On July 4th (America day, lol) you could buy around $6.50, now a million dollars is willing to sit at gox trying to get coins for $7+. It's on imo.

Good thing you bought coins right?  Wink

Not when the order book looks like it looks right now, I don't think at least. Do you realize that ~80kBTC is all there is available atm? If someone tried to buy over time they'd pay way more under the current conditions.

I'm honestly just lol'in it up over here. This shit is getting insane!

Same.  Cheesy

EDIT: there just isn't any supply there. I mean what is this BS:
Code:
18.50 430 (1) 50015 622471

If someone wanted to buy 50kBTC the price would instantly jump to $18.5

Well one wouldnt want to buy 50kbtc if they could do it at a 60% discount over time.

So the strategy should be to be prudent but also anticipate the imprudence of the rest of the market?

what do you think the real world markets are based upon including the gold trade?  its all based on a Bernanke Put.  how imprudent is that?

having said that, this breakout for Bitcoin, IMO, is a prudent fundamentally based move .  just wait until the imprudent arrive on the scene to push it to bubble heights.  we're nowhere close to that.

i sympathize though with his quandary of hanging on into a bull market.  it's the hardest thing to do.

Could it be called the curse of a prudent person? Tongue

you yourself have correctly said that markets are irrational or imprudent.  they are marked by huge swings in volatility that exceed any rational investors expectations.

i think the irrational move for Bitcoin to the upside will dwarf $32 and will result in gold parity at the least.  it may take a few years though.
