Same happend to TIPS, Just wait.
What exactly happened to TIPS and is it legitimate to compare these two?
Haha. yes.
It was at 3 liteoshi for weeks and then it spiked over 100, i beleive. even after the "crash" it's still 10x profit for anyone who had it early. So with it's high block reward up to 5million, yeah, it's probably comparable IMO. Although cryptos are constantly evolving, I do see value in FCK's as much if not more than TIPS.
i think what people don't realize is (or maybe they do and they just are in denial), but bitcoin was worth literally NOTHING for almost an entire year, and when i say nothing i mean literally.. nothing 0$.. nada.. zilch.. litecoin was worth nothing for a year and then worth just pennies..
then what happens is a thing called 'the network effect'
Definition of 'Network Effect'
A phenomenon whereby a good or service becomes more valuable when more people use it. The internet is a good example. Initially, there were few users of the internet, and it was of relatively little value to anyone outside of the military and a few research scientists. As more users gained access to the internet, however, there were more and more websites to visit and more people to communicate with. The internet became extremely valuable to its users.
i guess i haven't said this enough, or maybe people don't want to wade through the bullshit fud spreaders on the forums who 'talk up' and 'talk down' for their own self interests, but we have plans for this project and they aren't going to happen overnight, or even in the next year i imagine. the plan also isn't even mainly about fckbanks the crypto currency really, although the plan is to start something that works WITH that. we have an opportunity here with an extremely solid concept for the project that goes along with the crypto currency and the fckbanks branding all together. i like to think of this more of a way for people to get interested into crypto and to spread an actual message (as people have said before, all crypto is against banking right?) that is fun, tho still somewhat serious as with what we can do with it, if it can catch on.
look at dogecoin, it started as a joke, and now is quite useful, tho they have had some serious problems of late. i am actually pro other cryptos, i encourage other people to be too, even if the technology is basically the same for most of them what can be different is the community surrounding them, or even a unique take on their 'business model' (or as i am calling it our "manifesto")
we don't just want to have a crypto currency, because what that does is doesn't really add any value to anything by itself, but we want to set up a place that is about educating people in the evils of banks, about helping people, helping organizations, and doing that through multiple avenues. from traditional fund raising (not even specifically with fck's, but with dollars, bitcoins, litecoins or whatever) to help people/families that are affected by what is going on with the corrupt financial institutions, as well as helping larger organizations with spreading their message. we want to be able to sell a brand, that brand is fckbanks, and frankly its awesome, especially how well it fits into crypto. we want to have badges, tshirts, posters, even custom things designed by artists who want to help out charities and various people who are fucked by 'the man', once that kind of promotion can happen it can turn this into something WAY more than 'just another crypto coin', which has always been our vision since taking it over, and if all you think about is 'the coin' then you are being EXTREMELY nearsighted, its just like people thinking about the price of bitcoin, even though its WAY ahead of us in 'mind share' the power of it isn't its value compared to fiat... its value is the change it can bring with its technology (the same technology we use, and every crypto uses) the difference is we have an opportunity for a different/unique branding angle, as well as be used for other micro transactions just 'for fun' which in the end helps spread the word even more...
i personally haven't spent any of the fcks i have been given, i have even bought more, but thats really besides the point i think, because i am not thinking about price of fcks right now.. i'm thinking about the entire brands worth in a years time or more. maybe i'll be wrong, i personally don't think so, but if i am, then i'll have put in a shitload more time and energy than any of you that aren't on the fckbanks team into this, with no pay if we fail
.
for those of you who don't understand the 'posters' that i put up, or the idea of viral marketing and memes, well...
1) you are morons
2) welcome to the internet
if your idea of 'promoting' is spamming twitter/reddit that fckbanks is 'underprised and will be pumped in 24 hours' see #1
fckbanks has *HUGE* viral potential... its actually mind boggling if you are reading this and can't see that
as a close to this overly long rant
here is a *VERY* rough draft of the basic 'concept' of the site with a couple elements in it (ignore most of the icons they are just rough drafts for placement mostly), notice how its more about 'joining' and becoming part of something, rather than genericcoin#153481's website (obviously the crypto currency information is going to be in there, just not the only thing)
when a person views the page and is at the top of the site:
when a person scrolls down the page the header changes and follows them down as they scroll reinforcing the join message:
