When someone needs some Radon (asset) to put for example, a note on the Smartchain, in my understanding there're two ways to get this. First is buying Radium (coins) and burn this yourself, second one is having another user send Radon to your own username on Smartchain. Burning coins into asset will take time and need preparation while having other users send this is fast and easy. Since there're no plans to let Radon being trade on a exchange, are there any plans to build in a decentralized middle man service which makes sure nobody gets scammed in trade?

Cheers!

What's the point of turning Radium into Radon instead of just using Radium to pay for blockchain services? I'm sure there is one, just curious about what's going on there.

When you turn Radium into Radon, you are pre-paying a fee (via a high fee transaction ) to those supporting the blockchain by staking.  The Radium received acts as a pre-paid token the owner can then spend to pay for blockchain based services. Using this method, the fee handling is 100% decentralized, and is randomly distributed among the stakes. There is no need for specialized masternodes to handle fee distribution, as it is all handled directly in the chain. As the use of the SmartChain increases, and more people are turning Radium into Radon, the stakers will earn more rewards, as the blocks will include not only the staking reward, but also the Radium generation fees.

Please let me know if that needs more clarification. To the best of my knowledge, Radium SmartChain is the only project to use such a system, so there is not much to draw a comparison to.

Peace!

JJ
Did you mean to say "The Radium received acts as a pre-paid token ..." or "The Radon received acts as a pre-paid token ..."?

Ooops good catch. I was typing too fast. Post edited. Thanks!

noob question...

I have slow decay running... gaining radon in exchange for radium.  Is radon primarily for purchasing service on the smartchain?
Radium can be traded on exchanges, so is monitized.  How about radon?

Radon cannot be traded on exchanges as far as I know and is only used as a blockchain asset within the SmartChain client.

bitkapp is 100% correct. Radon is used to "pay" for blockchain operations, such as recording file hashes, or text notes. It can be transferred from user to user, but there is no plans to get it on an exchange.
