surprised me too achieved this milestone.

Hi Quickseller!

Even tho our paths never have crossed I want to say congratulations to you for being a member here for a whole then years! And I have no idea what you have done in your past and I don't care either, we are humans and humans can change. It's not fair to judge someone for what they did in the past! Insead we should focus on what people do at the time now and what they are now not what they was in the past and did in the past! And don't worry that you have done mistakes in your past everyone done mistakes, that's part of being a human that's in our nature. I also hope one day I also can celebrate a ten year celebration here.

So  a big congratulations from me to you and may your future bring a lot of luck and joy!

yes, it's been a long time. I am still alive if you can figure out who I am. I left the crypto world as it was too toxic and slowly ruining my life. It's been a rough past few years for me especially once covid lockdowns hit and I've been through a lot mentally, physically, but I've been working on myself and things are slowly improving. Hope all is well and I wish you nothing but the best bro.

I didn't realize DarkStar_ had left the forum, so that's something I just learned.
His profile says he is on an extended break, and that there will be long delays in responses.

A lot of those members had strong presences here and established reputations, and I think they also added to the spiciness bitcointalk used to have some years ago, which for the most part is gone.
yes, a lot of those I mentioned were notable members when I remember them being here. Them being gone makes things feel very different.

By the way, if you wanted replies you probably shouldn't have made this thread self-moderated.  Just saying.
I didn't think self-moderation would be a big deal, and was done to prevent the spammers, and trolls, but I removed it a few days ago.

You missed TMAN on the list.
I thought about him, but given the fact that he was last active in March 2020, at the height of the pandemic, and last posted a month prior, I have long assumed that he may have been lost to covid. IIRC, he lived in Europe, which was pretty bad around that time. This is speculation, and I don't have any specific information about him.

It's good to see you around again QS. Time goes by really fast.
I hope you are in good mental health. Money can be lost and earned again, but health is more important than anything else. The more time goes by, the more I realize that. Enjoy your time.
Its nice to see you too EFS.

Just looked my 10 year mark here was a few months ago. Didn't even remember. Congrats on making it a decade.

Just had my 25th anniversary on another forum.

And dang I'm old just looked and had 30+ anniversary on another. Signed up when the only way to surf was a on Lynx which is a text only browser on a site (if you could even call it that) that had no name only IP address to get to it. But damn we traded a lot of hardware on it.

-Dave

I have not really been active on any other forum as much as I have been here. I have a reddit account, but I really have barely ever even lurked there. There's stack overflow, but I really am not even logged in when I search for something, so I am not even sure if I would consider myself to be a 'member' there.

Congrats on your decade here!

I can say however that my North Star has always been what I believed to be right at the time.

I see your honesty has not changed.  :/     You wrote many things you knew were not true, based on the politics at the time.

After I was promised help, I removed trust on you and left the forum.  (The offer of help was a lie so I came back).  I received PMs warning me against you.  Now I see they were correct- you are the same dishonest thief you were ten years ago.
I am not really sure what you are talking about. I see that you decided to leave a negative rating for me for this thread. I have not traded here in a long time, barely even post anymore, so the rating is not going to affect me. I hope it makes you feel better.

I'm willing to forgive and forget, but the first thing you could do to help that along would be to admit that PrimeNumber7 is your alt account.
Looking at the post history, it doesn't look like that account is very active here recently either. It looks like the post he made 20 posts ago was in June of last year.

Yeah I'm surprised too. Any chance you can sign a message from one of your old bitcoin addresses?

One other thing that I wanted to mention was the woodcollector saga. The dude was definitely misrepresenting that he was "hand carving" (or whatever the specific claim with his "hands" was) his pieces, but he did make interesting art pieces related to bitcoin. Once he was called out for his dishonesty, a lot of drama followed, and eventually, he turned into a very good troll. It was just one memory I have of the forum.

thank you to the others who I did not directly respond to.

Congratulations Quickseller. When I joined the forum 2021, you where still active than you are today. I noticed you and others like The Pharmacist, Pmalek, OgNasty and others I hardly see again in the forum.
Congratulations, 10yrs is huge to and worthy of celebration.

The world was turned upside-down due to covid.
It occurred to me one day that the world technically restarted after covid-19. Sadly many of our loved ones didn't make it to the new world.

I certainly have made mistakes during my time on the forum. I can say however that my North Star has always been what I believed to be right at the time.

Can someone who has stayed here upto 10 years make a thread about the old drama and politics that happened in the past. If older users leave all, we could miss and not pass the batton (history) to posterity.

A month ago it was 10 years since I participated in this forum. It's a bit unbelievable that I got here before the two of you, I always considered you as the basic furniture of this forum.

Wow, same goes for you as well!  Now I have to ask, if I was a piece of basic forum furniture, what kind would I be?  I picture a very uncomfortable, hard-backed chair that nobody would sit on unless they plopped a cushion on it.  And Quickseller?  I'd have to think a bit on that one.

I'm willing to forgive and forget, but the first thing you could do to help that along would be to admit that PrimeNumber7 is your alt account.

Lol.  Don't know if that's going to happen, but it'd be nice.  There's another alt of his I used to be familiar with but have long forgotten about since QS has been silent for so long.  Anyway, he never wronged me personally but I did leave him a neg for the self-escrow debacle (I think), and I'd certainly forgive and forget if there was some contrition on his part.  On the bright side, QS hasn't repeated any of that behavior, so that's a positive thing.

I have not been able to spend much time on the forum recently, certainly nowhere near as much time as I have in the past, and I am not sure I would remember to visit on my anniversary, so I figured I would create a thread today.

Not one to mince words, are you, Vod? His attitude sure left a bitter taste in your mouth and honestly it's good to be true about your feelings instead of burying it with fake words and a pretentious attitude but I guess there's the saying " let bygones be bygones" right? Maybe you can just bury the hatchet and let it go? At least he admitted to have made some mistakes he's not proud of which shows that he's a human after all.

To the op, @QS,  wow! Just as you said, when doing things you love you tend to forget how quick time can fly and all of a sudden it's ten years! Well, I won't want to make this sound like a eulogy but you deserve your flowers..I do not know you since I'm practically a noob where you are concerned but that won't stop me from congratulating you on your ten year milestone mark. Big ups, QS!!

@Quickseller, I thought you would never be seen here again, like them.

Sadly, many seem to have actually left the forum, despite that they say that no one really leaves. BadBear, tomatocage, shorena, Blazr, escrow.ms, DarkStar, monbux, redsn0w, devthedev, Lauda, Dogedigital, blazed, MadZ, Muhammed Zakir, marcotheminer, xetsr, dogie, Vod seems to have left, and somewhat recently returned. There are others I have forgotten. If you have left, and happen to read this, maybe you can stop by to say hello, lol.

Excellent, you are still given a long life and can visit here again. It's four years between me and you getting to know the community here, but I still know and remember when you became a celebrity on the reputation board in 2019, I remember that, it doesn't feel like 10 years have passed.

Good to see you back QS

Yeah if there was a special badge for being member for decade. I'm surprised me too achieved this milestone. Time is really flying too fast. Although I was only reader exploring different threads here and there and seldomly write/react to the things mostly. But I enjoyed a lot.

A decade around the forum is surely a long time. I have spent about 6 years now, and it seems like I have been here forever  Grin
In the past few months (probably 4–5 months ago), I noticed your reduced forum activity and wondered what you might have been up to. Anyway, glad to know that you are still around. At the end of the day, we are all just humans behind these usernames with different challenges in life outside the forum.
