Hello guys,

I dont understand but i cannot unlock my wallet :\

The pass-phrase isn't ok ! And i really don"t know why. Trying with/whitout capslock...

I "only" have 2800 rain but...panic !

I made save as dat. How can i try to reload the dat ? I don't see an import menu.

Thanks a lot.

You saved it AFTER you put in pasword right?

Then as said go to %appdata% and copy paste wallet file

I'm not 100% but I suppose you just have to change the .dat file on %appdata% / rain

for the one of your back uo
did you back up after encrypting?

Yes, afaik the transaction will still be on the blockchain only appearing when wallet online and fully synced but as you said i assume you do miss still some transactions. The beauty of RAIN being the rewards are random

Hope this helps

i bought some coins for check how much % stake they give,
but unfortunately my block size is just 2k , and 15 days, no reward
wallet is online 24/7 and fully synced.

should i buy more to increase weight of wallet to get  reward?

In the debug console, type in "getstakinginfo" and verify both "enabled" and "staking" are shown as true. Also, there you can see "expectedtime" in epoch, by when you would get the stake rewards.

did this
thanks for the info
the thing is that I received expected time as 2232064
using this epoc to date conversor I get 26/01/1970 17:01:04 so I'm clearly doing something wrong

but If I just put the cursor above the small cloud on the wallet I get a weight of 2353, the network weight and expected time to earn reward on 25 days.

I'd like to understand better what does the weight means as well. gonna look into that.
Oops.. looks like I'm wrong about "expectedtime" format as epoch. It's definitely something else. Let me dig a bit in the codebase Smiley

Probably yes. I have over 30K RAIN staking, getting rewards on average every other day, so I reckon, having 2K will give you the reward on average once a month.

That's quite awkward and I don't think that's even close to being true.

I have 1.6K rain and I've been staking for 4 days and I've had two rewards and the third shouldn't be taking that long either.

got around 2k here to test as well and estimated time is more than 30 days, but it's going down faster. (yesterday it was 90).

did you ever had problems on windows erasing the blockchain when cleaning temporary files?

is it a problem if you don't keep the wallet running 24/7 but only when the computer is on?
I know you may miss rewards but you'll probably still take some, right?

Is your wallet connected and fully synced up? And you do have a RAIN balance right in order to be able to stake?

There's something I'd like to ask:

Lets say you have 1.6K rain staking and your weight is 4132 and a reward comes through.

In the end, from what I've seen, your weight remains the same. If the wallet is left open will it eventually hit more rewards or should the user quit the wallet and re-open so that weight starts from 1?

Regards.

Hello, how much is the apr for this coin? I want to start staking because my buy order has been filled and how large is the size if i want to sync or is there a bootstrap available for the wallet because i have a limited bandwidth.

I believe the apr is 200% per year however the staking rewards are random so one day you might stake 50 Rain and the next over 100 Rain but overall it's 200% a year. I would split your blocks of coins into 10k or 20k blocks as this will help you stake more often, for example you have 100k total Rain and you stake a 20k block you still have 80k staking instead of one large block where it will stake the full amount and you'll have 0 coins staking until that block matures. So it's best to split them up into smaller blocks.

you got to pay a fee for splitting blocks or this would be just changing settings on the wallet?

Yes the fee is 0.10 RAIN, but do it right if you split blocks.

Settings > Options > Display Control Features *experts only

Send Coins > Inputs

There you can see the blocks.  Smiley

I read that it's possible to screw it up, so watch out.

luckily we have a good tutorial here
http://www.pos-monkey.com/what-is-coin-control/

in the end, all the blocks will keep stacking, right?
is there the risk to make a block that is too small?

Haha, handy!

Well I don't know how much you hold. But I prefer to split the blocks in various sizes for optimal staking.

I am really satisfied with the staking rewards of the last couple of days.  Grin

well. by now I have just a small bag with way less than 20k Rain, you think it's still worth to split it or better to just keep it like it is?
will it stake faster with smaller bags or better to keep only this one not that big? instead of many many small ones.

what do you think?

Hi community/dev. I really love RAIN and have been following basically from launch : )

Just wanted to say im pretty sure i read somewhere (possibly the OP) when this coin was still on early stages that everytime it rains on a miner/farm they would get extra rewards. Although i have no problems whatsoever with how this coin has progressed and where it is now i think everyone is doing a great job, i just thought that when DEV implements the IoT devices into the wallets this may be able to come true as this data can be logged through the devices to measure rainfall on certain wallets/miners etc. Like a second implementation after the first if you like, will not affect me as much just thought it would be another amazing feature this coin could produce.

I for one cannot wait to use these devices and will certainly have a weather station set up on a dedicated mobile laptop run on solar with my wallet to measure pollution, rainfall and certain water/air parameters for my crops.

Good luck!!

I believe and hope that Dev can implement Masternode on its other currency, that is the boat, because the rain coin with its POS 200% year, or 0.5% day around, is very good and very sought after by investors.
In my opinion there is no need for rain!
