I just ordered x2 of the FFC1212DE fans from eBay and will post up once they arrive and I have them installed.

it gives higher hash  and is louder.


I will do some fan tests the next weekend.

How louder is the new fan ?

I guess they needed the extra power since they hash a bit more then the Rev 1 ?

yeah the new fans are louder.

I got a lot of fans laying around I will see what I can do.

the older fans were deltas which are a good quality.

Yeah just looking at the external sticker on the fans, the new Avalon's definitely have different ones. Since the RPM is almost double on the new ones vs old ones, I wonder if they have to run that high in order to provide the same static pressure as the old fans? If this is the case, I'll have to see if I can buy two of the old fan models and swap them out.

Yeah I think it is a different fan. I have to check.

Everything is going good so far. Just wish I could figure out a way to quiet the fans down on the two new ones. They are currently running at 12.3v @ the PSU
