I download the wallet from the OP and it's syncing with about four connections and without any additional nodes or conf file added.  I did get a "Checkpoint is Too Old" message but it's continuing to download.  Let me know if you have any ideas on this.

I have the same number if its downloading fine I probably would leave it as its downloading the blockchain info it should be syncing itself to checkpoints along the chain to know where and what chain its on if it stops you can go to console in your debug menu and type getcheckpoint and it should check and reset the checkpoints to better ones had that problem once myself the getcheckpoints command fixed it fine

Nice to see some positive movement here. And blockchain is pretty alive in a last months. ~14k blocks in 9 days - it is a normal count.)

Trying to here got a personal friend of mine looking through the code at the moment ill hear back in a few days on what he finds to speed up blockchain syncing gonna get ahold of a mod this week to see if we can get all the old GRW posts out of here and consolidate into one with current wallet and bootstrap so people can stop having issues setting up wallets to actually use this trying to bring it into the next era of coins

It's on my to do list sorry if you would like me to upload somewhere else or if you want head to the growthcoin website and if you click the current block button it will allow you to download  the current bootstrap I understand if you wanna find the current wallet I honestlu don't remember where I got it from I swear it's clean but I understand if you don't download was just trying to help you out

Thanks.  Just so the thread knows, yeahitsme and I are talking in email and we both have some programming background, so are looking to get this started up.  I am involved in some other Token projects so I can't do a lot but this is a great coin and I think it will rise up.  I downloaded the wallet from the OP and it's synching the blockchain again.  I'm ok with it being on a desktop now instead of my laptop as it's a little bit memory hungry for a laptop with other wallets.

hey paramind what wallet did you download ive had your problems before because there are like 3 different beta versions out there and 2 are on wrong coin forks so they cannot find the correct checkpoints from the main chain here are the ones I am using working great

Wallet QT - https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxlln9ujhpnu5fq/GrowthCoin-Qt%20%281%29.zip?dl=0

Bootstrap - https://www.dropbox.com/s/vdgn0ip7h6rnqu3/bootstrap_2146777.zip?dl=0

Make sure if you have coins in your current wallet you copy your wallet.dat over or make a backup before you change anything

also if anyone wants to help update and develop this coin with me PM me

I don't follow this thread like a hawk so I don't know you well enough to dl your wallet.  Why don't we discuss in this thread restarting the thread with people who everyone knows pretty well then we can talk about an official wallet and bootstraap.

Maybe we should start this thread over with an official team and download links.

I did it and had two connections so thought it was syncing as it said it was.  I then unlocked my wallet for staking and checked my wallet again and had 0 connnections.   I  restarted it and now not unlocking it until it catches up, but the blocks I've downloading aren't moving yet it saws I have 3 connections.
 I deleted the peers.dat again just in case.

So, a bit back where I started.  It sucks to have to delete all the things in appdata besides conf and wallet.dat.  I'll try rebooting, that worked with a Buzzcoin wallet problem.

Any other possible ways to correct this problem in case others have it?

It has a repair wallet function right in the menu and I did that and it said "wallet failed integrity test # of orphans deleted".  It's still not catching up.

We really need some people to chime in here.  I've been an evangelist for this coin and now it seems the network is dead.  I have never used a peer list before so if that's needed please let's have some more discussion here and help newbies out.   A coin depends on its community.

Close wallet.
Delete file Peers.dat

Edit or create growthcoin.conf;
   remove any existing lines begining with addnode=
   Add the following lines;

addnode=93.40.224.220:17624
addnode=128.199.191.230:17177
addnode=130.204.209.95:17177
addnode=173.246.10.52:17177
addnode=203.20.114.252:17177
addnode=188.226.240.91:38330
addnode=51.254.45.117:39910
addnode=184.164.129.202:62594

Save growthcoin.conf, restart wallet and let it sync, at time of writing I see arround 2194105 blocks.

Thanks.  I'll do that.  It's ok to create a conf file with nothing but addnode lines?  Because I never had one before.

Also, I was wondering maybe all these tiny blocks might be one reason why my thread/wallet is being refused?  Can one send the tiny blocks to oneself if one isn't synching?

Each second time or so, when I open the wallet it's syncing or synced, so it's still rolling for me. But not more than 1 block per hour.

Another node to take notice of: addnode=51.254.196.222:50272

Up to block 2000452 now, around 12 pm, Saturday Maj 6. (probably CET/GMT), 10 am UTC.

Approx. 50 blocks in 10 days, since April 20th. Transfers is going to be somewhat slow.  Tongue

15 nodes as of right now:

addnode=128.199.191.230:17177
addnode=188.226.240.91:17177
addnode=203.20.114.252:17177
addnode=74.118.195.134:17177
addnode=45.63.23.240:17177
addnode=167.160.36.187:17177
addnode=188.113.218.172:54504
addnode=51.254.196.222:52280
addnode=184.164.129.202:62316
addnode=109.174.57.122:55991
addnode=98.115.147.74:38593
addnode=158.58.130.111:63998
addnode=97.104.190.230:50485
addnode=[2001:0:9d38:6ab8:835:cd94:88fa:2295]:17177
addnode=119.6.28.103:46265

Can I just create a blank text file called GrowthCoin.conf and put these nodes in and nothing else?  Would that fix my connection issues?

I have gotten a lot of really small stakes and I'm new to staking wallets and pretty busy so just learning about coin control.

However, I think I also need a .conf file as I keep getting only one connection and the still synching message.   My recent stakes are not being verified.

2 days trying to get the bootstrap to work. 5 days to download the blockchain from scratch. How does anyone expect to get involved with this coin if it takes a long time just to get rolling.

Was very frustrating i generally stake on my laptop which is newer i7 no vid card but even loading bootstrap and not working took 2 weeks vs 5 days to dl the chain theres gotta be something that can be done we as the community should look into it and see if we cant make it more accessible to people to sync and get involved

I got the bootstrap to work using the v1.3.0.1-beta wallet. took 2 days without touching the splash screen.
oh nice idk why mine was taking ungodly long but it's over now been staking great the last few days markets are kinda touchy here lately but such is the cryptolife
