Slowing down is difficult due to the momentum but remember that this is still nothing compared to what happened last year. I feel there won't be a bubble of those proportions again.

The price might rise to those proportions and beyond of course but it isn't necessarily a bubble when it does.

I do agree that stability > price getting heavily overvalued. I don't think that it is overvalued yet though.

Yeah, it was truly insane last summer. I like to look at the all time Gox logarithmic chart for perspective. The slope (on a log chart!) is really steep. Compare to how flat this current liftoff from $5 looks.

It is very encouraging that this is not media-fueled.

It's BTCBTCBTC fueled!

People can legitimately shout "small bubble" with the price anywhere under $30 or so. But they can't shout "large bubble" unless we go over the previous bubble's peak, because however big that bubble was, it was built on much less of a foundation than Bitcoin currently enjoys.

And my goodness, InfinitiPoker hasn't even launched yet Wink

does anybody else really hope this slows down asap?

aye, I don't mind seeing the peice increase. But stability > price ftw.

Exactly. Really, stability probably returns a higher price in the long run anyway. It's kind of nice to see my money grow so fast, but i just don't want to see it pop.

What I like to do when the price goes nuts like this. I spend a small percentage of it on solid goods. Caus coins, etc, etc.

I wish I had the same resolve.

I wish I could attribitute it to resolve and not, "ohhh, I want shiney stuff in my hands."  =)

On July 4th (America day, lol) you could buy around $6.50, now a million dollars is willing to sit at gox trying to get coins for $7+. It's on imo.

Good thing you bought coins right?  Wink

What would I buy them with? I only have coins.

Good answer Smiley

If I thought it was overvalued yes, but my calcs tell me it's fine up to $10-12. The issue is momentum carrying it into overvalued territory.
