We (several 100 or so) watched the forum day in & day out for several days waiting for the preorder to go live.We also scrimped together the BTC for the preorder,it was BTC only.

If you order a mini single, you get a slot dependednt on your order date (or previous order date).
If you ship all pre-orders within a month of release, and ship all subsequent orders within a day or two, I think people will stop caring about order numbers and queues. 
I really hope we won't see a repeat of the FPGA era, when for over 4 months, you shipped FPGAs much slower than advertised.

Actually it is the idea for us. The community has put a great value on queue numbers. Our intention is to ship great number
of units all at once, and I believe we'll succeed in doing so after all the experience have we gained in previous generation of single
and MiniRig production.

Already sent upgrade request from 2 japalenos to little SC, no answer ~ 2days. Must be overloaded.
If I upgrade my order of 4 jalapenos to a Little Single, I maintain my place in line, but will they be shipping these Little Singles in the initial shipment?
How they are going to keep track of who ordered what, when, upgraded from what, when and who is eligiuble for shipping when and the lottery is beyond me!!
We already have designed a CRM for our corporation. It dramatically simplified and improved our Customer Relations.

I upgraded from two different Jalapenos orders on two different dates in September to one mini single order keeping the first date of the orders. Got a Paypal invoice and paid the difference.
Availability:
The little singles are being produced in the same time as Jalapenos. To be fair, initially they will only be shipped to people that ordered Jalapenos before September 30th. So if you order a little single now, you need to wait till pre-orders are filled ... which I think is only fair.

I thought I read it somewhere that Josh said the little SCs will be available same time as jalapenos and the rest. That will help out with not trying to find hubs to power all 8 of those jalapenos haha.

I am assuming that as a new product, they have relatively few orders for the mini single yet (its not even on the website)! But thats an assumption.

Just ask again what you want to upgrade from and to and what they can offer if you want to keep your first order date. They are really flexible when you have multiple machines to throw back at the waiting line.
Updated my 2 orders for 6 Jalapenos total into 1 order for a SC 60Gh/s model. With an extra payment of course, and with the initial order date.
Yeah, good on BFL. Customer service has definitely improved recently. It will be fun to see what the haters have to say when we are receiving ASICs next month.
I asked for paypal since that is fastest, I have no bitcoins left, and was told that was ok, I would receive a paypal invoice, but that did not come in yet.

I just had 2 Jalapenos ordered, ordered within the first week. I was perfectly happy with that order until the spec jump left Jals a tad in the dust, and would now prefer to pay extra for a Little SC, but don't want to get shoved to the back of the line for such as said.
To be clear, you could upgrade your 4 Jals to a Little SC but the 2 Jals were left as Jals, right? They told me 4 Jals was the minimum for an upgrade not effecting the order queue.
