Well, in the problem of analyzing the team on the fake existence, it matters as a human needs water to survive. While, to analyze their concept and market positions- obviously you will not need it.

Yes, this plays the role of transparency, because if the person is verified and probably well known, or at least known, there is almost 100% guarantee of that the project has not being faked.

I vote for yes, it is, because if you have a lazy team or scammers in that team then the probability of success is close to 0, I mean, if someone is working on something, he should work and not scamming other people. Smiley

ICO is good investment. But you choose the best project. If don't know how choose the best project. First learn the project and read the whit sheet. Then easy to choose the help to invest the best ICO project. Hold the project token. It long time to hold it. It increase the price day by day. Then you get more profit.

The team is the most important factor for a coin, as a team is which does most of the work for the coin and they decide which direction a coin goes. What if the team members of a coin are scammers? Where do you think the coin will end up going.

Team is very important and I usually check team members social media profiles and search for them in google. ICO's performance depends on how skilled and talented the team is. And also quick check helps to see if the team members were spotted at spam activities before.

Of course it is very important, to prove the person from the TIM that you must know facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or other biodata that explain someone from the TIM and check their photos through Photoshop whether it is original photos or Photoshop edits.

The team is always very important. I examine the team definitely. Trusted experts make the project successful.

It is also important to check if all the people mentioned in Whitepaper really work with this ICO. Contact them on Facebook or LinkedIn, look for info about their current work with the project or ask them in personal messages. It is OK to do so because nowadays the quantity of scam ICOs is extremely high.

The team can be trusted if the TOP members of the team have accounts in social networks, they are open long ago, there are a lot of subscribers and it is possible to track the career of the top project creators and the history of the project.

Of course this is important! The more professional the team, the more chances that the project will succeed. Another question is that sometimes it is difficult to assess their professionalism)

You can not pay attention only to the team. We must consider everything in complex: the idea, the finished product (the presence of at least a beta version), white paper, the number and distribution of tokens, the presence of escrow, and, of course, the team.

It will because how will you know that the team can deliver the expectation or what they promised for their project. It will also be the basis whether the ICO will deliver or just be another scam. This is also the basis of any company that will flourish.

In fact, the ICO project team plays the most important role and is the decision maker to invest in a project or not. The number of members, their experience, the real data, are crucial to the choice of projects.

I can't tell if this is a troll thread or not lol. Your poll says: "1/1"

An ICo's team matters nowadays because everyone basically sucks. I mean like, if you're looking at a coin that's an erc20 token, then you know they have 0 coding skills. I don't want to sound like a dick, but it's true. If they can't code their own blockchain coin, then that's already negative points. So you can assume they're not super great devs.

So if you see ERC20 token, immediately think that they have to either be great businessmen or revolutionary leaders. Because that's what's going to make or break that ICO. If it's some kid who just graduated college in Art History who's the CEo behind the ICO, then bail.

On the other hand, if you have a standalone coin built, and the dev is a mystery, then you can give that coin a little bit more of your time and patience. You can judge that coin by the code and function, rather than by the history of the dev team.

Does the team behind an ICO really matters when it comes to determining if the ICO is to be trusted or not?
Yes it really matters to them because everything that will happen to their projects during their ICO period will reflect to their name and image, everything including the response that comes from their participants including the investors and bounty hunters. The team will be the host and will be damaged if their ICO is a scam.
We should consider the team, as it is easy to do ICO but the team and the managing team should always be trusted always, we need a reliable team for us to join, it is also important besides from the team is their platform, the vision of their project if it is for long term or not.

If the team doesn't show their faces on videos but only pictures that itself on linkedin or in facebook profiles is something suspicious already.  I prefer to see the team members answering questions on youtube video kind a like an AMA even when a project is just in a developing stage like ICO.  But I'd start to trust them if they do. One example I can testify here is the bubbletone ICO, their team members really did a good marketing and show their faces on their youtube video like they hide nothing.

One of the no less important criteria in choosing a successful ICO is the team. Despite all the words about the professionalism of the team, in practice, the main guarantee of the productive work of the team and the success of the project itself is the faith and endeavor of each member of the team. You can buy a cool specialist, but sincerely devoted to the work of the employee - no. Therefore, when studying the information on the composition of the upcoming ICO team, remember the importance of such concepts as "belief in a common cause" and "devotion to the project". Because it is these characteristics that determine the chances of the campaign for the successful implementation of the set goals.

Yes, it plays a very important role and perhaps it is one measure of success of ICOs.
The real developer earns through reputations so he/she will not risk them to scam others.
Transparency and problem solving is the real measure of whether the campaign will sucess or not.
open-source and the clear plan is the confidence index of the project.
