Better to focus on other things such as sport or play other computer games. But in the end, still it will depend on yourself even how many advice you get. If youll take them or not or you really can apply them.

Best advice is :

Open Google in whatever browser you like and type as search

How to stop gambling addiction

It will come up with a lot of useful information, I suggest you read the majority of it, but in the end it depends only on yourself and how well you have developed self control.

Some people here also has given a lot of advice like you say all depends on how self-control gambling I think it is important
all the way will be useless if you do not seriously want to get out of gambling so from now on your self control

Self Control is key. Whether it is gambling or to deal things in real life.
Having self control will help you in every step in life. So start to work on that. From there you will notice you have made a big step.

If you feel the urge to gamble, then quickly make yourself busy (even though you are not). It is quite simple to quit gambling, IMO. Well, for me, I'll make myself busy all the time, or I went to park to enjoy the nature or travel to new places. Well, if you find it tough to quit, you should seek help from the professional.

Well the idea is very suitable for gambling addicts kept busy will certainly make losing time to gamble try flurry for useful things
the important thing is always to shy away from gambling sites
in my opinion if a person really wants to play gambling games and it is entertaining for him then he shouldnt quit gambling his money in my opinion

though if a person wants to quit it i would recommend going to your doctor or psychologist in order to receive some help that would allow you to quit gambling easier

I did not know it was successful or not but should be tried
from now on you should reduce the amount of money while gambling do continuously so you find a normal point when gambling
Another way you should target money while gambling may only spend $ 50 each month according to the ability of your finances

If you are serious your best kick at this is to get more involved in life and sometimes another addiction with less effect can help get you off the gambling kick. Something that you really enjoy, seek that out for at least 30 days and see if that helps the urge to gamble go away. 30 days is just a goal, its long been disproven for kicking a habit but you achieve it and it gets easier to break from the gambling. Remember not to beat yourself up when you relapse,it will take some time and you will find what triggers you to gamble.

After I lost around 50 btc, I felt so bad and starting to do something different. Resuming my normal routine, BUT my mind always call me into play dice game and lost even more. I was gloomy and sad. Time will help you eventually. Start to talk to others and have some nice conversation.

Halfender, I decided to code and create monodice.com to fulfill my own addiction and satisfaction on dice gambling. It is playable for free since 2014. I tried to make it real and responsive as possible. I hope I can help you and others more who want to quit. Please share and spread the word. I really hope it help you as it helped me in every way.

Sincere,

You need to distance yourself from any situation where you would be triggered to gamble. Most people get addicted to the adrenaline rush or it fills a gap {eg. Boredom } You

will have to isolate the triggers and avoid them and also search for the answers to why you want to gamble and try to fill that gap with something more positive and

constructive. Let's say it is boredom... then you can rather start a new hobby or learn a new trade. If you want more help, visit this site :

http://www.helpguide.org/articles/addiction/gambling-addiction-and-problem-gambling.htm

This section is the best advice on that site. { For the people, who are too lazy to go through the whole thing }

" Self-help for gambling addiction and problem gambling

The biggest step to overcoming a gambling addiction is realizing that you have a problem. It takes tremendous strength and courage to own up to this, especially if you have lost a lot of money and strained or broken relationships along the way. But many others have been in your shoes and have been able to break the habit. You can to.

Seek help for underlying mood disorders. Depression, stress, substance abuse, or anxiety can both trigger gambling problems and be made worse by compulsive gambling. Even when gambling is no longer a part of your life, these problems will still remain, so it’s important to address them.
Learn to relieve unpleasant feelings in healthier ways. Do you gamble when you’re lonely or bored? Or after a stressful day at work or school? Gambling may be a way to self-soothe unpleasant emotions. But there are healthier and more effective ways of managing your moods, such as practicing relaxation techniques.
Strengthen your support network. It’s tough to battle any addiction without support, so reach out to friends and family. If your support network is limited, there are ways to  make new friends without relying on visiting casinos or gambling online. Try reaching out to colleagues at work, joining a sports team or book club, enrolling in an education class, or volunteering for a good cause.
Join a support group. Gamblers Anonymous, for example, is a twelve-step recovery program patterned after Alcoholics Anonymous. A key part of the program is finding a sponsor, a former gambler who has experience remaining free from addiction and can provide invaluable guidance and support.

Base on your seconds comment, I have to say, occupying yourself with something else, won't do the trick permanently and as soon as your unoccupied, you'll see yourself back in it. Taking Psychotherapy sessions would surely solve it permanently (speaking from a real life experience when I was young and didn't know how to stop it). It took me around two to three months of constant sessions to learn how to react when I'm at one of those scenarios again. I know it's going to be a paid solution, but it will be worth every bit of it.

Forget all your loses on gambling, because it's really affect you and if you remember it, it will make you hard to forget about gambling. And find a hobby that can replace your time on gambling.

it amazes me how some people find it hard to stop doing something so bad. just close the site and never come back.

Not so easy to quit gambling may be easy to say but hard to do especially for members Bitcointalk almost daily discussions related to gambling
I also difficult to quit gambling but I'm not a big gambler only gamble with some of the money I earned from this forum don't use money from real job

There are actual support groups who can help. Gambling is an addiction and as such, should also be taken seriously like narcotics addiction and alcohol.

I know about it I also have a friend of a gambler even gambling addicts recently he lost the gamble and said to me would stop gambling for a month
but he did not actually do it he gambled a few days later. I have not heard a powerful way to quit gambling.

I was once addicted to gambling.I was so much into gambling that I started dreaming of casinos in my food, casinos were all over my house. This scared me,I started getting anxious.I tried witchcraft ,flew down to the darkest Jungles of Africa to find best witches but couldn't get rid of them Casinos. Finally it hit me one day that I should use a simple life hack and make a thread on bitcointalk about it.I did.Guess what ? My addiction went away in less than an hour .The sad part was I lost my intelligence too.
