In the worst scenario possible it may take up to 10 days as well.
I would suggest you to request an "insurance" for your deposit if 5starBTC accepts. Actually you're in a win-win situation imho, congratz

Yes, in retrospect I realize the blockchain delay could work out to my advantage because if the earlier investments expire my investment will get paid.

Is it a deposit address generated from 5starBTC? If yes, then I wouldn't be that much worried.
Maybe your transaction got delayed or just received low priority from blockchain's API (we all know they are having such kind of problems for at least 2-3 months already).

The P2P network is the same for all, so this means every wallet you use has the same confirming speed/time.
